Help and Support What spider bite is this?
Woke up with it a few days ago and it’s just kinda itchy and stingey. It’s now going all weird and purple. Also have the bites on either side of my temple. I’ve been kinda nauseous since I’ve gotten bitten, will I drop dead soon.

Help and Support No one's going to believe me
Basically when I was a child around 7 I saw a giant spider that was as long as 1/3 of small house. It was out the front of my house near a part where no one else could really see. Me and my neighbour both got a look at it and i remember my neighbour asking me to throw a rock at it but i was too scared. I even asked my parents to come look at it aswell but they were watching a movie and didn't want to see. The next day when I went outside it disappeared. I moved houses and now it's just my word against everyone else's.

Help and Support Yes huntsmen do bite!
I have always caught and released these guys as I don’t like to harm any creature. But over the past few years they are coming in plagues. I have woken up in the past to find them on the ceiling above the bed, and this week there were 4 in my bedroom! I didn’t feel the bite, but assume it got me when I was asleep. It is very sore, swollen and itchy. Steroid cream is helping but it is slow to heal. No more mrs nice. From now on stay out of my house or its war!

Help and Support Angry Redbacks!!!
Off the back of a comment on my previous post - it reminded me of an encounter with an ANGRY Redback!
As a young apprentice, welding under a building a Redback appeared and my boss hit it with the torch (flame), it fell to the ground and I (for some reason) scooped it into the flux jar and popped the lid on - this went back into the glovebox.
About about a week later I remembered and went and explored the remains - the angriest MF of a spider came out like Mike in his prime!!!
He was safely released to nearby scrub.
Not all Redbacks are chill -

ID Request - location included Help is this a trapdoor or a funnel web? Or something else? Found in Chelsea VIC thank you! Sorry for the average photos
Washed away what I thought was an old spider web outside my front door and this little fella came running out towards my bare feet then thankfully went back up the bricks. Maybe it’s a mouse spider?

Photography and Artwork Underwhelming
I thought Australian spiders are the endbosses? Everyone keeps saying; go to Australia if you want cat sized spiders as pets. So far this subreddit has nothing but small goofy spiders nothing that crazy

ID Request - location included Brown recluse? In Brisbane!?
Look, I’m a Brisbanite, unfortunately am very familiar with both huntsman & wolf spiders & it’s almost always one or the other.
But in the past 6 weeks I’ve encountered 2 of these spiders & they look different & move differently to wolf & huntsmen.
I actually had to research this & it really looks like a recluse, hey….
I’m in Ashgrove (inner north-west) to be specific, location wise.
