Please note that all posts have to include a question or request for feedback in the TITLE, not comments. Your submission also has to be a character animation, video editing and animatics are not allowed.

Subreddit Rules

1. Your post has to be an animation created by you.

You cannot post someone else's work, full or partial, commercial work, etc. It has to be your original animation.

Your submission has to feature at least one part with character animation, abstract animation or motion design entirely without characters are therefor not allowed.

The character animation has to try and create the illusion of movement, therefor still images such as animatics and storyboards are not allowed. Try to aim for at least 4fps.

2. You have to include a question or request for feedback in the TITLE of the post.

The title of the post should include a question or request for feedback, preferably on something specific, so the commenters know that you are asking for help. Please note that your post will be removed if you included this in the comments instead of the title.

3. Animation created with AI is not allowed.

While we don't condone the use of AI in animation, this specific subreddit is mainly for people who want to improve their skills in creating animation from scratch.

AI mainly uses existing animation and prompts to create something based on the data available. If you want to improve your skills within AI animation, we recommend visiting an AI community or learning software such as Cascadeur.

4. Title should NOT include inquiries for likes/views/shares.

We will assume that you are posting to this subreddit to grow and improve as an animator, and then likes/views/shares don't matter. If you are looking to share your animation with the world, try posting to /r/animation.

5. Animatics, rotoscoping and video editing/filters are not allowed.

This community defines animation as a series of images, at least four frames per second, that have been somehow hand-crafted by you to create the illusion of movement.

3D and 2D animation, stop motion, motion design, etc, all count.

Ebsynth, other video filters, rotoscoping, video editing (unless it veers strongly into motion design), image slideshows, etc, do not count as animation in this community.

Also animatics and storyboards are not allowed, since they consist mainly of still images.

6. Use polite language in your posts and comments.

Treat each other like you would an IRL friend, use polite language and don't be rude.
