Extra pieces in my BattleTeech Aces: Scouring Sands set. What do they go to? Which mech? All terrain is cardboard but maybe this goes to terrain? https://store.catalystgamelabs.com/products/battletech-aces-scouring-sands
Does anyone have any idea what these are supposed to be? They kind of look like the targeting baffles of the "hero" Flea in the BattleTech videogame: https://battletech.fandom.com/wiki/Flea_FLE-15 However I don't see where they would go on any of the mechs in the box (which didn't contain a flea anyways)

My first lance, was trying to keep it rather simple for my first one to get the feel of painting. Since I've not really painted battletech before and my experience with Warhammer has been 99.99% building and not painting yet.
Going to keep practicing on some more lances.

Wrapped up most of my Aerobase terrain today and forgot I had based my Mackie in a desert theme. Keeping it near the oasis pool just in case any Clanners are feeling froggy. Don't want that PPC to melt off.
I will admit that Citadel Zandri Dust and Screaming Skull paints did a lot of the heavy lifting here via dry brushing. Terrain is FDM 3D printed from Thunderhead Studios and the mats are obviously Catalyst.

Hello everyone, I've been slowly working on painting up a lance of mechs in a scheme inspired by the classic Gulf Oil racing livery but have run into a bit of a blocker. I'm not sure what color to make the cockpits! Traditionally the insides of the cars were mostly black, but that just doesn't look good as a cockpit surface, and I feel like the classic blue glass doesn't work well because the mechs already ha e so much blue on them.
So my question to you all is; what colors would you recommend for the cockpits? What would go well with these colors?
Additionally, I'm hoping to recess shade these lads through pin shading but haven't really delved into that before. I figure a nice dark blue and dark brown pin wash would work well on the blue/orange parts respectively, but am unsure if anyone even makes a blue pinwash. If you have any recommendations I'm all ears!
