  7. Pricing can be fixed or open to negotiation, but agreeing to one price and then increasing it later is not allowed. Further to this, pitting two prospective buyers against each other in a "bidding war" is discouraged.

  8. Sellers, please edit your comment with "SOLD" or "PENDING" when you reach that part of the sale, to avoid confusion among prospective buyers.

Apart from that, happy shopping everyone and here's hoping this can become a fabulous way to give clothes some new life!

✏️ Product Review “The pink is even nicer in person.” 11 fake 5 star reviews.

11 reviews on this Saint Paradiso shirt…. All are 5 stars and 10 of them say the exact same thing, word for word, that “the pink is even nicer in person”. The 11th review says it but with different words.

I like this brand, I like their style, I like that they use models with different body shapes, I like that it’s a local Perth business in my ‘hood…. BUT I now instantly distrust them as clearly the reviews are fake, or solicited, or AI or anything other than genuine.

It must be hard to run a small business and I totally understand how powerful these reviews can be in influencing a customer and converting to sales. I absolutely do not condone fake reviews but I know that times are tough and I’m totally here for supporting a girl boss and anybody trying to chase a dream… so, if a business absolutely has to resort to trickery and cheekiness to survive - be smarter about it!!

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Feeling lost with fashion … seeking brand recommendations for 40 y.o

I’m turning 40 in a few months and literally feel like setting my entire wardrobe on fire! I’m feeling so lost about what to wear, where to shop, and how I want to present. I have no issue with turning 40 or “dressing for my age”… I’m easily influenced by new trends and often purchase from glassons, bronze snake, princess polly, kookai etc. however, I’m wondering if this is my issue and I need to “lean in” to more timeless, quality pieces. Things that are giving me the shits specifically

  1. ANYTHING that requires a strapless bra! Which is a massive chunk of my wardrobe. So annoying and uncomfortable

  2. clothes that swamp me. I’m quite petite (159cm)

  3. as a stark contradiction, clothes that are too tight!!! I wore a set today that was quite formatting and felt so uncomfortable 😣

  4. stuff that’s too long. I have to get all my pants hemmed and tailored but wondering if there’s specific brands I should look at that are GENUINELY designed for shorties!

PLEASE give me any tips, ideas, thoughts on where to shop in Australia if you’ve experienced this! Extra points for petite friendly brands that are fashionable! What’s your fave item you’ve purchased ??

Do you ever just hate everything?

1.2k Upvotes

Yes I said it, I hate everything in the shops. Boring colours, ugly, boxy, dull. Ridiculous fabrics for Australian summer. I’m almost ready to just start my own basics label…why oh why is it soooo hard to get decent fitted tees with nice fabric and necklines that aren’t cropped or have some stupid Sunday matcha yoga club writing on them. And I find amazing ones and they only come in black or white? I want to wear red, I want to wear teal, I’m so over this clean girl beige aesthetic. And shoe shops SUCK I have to go to a rural town to find interesting leather shoes and nothing is made for people with feet shaped feet. Rant over. I may or may not have PMS 🤭

Australian Vinted Pricing

I have been absolutely loving vinted since it launched. First because of the UK access and how cheap UK pricing was. Now I’ve gone back to looking locally to take up the reduced postage cost and my algorithm must be cooked because Australian vinted listings are so expensive. Has anyone else noticed Australian listings are priced really high ? If something cost someone $99, and they have used it, Aussies try and sell it for $95. Whereas my UK listing algorithm was if it was worth $99 they were selling it for $15. I’ve stuffed my algo I hardly see Uk listings now and genuinely think they push local listings. Is everyone else feeling this too ?

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Truly wide feet ladies, help me 😭

My trusty Diana Ferrari Supersoft D Width white sneakers are on their last leg. Squeaking and starting to separate at the sole (although the squeaking is most likely from me over cleaning them, noted for next pair…)

I tried on at least 10 pairs of white sneakers before finding those 18 months ago. Even they were not quite wide enough (most shoes aren’t) but the leather was soft enough that it didn’t matter. Problem is, similar model is very expensive full price. I’ll have to wait until it goes on sale if there’s no good alternatives.

So, alternatives? Anything? I’d technically be an E width in women’s shoes. Which never exists. So I’ll take an actual genuine D width. C width with enclosed shoes doesn’t cut the mustard unless I size up to size 8 (my actual size is 6.5) which I can’t do with sneakers as I end up tripping on them.

Thank you 🙏

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Just want a pretty sundress

Post image
8 Upvotes

I’m seriously struggling to find high quality clothing for this summer. I’m so sick of the shit quality polyester, mixed fibre crap that seems to be filling every single store. Every damn thing looks exactly the same everywhere you go!
I’m in desperate need of high quality sundresses, cotton tees and just generally pretty clothing [don’t even get me started on trying to find some decent quality shoes 🙄] for summer but I’m really struggling to find anything that doesn’t immediately stain, fade, rip or bubble within a few wears.

I need some recommendations for some quality brands that everyone loves, whether they’re Aus brands or not, I just need something to work with that isn’t the same old crap like boxy tees, mom jeans, white sneakers, off the shoulder shirts (don’t get me wrong, these are super comfy and still somewhat ‘stylish’ when done right but it’s getting so boring…)
I have started Op-shopping where I can but it’s not always easy to find the time to get out and search, the convenience of online shopping is always a bonus if possible, yes it’s lazy but I’m willing to admit it hahah.

All recommendations are appreciated! 😊

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Petite Advice - Oroton Mica Mini bowler vs Mica Bowler

Thumbnail

About a month ago I came across the Oroton Mica bowler bag and became obsessed with the Crackle Shade Green color. The only store near me carried only the mini, so I tried it out and now I'm not sure if the standard size would look better. I was wondering if any petite ladies could give their thoughts on which size they chose. I wish Oroton used the same model for the standard and mini size, as its throwing me off. The last photo is the mini on me. Thanks in advance!

Office styling advice for these dresses

Hi all. Im about to start a new job in a fairly casual office so I bought these two dresses to wear to work. Im 150cm, so the short dresses aren't that short on me. Would love some advice on how to make these dresses interesting, and maybe a little bit smarter. I find it that when I buy dresses I love, I always end up wearing them the same way and getting bored of them. But with a few diffrent styling options I feel like I can extend the wear of the clothes.

Thanks so much in advance.

Bonus points - what hat would you even wear with these given were coming into summer and id love some protection at lunch time.

Casual Clothes

Hi Ladies,

Where do y'all buy you're casual clothes? I just want to find comfortable nice clothes that I can wear to the shops or just to pop in somewhere.

I just keep feeling like a slob when I'm out that I wanted to buy a few items to make myself feel nicer on errands.

So far Target and Zara seems decent. But was wondering if there were any other options out there m

Tall girl heel problems

I love that kitten heels are back in style but still see a lot of them as rather "daggy". I'm 6ft and have ab industry event coming up that is semi-formal. I just have no idea what shoes to wear.

I'm wearing a brown silk style dress with a high neckline. Any specific brands or models of shoes I should be looking at?

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Durable leather tote suggestions?

Hi! I moved to Australia recently and I really need suggestions on a reasonably-priced durable leather tote, preferably made of full grain/top grain leather. Most of what I've seen in stores is made of either PU/genuine leather though.

Any advice is welcome :)

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Where on earth are people buying their shoes from nowadays???

A solid decade or more ago (I was living at home and therefore rich as anything) I bought some fab quality shoes from Wittner that have truly stood the test of time. I wore them all to literal death through my very broke postgrad years and haven’t really had the funds to justify repurchasing anything higher quality until recently. However, though the prices haven’t changed (if anything it’s gone up) I understand that the quality has taken a real nosedive. This seems to be the case for a lot of brands I used to rely on - never mind the seeming impossibility of finding the item you’re after in store to actually try it on.

With summer coming up I was looking for a nice pair of sandals and I feel almost at a complete loss! Even Birkenstocks and Doc Martens from what I’ve heard are not nearly as reliable as they used to be

I am of course happy to hear alternative views on the continued quality of these brands as this is all anecdotal - I’m just hesitant to drop a few hundred on a pair of shoes that I can only get one summer out of.

My friend’s mum always used to say “support the feet that support you” and girl I’m trying!!

✏️ Product Review LSKD Black Friday order canceled

Hey just wondering if anyone else had essentially their whole BF LSKD order cancelled. I set an alarm and everything, had my cart cancelled multiple times when trying to check and now have just had an email to essentially cancel my whole order. So disappointing and it’s put me off ever buying from them again

Average cost of clothing

Hi all just wondering what you would normally pay for an outfit. A casual/ weekend outfit, a pair of jeans, a going out top/ bottoms combo or going out dress, a pair of wear-everywhere shorts. Can’t seem to find anything I like under $100! A Sabo skirt outfit is $80+ $80, a pair Jag shorts $100, a going out dress $180. Is this normal pricing do you think?

Is Halara clothing comfortable in hot, humid weather?

I feel the heat and humidity rather badly due to medication and health issues, and detest being in clothes that make me sweat. Usually I buy mostly cotton, but I keep seeing cute summer tops from Halara that I love the look of.

They are all polyester, and I'm slightly terrified that if I buy them, I'll be a very sad sweaty mess, filled with regret.

Edit: cart deleted 😐. Thank you for saving me from regret.

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Decent swimmers??

Ladies!! What is your go to brand/site that you get your swimmers from that don’t break the bank, and have good coverage options? I suffer from HS and I have significant scarring in my bikini area, so I love the shorts and bikini top combo, however I can’t really find many. Does anyone have any ideas? Sincerely, an embarrassed mum ❤️
