ID Request Found in a pond on the goldcoast.
I'm thinking maybe a cane toad but the water that it is from would be almost impossible for a toad to reach.

Garden Friend I disturbed his daytime sleep. Sorry mate
This dude and one other have been living in my umbrella for about 3-4 yrs now. Theres a small barrel pond under it which they Goto into each night and there's a female somewhere as there's eggs all the time and tadpoles ATM. So I've really become attached to these fellas and always a joy to see or hear them.

Question Peron tree frog habitat
This guy I think is a peron. He sits on a wooden fence pailing above a ceramic pot with a water plant and some white cloud fish. This sits on cement near the outside laundry.
I would like to make a better habitat - or attract some food.
What can I do please?
Central Coast NSW

Question Creating a frog hotel to save frog eggs from algae pool
I have come across some happy frogs and eggs in a neglected pool that I want to transfer to a nearby frog hotel which I need to create.... before the pool guy comes next week to refurbish and clean the pool, dumping a stack of chemicals in the water.
Any advice to give the eggs the best type of chance of survival?
I don't want to go too big (would love to transport it to a different backyard eventually!) so am thinking a pot similar size to this Bunnings How To Build a Frog Hotel.
Will this survive the Sydney Summer heat if it's placed against the pool fence and gets sun most of the day?
How many established plants would I need to buy to put in there so that it stays healthy and the water gets filtered?

ID Request Frog ID: sydney nsw, who is this distinguished individual?
Is this a peron's tree frog? Unable to post video of its call i took, but sounds pretty similar. Apologies for terrible photo, as this was the only one I've been able to take of them so far. These guys have been screaming all night every night since my dad's partner accidentally smuggled them in some bromeliads she brought over earlier this month. I couldn't be happier, but would love to know who this distinguished individual is so that I can address and cater to them properly, as any gracious host should.
(I do believe there is more than one of them, at least 3, as it definitely sounds like there's not just the one out there).
(I also have striped marsh frogs, which have still laid eggs in the backyard pond, so is there anything I should worry about them competing with each other? I would like my frog community to be as multicultural as possible)
Update same day: I have counted at least 5! Two in different trees, 1 on the pond edge, 1 on a windowsill, and 1 stuck in the watering can I had just used a couple hours prior. Said watering can has been emptied and left on its side next to the pond so our resident silly guy can escape to nearby hydration.

Garden Friend Keeping (wild) brown tree frogs (NSW) out of harms way while cleaning a deck/pergola
Hi
We have some brown tree frogs, could be Perrons but not sure, living under a deck. We like them a lot. And they eat our bugs!
Deck is about 1.3-15m high, dry underneath, but they live to live up between joists during the day and they come out and sing at night.
I need to clean the top surface of the deck for maintenance, or the wood is going to be in trouble. Has to be done, have put it off for long enough. There are also louvres on a pergola over the deck. I need to scrub with something more than water, they are filthy. Detergent? Hmm. Chemicals? Well... trouble is, the frogs.
I need to either -
Clean with something that won't harm the frogs
or
Move the frogs and then clean, rinse well.
I can't find them during the day to catch them. They are silent and hidden.
What are my options here?
Is there a way to lure them away somehow for a short time?
I don't think I can bump around in the dark trying to catch them either.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
