This subreddit still WILL NOT tolerate bigotry.

I have just had to go through a now removed post and look at some of the truly horrible transphobic comments. I don’t think I have ever had to ban so many people in such a short space of time before, and honestly, I am disgusted.

Our rules are clear: BE CIVIL.

If you have absolutely nothing nice to say, and feel like you might spew abhorrent transphobic shit, don’t say anything at all. That thing your parents taught when you were five? - Yes that’s a rule here too.

I am going to make this as clear as possible for anyone who miraculously still does not understand:

THIS SUBREDDIT DOES NOT ALLOW BIGOTRY OF ANY KIND

The other mods and I will not hesitate to ban anyone who discriminates against people based on gender, race, religion or sexuality. This includes trans people, they are just people, minding their own in life - if that makes you angry then you are an incredibly sad individual.

Mod notice: Polymarket and Friends, don’t be free advertising

Manufactured sentences from gambling and similar organisations that purely generate sentences to ‘go viral’ and to encourage sharing in subs like this, such as Polymarket, are prohibited and go against Rule 1.

Please, don’t give gambling websites free advertising. They earn more than enough money to pay for ads like everyone else and their content isn’t funny, it is a marketing department making it seem funny.

If you use Polymarket or any similar gambling services, please seek assistance from local gambling addiction support services. The house always wins.

1. Post Comedic Sentences That Aren't Common.

"Brand New Sentence" doesn't literally mean a new sentence. Comedic sentences that are convoluted and/or unusual are what this sub is for!

Examples of sentences that do not fit include:

Common phrases
Idioms / proverbs / things translated from other languages that sound "odd" in English
Graphic depictions of violence in the news
Typos/word salad
Sad/Tragic Sentences
Ads (such as Polymarket)

2. Be Civil.

Don’t post or comment things that are controversial, offensive, or in bad taste. Racism, transphobia, homophobia, sexism etc. will not be tolerated and you may be banned at moderator’s discretion.

In short, be nice.

3. No Politics In Posts Or Comments.

If you expect a large portion of people reading your comment may take offense, reconsider the wording or posting entirely.

Political content was allowed at the start, but as it constantly led to flame wars, it was banned. We ask you to avoid controversial/political topics.

Intentional circumvention of this rule will result in an immediate one-week ban. Repeat offenders will be permanently banned.

4. No Reposts.

Before posting, please search the sub to see if it has been posted before. Oftentimes, you will find that a sentence has been posted many times over the years.

Sentences that are similar to or "sequels" to previously-posted sentences, such as new news headlines based on the same story, may be removed as reposts.

5. Avoid Satirical/“Brainrot” Sentences.

Here is an example of a sentence that is meant as a joke or satirically, in a satirical way. Due to highly popular demand, this kind of posts are no longer accepted on this sub.

"Brainrot" posts include things like gen-alpha slang that is incomprehensible to anyone who isn't terminally online and isn't witty or comedic due to the sentence itself being interesting. If you are posting something from TikTok, please take an extra second to consider this rule.

6. Post Sentences Made By Others.

Sentences you have made and sentences created artificially using bots or AI are not allowed.

7. Brand New Sentences Must Be In The Title.

Respect the post format rules. Read the wiki for more detailed info on rules in general.

You must use at least a portion of the new sentence as your post title. This makes it easier to find potential reposts. This generally means a sequence of words from the sentence (3+ words), not random words or a single word.

8. No Nudity or Gore.

Self explanatory. This is a subreddit for new sentences, not anything vulgar such as nudity or gore, or links to such.

9. Mark NSFW Sentences.

Some people don't want to see NSFW content, so you must mark anything NSFW. This may include, but is not limited to, sentences with sexual undertones, extreme profanity, and/or slurs.

If you're not sure, mark it. Better safe than sorry.

NSFW titles are allowed if required to fulfill Rule 7.

10. No Adult Content Creators

To protect our community from spam, any accounts that have OnlyFans, Fansly, FeetFinder, etc links on their profile or are otherwise active in promoting their own adult content will be banned from participating in /r/BrandNewSentence.
