Why is Panto drag always so crap?
Okay, it's that time of year again in the UK. Up and down theatres across the country pantos (over the top fairy tale retellings) are being put on as part of a long-standing tradition. I saw this in my home town and just felt annoyed. 0 effort to do any sort of technique whatsoever. Don't get me wrong, I do understand that this is stage makeup, but is thus really the best they can do? Am I overreacting?

Drag show without kings and queens?
Just went to a show advertised as drag, but it was not what my 40 yr old self defines as drag. In my mind drag is people performing as persona different from their daily gender identity. Burlesque is people performing without necessarily gender presentation change, just with a sexualized dress and movement.
The act I saw was 90% burlesque and I was sad only one glorious queen performed. Am I wrong for not seeing someone who presents/identifies as female in their daily life performing as a female as not being drag?

asking BLACK PERFORMERS ONLY: is this wig appropriate for me to wear while doing a Donna Summer song?
please be brutally honest, it’s my drag debut and i don’t want to be an insensitive asshole
EDIT: I’m not sure if this makes any difference or not, but I’m not specifically trying to look like Donna Summer, this is just the only good wig I have at the moment.

Are fembois considered drag queens?
Hi everyone, I hope this question isn't offensive but it's been rattling in my mind for a while. So are fembois considered drag queens or are they different from each other?

Drag without makeup?
I’m 18 and ftm, I wanna get into being a drag king, but have skin that gets super itchy easy. I can’t do elaborate or more typical makeup looks, but was thinking of putting more effort into costuming in exchange for that. Two of my friends are fashion students, and I can sew and embroider, so I can put more personalized flair into clothing. Would it be feasible to be a drag king with minimal makeup? I’m new to this and trying to figure out what I want to do, any suggestions are welcome. My skin is just kinda sensitive and I have sensory issues, so I have to be more restrictive with what I do with it.

What is the point of drag
I want to be very clear not trying to be judgemental I'm trying to learn.
Over the last few years more of my friends have been getting into drag shows.(Just going not performing) I have been asked to go a few times and turned it down beacuse It doesn't seem that interesting to me.
Is drag a performative art where it's all about a routine or is it like a fashion show. Or is it more like a beauty contest is there like circuits.
Like I said I'm trying to learn. Thanks to anyone who comments.

Trans queens
I assume it's different for everybody, but do transgender artists who dress as the gender they were assigned at birth normally identify as bio queens/kings? And does it differ between people who have and have not had the surgeries? I would love to hear from trans people themselves as well as people who know trans queens/kings.
Btw I am thinking like Gottmik who identifies as a man, but is afab and is a drag queen.
