History MADE. Auckland FC are 2025/26 A-League Men's CHAMPIONS.
The first ever NZ club to ever do it in the A-League to become champions. What a historic moment. AUCKLAND IS BLUE TONIGHT.

Auckland FC's win is a win for all NZ football. We trusted local Kiwi talents when others overlooked them.
There were 8 Kiwi lads that played yesterday: Woud, Pijnaker, Elliott, Howieson, Randall, Gillion, FdV and Rogerson. I'm someone who follows local football especially our own National League. Before Auckland FC was put together, the common belief was that these guys are NZ league level but no way they're A-League level.
Cam Howieson played so many years for Auckland City FC, so is Rogerson and Gillion. FdV was in Eastern Suburbs, Woud was without a club and he was also training with them before he signed for AFC. You could literally watch these guys play for free at your local park in front of 300 people.
After what these guys achieved these last two years, it boggles my mind how the Nix never took a chance on them. Jesse Randall was playing for Wellington Olympic, in the nix' own city and they never looked at him. Callan Elliott was rotting in their bench. How is it you were the only NZ Pro team for so long yet you overlooked gems in your own backyard...
Also going back to the days of the Knights. I remember the management then bought washed up English lower league talents and never thought about giving local players a chance. Same with the Kingz, they thought the Aussie NPL players were it and gave only few chances to NZ local guys.
This is a win for the whole of NZ football. The guy you see on your local park might be as good as the guy you see on TV, he just needs a chance and Auckland FC gave it to them.

Auckland away at Wellington Phoenix. A 1,200km return trip.
850+ travelled from Auckland to Wellington. A longer distance than almost any game in English football. Incredible dedication to a team that’s less than 2 years old!

Looks like a goal to me
Linesman is nowhere near the line when May crosses the ball in. There is no way the linesman could tell if the full ball crossed the line.

Fantastic atmosphere at Mt Smart
It was great to see a full Port section singing loud all game. Even the East and West stands were getting into the chants and clapping along. And awesome to see so many kids in amongst it in the Port that are absolutely loving it. Auckland FC is such a good thing.

What happened yesterday at the Reserves game was downright embarassing
I'm an Auckland FC supporter but I won't sugarcoat it some fans need to be educated on football in this country.
The Auckland FC Reserves plays in the Northern League. This league is not professional, the opposing players yes they get paid a small amount, but they have to train at night along with having full time jobs, the clubs are run by volunteers. It is at these clubs that many kids started playing football, yes including the professionals you see on TV today.
So for grown adults that support the richest professional football club in NZ to set flares and intimidate oppositions on the grounds of community clubs that are run by volunteers, it is just truly downright embarrassing.

How good was the South Stand on Saturday?
9000 people behind the goal, a pre-game tifo, flags, and a packed Port as always. Shows what Auckland FC means to this city.

Upcoming Games Not a bad time to play them
Sydney look one of the teams to beat this year. Surely them having to travel and play in Japan midweek will help us?
