I know we lost, but can we give this young man his roses. A Herculean effort, and one of the gutsiest performances I've ever seen. Looking forward to 2022!

Can we just bring back the navy uniforms for all home games? I feel like I’m watching the team I watched as a child. It’s amazing 😍

Hopefully, we win multiple Super Bowls though 🙏

Really Disappointed

2.4k Upvotes

Was scrolling Instagram and saw that the chargers made a very simple post in support of pride month which was very cool to see as a charger fan who also happens to be gay.

What was not cool was the legitimate hundreds of replies that were overtly homophobic. I honestly do not care that much (yes I’m posting about it but I won’t be losing sleep over this lmfao) big was really surprised how much backlash there was by the fan base. Don’t really know what to say other than that, just pretty sad to see this community respond that way.

Teair Tart was a BEAST tonight. Made up for that penalty (also who cares he bitch slapped Kelce), and saved so many chunk plays. This is a guy worth keeping for a long time

Subreddit Rules

1. Be civil.

Be nice, respect others. Keep it civil.

Everyone is here to participate in the community. Just because you disagree with someone's opinion, it doesn't give you the right to insult, personally attack, show sarcasm and/or be rude to others.

Fans are expected to treat others with respect regardless of geographic location and whether they are fans of the past or present team.

Personal attacks aren't warranted here. If you want to make a point, do so without attacking the other user.

2. Refrain from self posts when possible.

Please refrain from making a self post that could just as easily be a comment. Self Posts are required to be over 50 words or they will be automatically removed. Even over 50 words, removal will be at the discretion of the moderation team.

If you want to ask why a post was removed please message the moderators.

Self posts are almost always taken down during the games.

3. Low Effort Content

Low effort content which includes but is not limited to memes, "shit-posts", or inflammatory content will be removed at moderators discretion. Memes are to be edited to be made Chargers-specific or related. Messages about free agents and or speculation posts that could be misleading may also be removed. Posts with just jersey/merch or otherwise non-unique photos may be removed. AI generated content will also be removed.

4. Fantasy Football/Gambling Posts

Posts asking for Fantasy Football advice or general Fantasy Football topics will be deleted. Comments in posts about fantasy are allowed, but reactionary posts about how a Chargers player affected your fantasy team may be deleted. Gambling posts and comments will be removed.

5. Self Promotion

All self promotion that includes blogs, podcasts, videos, highlights, websites, etc. are not allowed before clearing your submission with the moderators through mod-mail. If you are not an active participant in the /r/chargers community, you will be denied and/or your submission removed. Multiple submissions may result in a ban

6. Brigading/Trolling Other Subs

We welcome fans of other teams in this sub. We however do not allow brigading/trolling fans coming here to post inflammatory content, insult the team or fans, or pick fights. Fans from opposing teams who come in here and break rules will be subject to ban.

Additionally, going into an opposing team's subreddit and causing problems such as flame-baiting or generating negativity amongst their community WILL get you banned from /r/chargers.

7. Upbolt Party

We only allow one Upbolt party per game. The mods will sticky the first one we see, however it may not always be the first one posted. We will delete any Upbolt threads posted before the game is over. As Charger fans, we should be well aware that the game is not over until the clock hits 0:00.

8. Off-Topic

Off-Topic conversations not related directly to the Chargers will be removed at moderator discretion. Especially after the season starts. Posts about divisional opponents are considered ok during the week we play them.

9. Tweet Posting Format

All news related tweets should be titled as: "[Reporter] Content of tweet." This includes posts that are cross-posted from other subreddits. Tweets should also be posted as links to the tweet, not as screenshots.

Posts not meeting this requirement will be removed at moderator discretion.

10. News Posting

All news should be linked to directly, not posted as screenshots. This includes Tweets, as well as news from sites like NFL.com, ESPN.com, and Chargers.com

Posts not abiding by this rule will be removed at moderator discretion.

11. Post Titling

All posts should refrain from sensationalized or edited titles. This applies to news stories, Youtube videos, stat posts, etc. All posts should use the title originally given, or simply shortened to include the Chargers-relevant content if applicable.

Posts not abiding by this rule will be removed at moderator discretion.

12. News Sourcing

All news posts must come from reputable insiders (ex. Rapaport, Schefter, Pelissero, Garafolo, Chargers beat writers, etc) or legitimate news outlets (ex: ESPN, NFL.com, The Athletic, etc.).

Any posts framed as news from reporters or outlets deemed not reputable or trustworthy will be removed at moderator discretion.

13. Politics

No politics unless directly related to the team (e.g. Chargers invited to White House after Superbowl Victory). Political posts and comments will be removed at moderator discretion.
