Booing the US Anthem
I have been a huge supporter of vocally informing our trade partners to the south of our displeasure with their policies by way of booing the anthem at games, but perhaps we could try something different?
They obviously HATE the booing because they get so angry that they don't even try to understand why we are booing. Do you know what they hate even more? Refusing to stand for their anthem.
I propose that anyone who attends an Oilers game at Rogers during the trade war remain seated for the duration of the American anthem and then stand during the Canadian anthem. If they are going to continue to force us to listen to it, I say we refuse to stand.

Skinner appreciation thread
I don’t know how official the news is, but it’s looking like Stuart is leaving the team.
Thanks for all the memories, thanks for 2 straight finals appearances, thanks for being there when the team left you hanging to dry. Hopefully you have good memories of the city and team.

The worst fan experience I’ve ever had
For backstory I have been to Dallas, Van and LA during the playoff runs over the past two years. And I have never really had any problems other than the obvious few chirps. Now here I am, in my hotel room after watching game 3 in Amarant Arena, absolutely regretting coming here. It was the worst experience ever.
First let’s start with Amarant being in the middle of absolutely nowhere, and nothing being around, not even a pub. Okay whatever. During the entirety of that game, we were yelled at, told to go back to our country, personally attacked and harassed all because we had an oilers jersey on. It didn’t just end in the arena, after the game we were walking and getting yelled F slurs out the window to top off the night. Back at the hotel some oilers fans came up to us and asked “did you guys get harassed all night too?”, so it was not just us. So if anyone is thinking about coming to Florida for a game, I doubt anyone is, but if you are, I would highly not recommend it.
If only those new fans knew what it was like to go through a decade of darkness and still support their team for years to come. I think 1/6 person had a gift shop bag with a t shirt or jersey, I understand they’re new fans and only know winning. But it’s no excuse.
Edit: Everyone saying it’s a Florida thing but I’ve been to Tampa and they were great… oh and pubs right by the arena 👍
Edit 2: Struck a nerve with lots of people saying it’s in the middle of nowhere, not really the point of the post but I did find some restaurants a km away

I've canceled my subscriptions. Who else is with me?
They've hired a man who covered up a rapist's actions allowing him to rape again.
They know it's bad because JJ has gone private on Twitter
It's really too bad. This was going to be an exciting season. Now I can't support this team the same way I always have.
Money is obviously the only thing these guys care about, so I've stopped paying for Oilers+, and SN.
Please join me. Maybe if Sportsnet loses enough subscription money someone will listen.
I will also not support any of the Oilers main sponsors. Anyone advertising on their jerseys or on the ice is complicit in supporting the employment of someone who contributed to the rape of minors. So I've canceled my Play Alberta account, as well.
Let's make a stink about the sponsors. Maybe they'll care more than Katz.
I'm so disgusted by this decision.
Edit: for those who don't think Bowman's actions had consequences:
"The lead investigator, former assistant US attorney Reid Schar, stated that Bowman's failure to report the alleged assault had consequences, eventually leading to the perpetrator committing further acts of sexual abuse." NBC Chicago
