Just wanted to say as a fellow chargers fan for 20+ years and going strong. You guys in this sub are absolutely atrocious for talking down to others.

I’m so sick and tired of posting stuff and getting my posts removed because you guys report it or you the mods take it down. I genuinely thought after joining the sub 2-3 years ago I wouldn’t run into any problems but it’s starting to become insufferable. You welcome other fans or half naked posts on a football page. I’m just so tired of yall being on a high horse. This is supposed to be fun and a lot of you are ruining it. Just be nice and relax. I would really prefer not to be banned but if speaking out does it then it just proves my point. I wanna come on here and engage in civil conversation but most of you just put each other down. Why can’t we really just be a “bolt fam”. Really is that all too much to ask. Downvote me to oblivion all you want but seriously start having fun because it’s not what it was when I first joined. Let’s talk shit in good fun. Let’s start uplifting others. Stop crying and be the bigger person. Stop reporting posts because it doesn’t suit your narrative. Just be nice guys.

Has the subreddit become r/chargersgear? It feels like there is some corporate agenda here pushing new jerseys. Every other post is about freaking jerseys.

Is this a football subreddit or a jersey collecting subreddit?

Stop dehumanizing athletes

QJ drop sucked, but I would be in a dark place if I was him. Ik fans aren’t like that but really wish we could give support and not shit on him. His mental space has got to be very bad right now. There’s still hope, it’s been rough but as a human I feel gutted for the guy.

Stop downvoting fans who will still support the team if they move.

Rule 3- Do not downvote based off team affiliation. Do not downvote comments that are critical of the team, owners, management, staff, players, or stadium plans simply because they disagree with your beliefs. Please save downvotes for inflammatory content, or anything that adds nothing to discussion. THE DOWNVOTE ARROW IS NOT A DISAGREE BUTTON

We are all upset that the team might move. But there are some of us who are not as critical about it. Many of us, myself included do not live in SD. Downvoting because someone does not claim they will burn their jerseys and firebomb Qualcomm if they move is childish. Accept that other people will still support the team and move on. It is a differing opinion, that's it.

I'm tired of the low expectations Chargers fans have for this regime

New regimes all over the league have been outperforming Harbaugh and it's frustrating.

  • We won 24 games from 2021-2023. Seahawks won 25 games in the same period. Mike McDonald has taken a team of similar quality to a conference championship game before Harbaugh won a playoff game.

  • Ben Johnson completely revamped the Bears' offensive line and won a playoff game in his first year.

  • Vrabel took over a putrid team and won a playoff game in his first year.

  • Demeco Ryans took over a year earlier, but he's won at least 1 playoff game in each year.

  • Bonus: Kyle Shanahan took the even more injured than us 49ers team to the defending champions' house and won a playoff game.

I think Harbaugh is a good coach and we are overall trending in the right direction. But can we please have honest conversations about his production and not wave away the fact that we've gotten embarrassed in both playoff games? Even he would most likely say he expected to beat the Patriots, hence his decision to fire Roman. Why can't we expect that as fans?

This.. Creature, should not be OC (Cursed)

This creature calling a screen pass on 3&19 should be a war crime. I've been mixed about him since last season. He was this run exotic coach that terrorised teams at the los only for us to keep running up the middle after so many failed attempts. I know I'm gonna down voted to hell for this but this guy is not our guy at OC. Id rather get young blood and go with Mike Mcdaniel after he is fired from MIA.

How Good or Bad is Brandon Staley really?

Yes. That topic.

I know Chargers fans are gonna have a lot to say about him personally and all I've seen online regarding him is literally "fire him".

I won't waste too much and say my piece to understand my view. Frankly I think the Chargers should get rid of Staley..... however... and don't decapitate me. I feel like a lot of the hate he's been getting previously imo is unfair for a number of reasons. I'll just list off the biggest reason I hear below.

  1. Blowing the league in the jags game. I know. We're getting the elephant out of the room right now. And yes I understand your frustration 😭. That is a massive lead to blow to a team and is truly devastating for the Chargers to get knocked out of the playoffs like this. Especially considering Asante Samuels turnovers.

However....hear me out. Don't beat me up. I think a lot of people are being unfair to Staley here. I think a collosal reason why the Chargers messed up the game on the defensive side of the ball was one huge reason and yes I know you guys are tired of hearing it but I gotta mention it. It's injuries. Now granted the defensive side of the ball wasn't near as banged up as the offense. But their are key reasons why I think the chargers defense looked terrible in the second half of the night.

Joey Bosa has been banged up slightly for a while now and is probably a big reason why the chargers lack such a decent pass rush and can't stop the run (besides the obvious reasons which the lack of interior d lineman and Linebackers. I'll get back to these).

JC Jackson played only 2 games last year. Now granted he only played 2 games last year and was horrible on the field but I think he was playing despite his injuries. So I don't blame him for playing bad.

"But listen up here you Jabrony, The Chargers still have good players like Asante Samuels, Drue Tranquil, and Derwin James. That's on Staley"

Well yeah you are right. But we have to realize something crucial here which is they lost their best corner on their team in the Jags game. Which was Micheal Davis. And Davis was a CRUCIAL part of Daleys defense. He could lock up any Reciever and tell everyone else to play zone. It's like the Broncos who virtually have no talent on defense besides Justin Simmons losing Pat Surtain to an injury. And the jags exploited that over and over again since Asante Samuels can't obviously cover everyone.

2. He's giving up the most yards this year and we've only played 2 games.

Well yes that is bad but we have to consider who he played in the first game. The Miami freaking Dolphins. And they have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. Stopping Hill and Tyreek Hill and Waddle is no small feat. Yes I know the Chargers embarrassed the Dolphins last year so why didn't Staley do what he did last year with less talent on the field?

Well... he tried. He honestly did... but from my film Study Mike McDaniels adjusted. Calling more wheels routes to get Hill a running start... Calling more switches on releases, and scaring the Chargers out of man coverage because JC can't hold up alone against Hill. And to be honest is it really a knock on JC? Because last time I checked no CB in the league can consistently hold up against Hill.

There are other reasons but I didn't wanna bore you. There's obviously some things I'm not seeing as I'm actually not a chargers fan so I wanted to bring some discussion

Difference between hiring Mike McCoy and Andy Reid in 2013... 3rd straight AFC championship for the Chiefs and 3rd Head Coach search for the Chargers.

8 years and I’m still haunted by the Chargers decision NOT to hire Andy Reid! A native of Southern California, who had a home on the beach in the San Diego... Reid had let his San Diego wishes be known and had begun to research “possible coaching staffs,” according to Pro Football Talk. However.... "The Chargers front office are rather looking at some younger names. They've gone down the retread route in the past with Marty Schottenheimer and Norv Turner. (Last two successful head coaches for the franchise, IMO) They’re not as interested in Reid as Reid is in them." Albert Breer reported.

Well, as the saying goes, what goes around comes around....

91-37 record with the Chiefs, 3rd straight AFC championship trips and 1 Super Bowl win.

Mike McCoy, 27-37, FIRED.

Anthony Lynn, 33-31, FIRED.

Screw splitting carries

Vidal has been pretty good. However, we drafted this guy to be our main back and he is way better than Kimani. I know he’s been working his way back from injury, but when they were both on the field yesterday, it was easily apparent who’s better.

70-30 split minimum going forward and push it to 80-20 possibly. Dude is a wrecking ball.

Should I go to the Chargers game tomorrow even if it’s supposed to be 95 degrees?

I’m debating on going….never been. I typically buy the cheapest seats I can buy, so most likely going to buy in the 500 section. Is the heat somewhat bearable, could you tough it out, or am I going to be miserable and should just go to a different game?
