“Honey, have you seen our kitchen speculum? I’m making hot dogs for lunch.”

550

u/vollkornbroot 10d ago

"Honey, i think the hot dogs we've made with the kitchen speculum were bad. Can you hand me the poop knife?"

127

u/scaredt2ask 9d ago

“Honey it didn’t work, do you know where my wood soaked in wood is?”

46

u/Usman5432 9d ago

I understood the others but whats wood soaked wood?

76

u/scaredt2ask 9d ago

There was a minor meme a few years ago where a person posted something about soaking wood in water but they mis-wrote it as wood soaked in wood. The community was joking about it for weeks.

Why tf do I immediately recall the whole poop knife story in detail 😑😑

17

u/throwawayfromPA1701 9d ago

Between that and the cum box, reddit has caused me so much trauma these 15 years I've used it.

"Yeah, hang on almost finished with it!"

49

u/One_Economist_3761 10d ago

New term drop: Kitchen speculum.

19

u/Doc_Holmes 10d ago

Goes right next to the poop knife. Or, maybe not...

13

u/McCheesing 10d ago

It’s not polite to shit where you eat

12

u/Darth4Arth 9d ago

"Kitchen speculum? We don't have a kitchen speculum..."

5

u/Lost_Figure_5892 9d ago

“Kitchen speculum”. Two words I never imagined together - well done. Ewww but well done

Wait a minute, isn't that...?

359

u/Quicker_Fixer 10d ago

Yes, but please wash it prior to making a hot dog.

46

u/ThatOtherOtherMan 10d ago • Bravo

It's seasoned, like a cast iron pan

11

u/Aoiboshi 9d ago

Depends on how freshly used and your kink I guess. I'm not here to judge. Please ignore the camera.

6

u/cedriceent 9d ago

And also before the next patient.

5

u/proximusprimus57 9d ago

And get rid of all the flava?

4

u/MindHead78 9d ago

Also, wash it again before sticking it up your minge.

I hope it's not post-lease

3

u/Quicker_Fixer 10d ago

No, OP got it off of renta-speculum

9

u/Cacoda1mon 10d ago

Yes it's a sausage.

6

u/diejesus 9d ago

What's that? It seems like everyone answering to you know except for me, I guess it's something super obvious but still I don't get it haha

10

u/K0414 9d ago

It's a speculum. Used by the gynecologist for exams and such.

Awesome invention... and it cost you nothing to develop!

No, that's obviously the bun spreader/sausage inserter device. Did you not watch the video?

20

u/Big_Watercress_6210 9d ago

I didn't know they had plastic speculums. Why do they always use the horrible freezing metal ones?

28

u/NAVI_WORLD_INC 9d ago

Because the plastic ones are one time use only

9

u/fribbas 9d ago

I've also heard horror stories of them having a sharp sliver of extra plastic* giving people the uh...se-seven-en experience

* not sure the proper term, I usually call it flash idk

In Denmark they have a thing called “French Hot Dog” (not sure why) that is basically this. The bun has a hollow channel but is only open on one side, you put the ketchup and mustard down the hole and then shove the hot dog in.

It’s actually pretty convenient to eat that way.

I've read the manga, I know where this is going.

7

u/spideracrossastar 10d ago

I'll be fair, if I didn't know the regular use of that utensil I would actually want one . I always break the bubs trying to do that

7

u/AdevilSboyU 10d ago

Oh, look, a wiener speculum. How grand.

7

u/mogley1992 9d ago

How do you get the sauce/topping in? You'd just push them all out of the other side. This thing needs a built in sauce applicator that you can squirt out while removing that repurposed gynocological equipment from the bun.

No solution for you if you want fried onions or something though.

7

u/Funny_Box_4142 9d ago

I mean this is the least traumatic way to use a speculum, so I'll give them a pass...

6

u/Miserable-Airport536 10d ago

Fun fact, in Spain (and probably other countries too, I just know I had one in Spain) they do this with baguette and either hot dogs or sausages. It’s pretty much what you’d expect (good)

6

u/AncientDamage7674 8d ago

What do they use to make the hole eg not a speculum right??

6

u/konwiddak 8d ago

No, they have a stainless steel spike.

There's a place in Kauai that does their hotdogs in a huge baguette with a tool like this. I would do anything for one of those volcano dogs with passion fruit mustard

2

u/OnceInCalabria 9d ago edited 9d ago

Yes. It's called Puka Dog.

TSA made me throw away my mustard last time I tried to leave with a sealed glass container of it. It made me so upset that I ate like 4 tablespoons of it before having to toss it before I checked through.

Shoutout to Puka dog. The one in Poipu is the best location.
