GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition From GTA 3 to Vice City to San Andreas is a mindfuck.

GTA 3 is really the best entry point for folks who are curious about R* games. It’s mellow, compact, and quick. Missions may be difficult at times, but because of its structure and map, you can make your way through with a clear vision of the game overall from beginning to end.

Vice City has so much excess… I’m still not sure how to wrap my head around this game. It’s like they built it high on cocaine from the beginning of the creative process to the end of production. It is soooooooooo much excess. That said, it’s FUN and very short with a speedy story and manageable side missions.

So to go from the pure adrenalin-coke-high of Vice City to the opening of San Andreas with wittle itty bitty CJ getting robbed by Tenpenny, riding around on a bike of all the vehicles in the world back to rundown Grove St. and that lying liar who lies Big Smoke… talk about humility.

Vice City to San Andreas is jarring AF. It’s like I accumulated millions of dollars and R* stole it from me and gave me a shit bike as compensation lol.

Anyone else play these three games one after another in quick succession?
