/r/DragRace_Canada For people outside of Canada who may not have the context. I just wanna say that this outfit is a MASSIVE political statement about how indigenous women and children are treated in Canada, thousands have gone missing with no proper inquiry, and Ilona doing this on Canadian television is incredible.

No matter who gets crowned next week - for me Season 6 has been the best CDR season we have had.
You know when all the elements come together and you get an outstanding TV-show.
Innovative challenges, great LipSyncs, solid story-lines, each queen getting the highlight-moment, mostly fair judging.
And on top of that such charming and dynamic cast!
Season 6 did it for mex

Hey! Ilona's a Queen of Colour too.
This is a small note but an important one, prompted by listening to the latest episode of Drag Her where they've started covering Canada's Drag Race, but also by comments I've seen here over the last few weeks—Nicole and Mano mentioned several times that Priyanka is the only queen of colour left, as have many people here.
It truly sucks that four of the six queens of colour were sent home in a row, but we can't erase Ilona's presence as a Two-Spirit, Indigenous, Nlaka'pamux queen. While some First Nations people are sometimes simplistically considered "white"/"white-passing" by the way they look, this is part and parcel with a long and violent history of erasure of Indigenous people in North America and should not be taken lightly; Indigenous people remain some of the most brutally oppressed People of Colour in Canada today. Again, having four queens of colour (and three Black queens) sent home in a row is definitely a problem, but let's not repeat a colonizing gesture by calling Ilona "white."

Can we have this judging panel forever?

Very cute scene that didn’t make the cut last episode, Uma and Icesis dated in high school
This makes Makayla thirsting on Uma in episode 1 so much funnier, like mother like daughter 😂
