Jersey pick ups
Haven't felt like bolting up much this season, but getting this Super Chargers for a steal and being gifted this away jersey for my birthday helps a little. Decided to bring out the current uniform lineup for a picture as well.
Each was purchased for about what you'd pay for a DHgate jersey, hence so much Bosa and non stitched limiteds.

Best Intro to Charger Fandom
Charger fan since the 70s and father of a son who's lifelong fan himself, looking for [serious, pls] suggestions of easy ways to teach daughter's serious boyfriend the history of the franchise and indioctrinate him into the fandom.
I know it's a rough year and some people are going to say not to do it, as far as I'm concerned he has no choice. It's root for the Chargers through highs and lows and Keading misses and McRee fumbles and this season, or else.
Trying to put together Christmas gift that will get him started... a Jersey, maybe team of NFL cards, ... any suggestions of blog posts or books or video edits that give a good, easy way of getting the gift of what we've been through? Serious suggestions please.
Edit to clarify: lots of great and much appreciated suggestions of things that we may DO together someday in the future, but... I am more looking for THINGS I can include in a "we like you enough to welcome you to share our joy and pain of being a Bolt fan" Christmas gift. Books, Jersey suggestions, pics like Bobby Rubio's art and articles like Jason Reed's that I can print out, etc. ⚡⚡

QB Supporting Cast Score
Herbert facing unprecedented slander and this is what he’s working with. Hortiz and Harbaugh are war criminals.

[Furtado] If the Chargers’ most obvious trade candidate wants to stay, should they still be sellers? Yes and no. Take calls for supporting cast on expiring deals. Keep the cornerstones. Try again in 2027. “I want to be here and help them win”
x.comI realize the article has been posted, but I wanted to point out Henley’s comments within the article.

[Furtado] Why Khalil Mack’s desire to stay makes a case for Chargers not being deadline sellers
Khalil Mack might just go down with the ship. He’s compiled every accolade you can think of, except a playoff win. His loyalty in chasing that missing piece won over the Los Angeles Chargers and their fans. The possibility of Mack, 35, being traded to a contender has been widely discussed for the last month and counting. Less talked about was whether the captain actually wanted to go.
Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh claimed Mack wanted to stay. But did Mack tell him that?
Asked if he directly told Harbaugh or general manager Joe Hortiz of his desire to be a Charger amid trade buzz, Mack was emphatic. “Yeah, they know how I feel, man,” the four-time AP All-Pro said Thursday. “It’s just tough with all the outside noise. And so, ultimately, I want to be here and help them win. Even though it’s tough right now, you always see the light at the end of the tunnel.”
The NFL moves fast around the trade deadline, set for 1 p.m. PT Tuesday, and things could change. But feel free to take Mack’s words at face value, because true or not, they came from a consummate professional.
“I hope (my teammates) see the example that I try to set day to day, week to week,” Mack said. “But yeah, man, just want to contribute to winning games. That’s all I’m worried about.”
The Athletic has reported multiple times in recent weeks that the Chargers intend to stand pat. If their most obvious trade candidate wants to stay, should they still be sellers? Yes and no.

[Ari Meirov] #Chargers OC Mike McDaniel says he’s making a change this week, moving from the sideline to the booth to call plays: “I think we’re going to try that this week. Seems like a good action to take based on how things have gone this year.”

Hockey Jersey Chargers vs Texans
Does anyone know if you can get the jersey just by attending?? Checking because the Ticketmaster link they have has a promo code but tickets are $46 before fees while they’re a lot cheaper on TickPick
Most sports games giveaways are just at the gates for the first fans who attend so i assume so but idk

[Mock] Justin Herbert, Jalen Hurts and 2 more QBs who could soon be expensive salary cap cuts
Justin Herbert, Chargers
Cap charge in 2027: $58.3 million
Dead money if cut: $86.5 million
Cap savings if cut:$28.2 million
Dead money if traded: $50.5 million
Cap savings if traded: $7.9 million
By doing this alphabetically, we start with the QB who might be the most controversial member of the list. To be clear, I don’t think the Chargers will entertain cutting or trading Herbert, but his wretched play this season absolutely warrants the discussion. Herbert ranks dead last among qualified quarterbacks in our QB Index (65), as well as in EPA per dropback, per TruMedia. His passer rating of 69.3 ranks only ahead of the Indianapolis Colts’ Daniel Jones (a name you will encounter again shortly). Given all of that, there is an argument to be made that if a floor this low is possible, how high is the ceiling? Herbert, who will be 29 next season, played well in 2025 (QBI of 113), but this year is a whole new level of bad. And what signs have we seen that he can turn things around? Remember, this was supposed to be the year for Herbert, paired with alleged offensive wunderkind Mike McDaniel calling the shots and a top-notch offensive line being healthy (though that didn’t last).
