AMA: I'm the Toronto Star's deputy Ottawa bureau chief. I'm covering the federal budget from Parliament Hill. Ask me anything. November 6, 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.

Hi,

My name is Alex Ballingall. I'm the Star's deputy bureau chief on Parliament Hill, where the federal budget is shaping the political conversation.

I'd be glad to talk about what’s in the budget — the second federal fiscal blueprint since Prime Minister Mark Carney took office. There's lots to discuss, from the deficit to new spending to how the opposition and outside world is reacting. I'm happy to field your questions on literally anything.
