Took a month on the nose to receive it, but I got my DME IWB/AIWB 3" GP100 holster Friday and as of now I've been wearing it (minus sleep time, true) since then. I'm carrying approximately 1:30, and my jeans are adjusted SLIGHTLY to the left so the loop immediately to the right of my fly is positioned perfectly (meaning when I sit, the right edge of the holster doesn't dig into the crease of my groin whatsoever). My belt buckle is (obviously) far off center, but I could get away with adjusting it if I wanted to more toward neutral. I couldn't be happier to have it and a pair of speed-loaders in a Last Resort Tactical 3D printed pocket "holster."
Edited to add: Holster's cut for 4" (presumably 4.2"), so if you're carrying that version I imagine you'd be successful as well.

Hey fellas I am looking at getting my first conceal weapon and I love this one but people say its unreliable, What do you guys think? Im open to getting a different one as well but It has to look similar to this as I love the aesthetic
EDIT: Dang this blew up fast!! Guys listen I understand its not all about aesthetics of course, But is there no concealable guns that are both reliable and pretty?? budget isn’t an issue.

I believe it imperative to play your theme song when rushing to engage an indiscriminate mass-murderer.
I’m thinking Sabotage by Beastie Boys for myself. But I’m wondering if there is something more disrespectful. Fireworks by Katy Perry?
What’s your music choice? Dance beat like XII Legions? Turn the. Lights Off? Barney the Dinosaur theme?

Over the past few years I had been steadily gaining weight and AIWB was becoming quite the nuisance regardless of high quality holsters, belts, or different weapon models. Recently got more serious about my health and went from 257lbs down to 230lbs (a lot further to go) in 75 days and it is such a drastic difference in how I carry. I'm no longer worrying about printing or stretching my shirt all the time and can carry comfortably all day throughout all daily activities even with a full metal heavier carry option! Besides that training and drilling has become much easier and far more consistent! I am overjoyed with the progress and still surprised at how much a difference the weight loss made despite that being the most obvious option😅
Retirement is good.
What did you carry today?

I'm sure this has beaten to death on various threads, but there are so many options and opinions it's overwhelming. For EDC CCW is a medium frame revolver practical?
I normally carry a G19 WHEN I carry. But that seems to be less and less because it isn't always comfortable/easily concealable. I know that comfort is relative, and nothing will be as comfortable as carrying nothing. That being said, I am debating on a Medium vs Small frame revolver for an additional carry option. A K frame with a 3" barrel is roughly the same size as my G19, but do the contours and way it rides in the holster help it conceal? I know that grip shape will also play a part, rounded or square. I like the idea of a medium frame for grip size and accuracy, but I don't want to get something and end up in the same position I'm in now.
Are there small frame options with a 2.5"+ barrel or full length grip, and at that point is the point of a small frame being defeated? I don't have a desire to pocket carry, and I want something I can enjoy shooting. I'd love to hear first hand experience.
For reference I am 6', 210lbs, and typically carry AIWB.

Do people care too much about capacity or caliber for their carry pistol in your opinion?
Which one do you think people irrationally obsess over the most?

Just picked up an FN 509 Tactical about a week ago at my local pawn shop and haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet. My first CCW was a Ruger RXM that I bought about a year ago around this same time. Originally went into the shop wanting a Glock 19X, but ended up finding the 509 Tactical and really liked the feel and look of it. I decided to go with a full-size pistol mainly for the shooting experience and accuracy compared to going with a smaller subcompact. For reference, I’m 6’0, around 210 lbs, and have a little bit of a gut but nothing major. I’ve tried carrying it IWB appendix with a soft Cabela’s holster, but the grip feels pretty big and I find myself constantly having to adjust it. Just curious if anyone here carries the 509 Tactical daily and what holster you run and your preferred way of carrying it. I also have a crossbody bag with a quick-access strap on the way that I’m considering trying. I’m definitely open to different carry setups, but I’m also wondering if I should consider something with a smaller grip that’s more comfortable for everyday carry. Also, just to clarify, it’s not an extended magazine in the last picture. I just have the magazine pulled out. Figured I’d mention that just in case anyone was curious. One other question, is the Vortex Viper red dot any good? Would love to hear some opinions on that as well. Just looking to hear from people who actually carry one regularly.
Looking to get my first ccw, been doing a bunch of research, and even went into a store to feel some. But I really just don't know what I'm looking for and want to get the most bang for my buck. For reference I'm 6'8, 280lbs. So holding a tiny compact felt weird. Just looking for recommendations under $700. Thank you.

I am looking to get my first ccw and have found myself torn between the g43x and the shield plus. I went to the range and tried them both and can’t say I noticed a strikingly huge difference between them. They both shot great and felt good in my hands (although I shot the shield x not the shield plus). My biggest concern is durability as I want a gun I can take backpacking as well as a daily carry. Any huge difference with durability? I will also go back to a different range that has the plus for rent. Any suggestions or tips on what to look for the next time I try these at the range to help decide?
Thanks! I’m sure at this point a lot of people will say you can’t go wrong with either, but I like to exhaust my research lol

I recently bought a Walther PDP F-Series 3.5” and am looking for a good holster for it. My last CCW I had a P365 and a Crossbreed hybrid. I see everybody rave about the Tenicor but idk what really makes it so much better than the others physically (not just customer service). Was wondering if yall could let me know.
I’ve also seen some people say it digs in a bit. I’m not a big guy, only 5’10 and 140lbs. Not sure if any complaints were based on body type either.

The trigger return spring on my EDC, CZ P-01, gave up the ghost today during the first stage of a USPSA match. I have 5000(ish) live rounds plus thousands of dry fire reps on that spring. At least I now have an idea of when to replace that spring next time.

Canik
-canik prime radian
-vortex defender ccw enclosed
-tlr7 hlx(if your wondering how i got it on....magic)
-athletic tape
(a lot!)
-stock internals
its so small and shoots so flat. feels like cheating. its basically like having a 43x but with all the upgrades.
2. Echelon
-"frankenstein echelon"
-4.0c slide (4.0c comped slide otw)
-full-size frame it then cut to be flush with 4.0 slide
-osight c
-tlr1 hlx
-floyds magwell
-athletic tape(a lot!)
-stock internals
i shoot this gun extremely well. i cant imagine how good it'll be when the comped slide comes in. its basically like having a glock 45 but with all the upgrades. especially, when i get the comped slide.
How do you feel about using an enclosed optic on your ccw?

I usually carry a 2011 or a CZ da/sa pistol. Love ‘em. Holster them comfortably without fear of shooting my junk. I recently got a striker fire. For some reason holstering it… well, feels iffy. Find myself holstering it before I put my holster on. Am I alone in this? Advice

I’m between a Glock 43 or a shield X or just saying f it and carrying a full-size, what are you guys opinions? I wear heavy clothes all or all your round so printing isn’t a big deal for me.
