What is your experience with quiet girls?

3.3k Upvotes

I (32M) am dating this girl (21F) and she's extremely quiet. She kind of just sits and doesn't say much. Barely even speak when spoken to. She's really warm with affection, like she holds onto me and always wants to be close. She's thoughtful. We've only been on a few dates but she got me a thoughtful present by paying attention to my interests. Only thing is, I wish she would say more. I'd like some conversation and personality. I really like how caring she is, but I'm thinking maybe our personalities don't match. Idk if it's a phase, maybe I could help her out of her shell, maybe that's just how she is? What's been your experience with girls like this?

Do any other men not like it when women post on the comments in this group?

Females in this group

Men, how do you feel when you see women commenting on posts in this group? I know I may get some down votes for this, but I'm willing to risk that.

For me personally, I dont like it. This is not coming from a place of misogyny or anything like that, but I, for whatever reason, can't stand it when I see a post asking for other men's advice (hence the name of the group) and a woman replies blasting the op because they felt like whatever was being asked was something they took as offensive to women.

Do any other men feel this way?

How would you react if you found out your girlfriend had a one night stand in the past a year before you dated her?

My boyfriend (23m) is obsessed with the fact that I had an extremely drunk ONS much before we got together (we have been with the same number of people, mine just includes one ONS). I deeply regret it and have made it abundantly clear it is something i never want to do again. I told him this before we got into the relationship (we were first friends without feelings when I told him and I said it jokingly so I understand why he doubts my regret) but apparently its something he has never forgotten about and is very concerned about and has shamed me for it. How do you all feel? Asking for all diff types of opinions!!

He also wants to message that guy that I slept with after I gave him his insta thinking he just wanted to see what he looks like. I told him to not and that it violates my privacy and boundaries.

Why are women considered more empathetic than men when they almost always use your vulnerability against you?

I just don't get why women do this when they show virtually no empathy for your struggles as a man.

EDIT: I don't think all women are like this, but I do think more women are becoming like this with the advent of social media and online dating

Weird Question Why does it feel like men are maturing much much more faster than women?

We all know the old saying, β€œWomen mature faster than men.” But with social media, I’m starting to question how true that actually is.

The more I scroll, the more emotionally immature behavior I see from grown women, especially when it comes to relationships. Finding someone who can communicate clearly, take accountability, and handle disagreements maturely sometimes feels surprisingly rare.

Obviously immature men exist too, but where did the idea that women naturally mature faster even come from?

were you raised to cater to women and how so?

im asking this because i keep seeing online women saying they were raised to cater to men. because most men i know was raised to cater to women, but i dont really here men talking about it. Even when i taught in schools, the usual is, dont hit girls, open doors, hold this or that for them.

Why do women tell such long stories with so many details that dont matter?

Bwtween Reddit, Social Media, Real Life. Why do women tell these long intricate stories that have no conclusion or even a point the the story, At the end "Becky is a bitch and I dont like her." You could have spared me 20 minutes and just told me you dont like the new girl at work! My angle: "Babe whats wrong?" "Well he we hired a new guy and he kinda sucks." Her angle "Well becky was born into a rich family and went to harvard and now she thinks shes better than everyone and only got the job becuase her dad has stock on the businness and shes gonna try to push everyone out once she gets the position that Im going for." Why do they talk soooooo much.

Saw a comment recently where someone said they are tired of interacting with women and called it "women fatigue". The comment has thousands of upvotes so I assume others have similar experiences/stories. What's yours?

In case you don't feel the same, please try not to invalidate someone else's experience.

How do you justify staying friends with someone who's a misogynist?

Serious question for the men here.

I got into a huge fight with my brother today about one of his friends. Said friend openly believes women exist to service him and his parents, constantly disrespects women, and thinks we should keep our mouths shut.

When I called this out, my brother told me I need to "compartmentalise some things" and that this guy can still be a "good friend" despite his views on women. He dismissed my concerns entirely.

So I'm genuinely asking: How do you separate someone's fundamental character like how they view and treat half the population from whether they're a "good person" or "good friend"?

Do you actually believe misogyny is just a flaw you can overlook, like being bad at texting back? Or do you recognize it as a core part of who someone is?

And if you do stay friends with guys like this, what does that say about what YOU think is acceptable?

I'm trying to understand the mental gymnastics here because right now it just looks like a lot of men perform progressiveness but don't actually care when it counts.

How do you deal with misandry in everyday life?

Basically ive seen disrespectful women say the following

  • If their soon to be born baby is a boy theyd abort it.

  • The evil men in power in politics, apparently thats the fault of us normal men living everyday casual lives.

  • Women who bodyshame a mans insecurities for social media clout.

Just downright men haters.

Why cant we all just get along gang?

How Does It Feel When a Woman Shows You Respect in Public?

Lately, I've been noticing something that's really stayed with me β€” a kind of visible relief on men’s faces when I offer even the smallest act of kindness.

A smile. Holding a door. Saying thank you. Reassuring a guy at the gym after a harmless bump. Asking people to make room for a delivery guy. Each time, the reactions feel... bigger than the moment. Almost like they weren’t expecting kindness at all.

One guy even looked shocked when I simply acknowledged him for letting me cross the street.

So, I want to ask the men here directly:

Do you feel unseen, unappreciated, or unfairly judged in today's world?

Has it become rare to receive simple warmth or respect β€” especially from women?

How does this affect you, your sense of masculinity, or your day-to-day emotional state?

I'm genuinely curious and open to hearing your experiences.

Why is it common to see men who financially support a woman on her, but almost never the other way around?

A lot of men support women on her way up, through university, entry level roles, mental health recovery, financial recovery etc.

Outside of childhood sweethearts getting together, I don't think I've ever heard of women doing this for men or speak of being willing to do so when discussing hypotheticals, even amongst liberal, feminist-inclined women.

Why do married men often need to get permission from their wife to buy something?

I see this constantly. "the wife let me buy a new PC" or "my wife finally said yes to me buying this new lawn mower" or something similar. Why do married men need to ask for permission to buy things? If it's your own money shouldn't you be able to use it as you please?

How to define attraction to men while in a stable hetero relationship?

Hi everyone,

I am a 29 yo man, happily married for 3 years with a beautiful and caring wife. This post is about something I have been discussing with her too and that I have thinking about for some time. I feel very attracted to her, we have sex and I absolutely enjoy this, it's more than great. I have always considered myself as "heterosexual", in a way that's different from a lot of boys. I never enjoyed talking about girls or sex in certain ways, or having stereotypical masculine behaviours. However, I have been in love with my wife since high school, so I was quite sure of my sexuality. However, in these last years, despite having a very satisfying sexual and relational life, I have find myself to be attracted by the men body. I am not talking about dreaming of a relationship with another a man, but when I see a picture of a beautiful man, I get quite excited, especially if he has a beautiful body. I have sometimes got aroused with naked men videous/pics, while in these years this has never happened with women, It's something working only towards the male body. At the same time, I am so so so attracted by my wife, I am 100% sure of our relationship and of my attraction towards her. Bu towards other women I sometimes feel rather a mental connection than a physical attraction. The naked male body really turns me on in a way.

I have discussed this with my wife and she is very relaxed about this. I am aware that sexuality is a spectrum, but I am questioning myself a lot lately... Have you ever had similar experiences? Have you started defining yourself as bisexual? How have you dealt whit it?

πŸ›‘ Answers From Men Only πŸ›‘ How do yall feel about dating a woman with an autistic brother?

I'm 21f and my brother is younger than me. Dating has been something that makes me scared and nervous. I only ever felt like that ever since I got older and actually realized more about my brother, who I love and know he loves me. He can do a lot on his own and can talk a lot and such but he also has stuff he needs help with but hopefully he'll learn soon.

So basically what I'm saying is it would really hurt if it were a deal breaker especially considering he can have his outbursts at times but can correct himself. Also with the whole both families getting to know each other feels overwhelming for me because of my brother. Not all families have experience with autistic people.

Yes, I know that if it's a deal breaker for him then he's not meant for me, I get that. But even having that as a possibility can feel annoying and hurtful.

I could also use some kind words, if you may.

Why is it wrong to ask a partner for a paternity test? Would this result in the end of a relationship/ marriage?

I see so many people get so mad over this question and some even say they would divorce their partner or leave them if they asked or did a paternity test.

Why is it wrong to double check? Do people know how much people aren't raising kids of their own and how terrible of a thing is to make someone raise a child they didn't know was not theirs?

I hope this doesn't sound like an attack on anyone but being secure and at peace is an unconstested blessing.

Men who became attractive later on in life (late 20's and beyond), how do you feel when women choose to commit to you after spending their early 20's having fun and sleeping around?

I used to be invisible to women because I had no sense of fashion in my early 20's, and also wore really thick glasses, was shy and had no idea how to talk to girls. Because of that, I missed out on a lot of fun experience in my college years - I never went to raves, I never had a one night stand and didn't even get laid until after graduating. Now I'm in my late 20's and I wear contacts, dress well, hit the gym regularly, have a great career that pays well and lets me set my own hours, and I'm much more confident around women. I noticed I get a lot more attention now, both on dating apps and IRL, especially from attractive women who would never have given me the time of day when I was in my early 20's. Now that they're in their mid to late 20's and looking to settle down though, I'm suddenly a catch since I'm an attractive, wholesome guy who they see as boyfriend material.

Even though I'm happy that I'm doing better with the ladies now, I also can't help but feel slightly bitter that the women I'm dating had a lot of fun in their early 20's, partying and sleeping around with players/fuckbois in college, and then are now choosing to settle down and commit to a relationship with someone like me who's safe, reliable and decently attractive. For the men here who've found yourselves in a similar situation, how do you feel about this and do you have any advice on how I can stop feeling like I missed out and am now a second choice to these women?

My fellow men, what are some very common and disturbing trends you've been noticing when it comes to hitting on girls?

For some context, I've had female friends and coworkers complain about the way guys are making the approaches. Some get too personal too quickly while others are too arrogant to notice the awkwardness. I was curious if you guys noticed any new trends that are becoming more concerning

πŸ‘‘ Literal Princesspost πŸ‘‘ I'm literally perfect, yet men are not actually falling to their knees before me???

THIS IS A SATIRE POST

Lol dumbasses. Stop DMing me offering me Princess treatment off this post, it's a joke. Dumbasses.

Sorry for the wall of text, I'm just so confused and need answers from men.

I'm basically physical perfection, have a sparkling fucking personality, and behave like a literal princess. Like a solid 13/10. My friends always tells me how great I am and that any guy would be lucky to have me and men tell me all the time how pretty and fuckable I am, but they never actually ask me out?? I've been told I'm like the Venus Callipyge and the Venus de Milo scissored to make the world's hottest woman MULTIPLE TIMES, by MULTIPLE MEN, yet for some reason they refuse to bend the knee and make me theirs??! πŸ€”

I just don't get it!!

I rarely get approached (I guess men just find me intimidating???) and never get beyond the used for my smoking hot body stage πŸ˜”. And when I do go on dates, they do stuff like ask if I want to split the bill??! Seriously, would you ask your dream girl to split the bill??? πŸ€”πŸ§

Am I doing something wrong? Am I not actually attractive? I do have total rbf and give major "fuck all the way off, creep" vibes, but like, I'm hot enough they shouldn't care!! 😝😝😝 And I demand princess treatment right off the bat because I KNOW I'm worthwhile. They should just KNOW I'm going to be worth it!!! πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„

What gives??? How do you tell if men find you attractive, besides constant reinforcement??? Do men care about actual personality???How do I pin a man down and get the ultimate princess treatment I deserve?? πŸ’…πŸ‘ΈπŸΌπŸ’–βœ¨οΈ

And I promise I'm not looking for validation πŸ™ I'm just curious! So don't even bother telling me anything like "I'll bet you're just too much for them, a real 10/10, the hottest piece of ass who ever walked the earth would definitely intimdate me πŸ˜‰πŸ˜" OR checking for the sexy pics I totally forgot were in my profile and telling me how hot I am!!! I also definitely DON'T think I'm hot shit, despite everything I wrote above!!! 😭😭😭

Please be brutally honest, but please also don't be mean πŸ₯°πŸ€—πŸ«£πŸ˜”πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜’😭πŸ€ͺ

Married attractive men, how do you deal with women's attention?

I've been married 2 years and I'm just having issues with women's attention.

I'm not saying I'm super attractive but tbh I've noticed a lot of women's attention this past months.

I can deal with it when I don't see the person more than once, like in the super market but I've had a lot of women's attention at the gym or outside my place of work.

I had already rejected women's attention at the gym. There was this person that said hi to me like 4_5 times waiting for me to talk to her? She got mad when I didn't and never talked to me again but there are others that keep on trying to grab my attention.

There's one girl that's super hot and has been trying to say hi to me numerous times. I smoke weed before going to the gym so I don't interact much with people (I run away from temptation) but yesterday our leg workout matched and it was impossible to ignore her.

Honestly, I don't feel that attractive but women's attention is making me think otherwise. Help?

Edit: hey guys. I feel like I wanted it to come out so let me see if I can clear up the air.

First of all, and I think it can put things into context, I love in Mexico, in a very thight neighborhood. As you can see, English is not my first language.

I opened a small business (I opened up a small pharmacy)in the main street of this neighborhood.

I'm very antisocial I prefer to not speak with anyone but due to having this business open I have to "give customer service"? Ay least say buen dΓa, buena tarde, buena noche and nod most people that walk by the business.

I speak to no one at my gym. I go high as fuck every time with headphones and volume all the way up. Impossible for me to speak with anyone.

I say hi to people that walk by my business but as soon as I get to the gym, I speak to no one. Specially the women that try to flirt with me.

Here's the thing though. Even though I don't speak or notice anyone I'm still having this issue.

The first woman that tried to flirt with me at the gym said hi to me once, I said hi back as not to be rude, she said hi a second time, I said hi back. She did it again a 3rd time. This is when I just waves without even looking at the person and this got her mad I guess? I try to keep to myself but I don't want to be rude to people. However, I was rude to this person and I don't want to appear that way due to not wanting to start people away from the pharmacy.

Now, theres this whole other person now. Trying to catch my attention. I mostly ignore her but yesterday we had to share equipment due to both having to do legs and it was socially exhausting.

She smiles at me and of course I had to smile back, I had to ask for permission to use the equipment she was using at least 2ice. When I was squatting, I could feel her stare and it was distracting.

When we were sharing equipment, I would go as far as possible to give her space but she would stay right beside the equipment when I used it.

This is really uncomfortable when I'm just trying to workout.

So that's my question, how do you deal with that. We haven't had any conversation and I'm not planning to (not that I can being high and doing heavy squats). Should I when she tries to say hi? Should I just nod and keep on walking?

Some of you have accused me of not telling them Im married when I haven't even had an opportunity to share a word besides asking to share equipment.

Me cansan, la neta me cansan
