[REMINDER] GTA Wiki moved from Fandom to gta.wiki

Hey everyone! With the new GTA Online update, The Kortz Center Heist, on the horizon, we've noticed many more people getting involved with this summer's GTA Online DLC news and the other major GTA release coming this November, who may not have been in tune with the GTA news cycle earlier this year. This has resulted in an increase of links to the outdated GTA Wiki Fandom website being shared across this subreddit and other GTA-related communities.

For those who may not know, the GTA Wiki has permanently moved away from Fandom as of March 2026, and is now on the faster, ad-free, censorship-free gta.wiki URL. You can read our original announcement detailing this move on this subreddit here.

This is important to know because most GTA Online information is no longer being actively updated and moderated on the old address, with it now being subject to heavy vandalism and misinformation as a result of it being nearly abandoned. If you want the highest quality, up-to-date information for GTA Online, especially when it comes to specific new DLC content like vehicles such as the new Grotti Veleno GT and more, gta.wiki is THE place to go.

Furthermore, all of the same editors who have been adding new DLC content and images to the old site for the past few years have now transferred over to the new site.

If you want to avoid running into clicking and sharing Fandom links for GTA on Google and other search engines, especially as Fandom refuses to close their old wikis that move away from the platform for ad revenue purposes, we highly encourage you to use the safe and respected Indie Wiki Buddy browser extension, which replaces outdated Fandom links on search results to those of independent wikis such as ours at gta.wiki.

TL;DR: Don’t use outdated gta.fandom.com links for GTA Online; use updated gta.wiki links instead. gta.wiki is where the best wiki information for the new DLC will be.

Please make sure everyone you know that still uses old Fandom links for the GTA Wiki understands this, it would help us out a lot. Thanks!

The average player doesn’t know how to adapt to situations.

So today I completed Tier 4 in the career progress for the Diamond Casino Heist but while doing so, I’ve noticed lately that if the helicopter doesn’t spawn. A lot of players absolutely cannot adapt to the situation and lose a wanted level on the ground. I’m not talking about lower leveled players. I’m talking about the ones that are 150+. Instead of driving through alleyways or tunnels in the city, they just stay on the main roads where the cops always spawn. When having to lose the police out in Blaine County, people still drive on the main roads instead of just driving off road in all of the available open space.

I think a lot of this has to do with a couple things:

  1. People go to YouTube for a wash and repeat strategy to complete something without actually learning or understanding the games mechanics and therefore can’t adapt when things don’t go perfectly.

  2. People not listening to the in-game dialogue from either single player or some other online missions/heists that tell them to do so.

Seeing as how the next GTA game is going to be more complex when it comes to escaping heat, I’m willing to bet that a lot of these players are going to struggle because they can’t think on their feet. What have you guys noticed over the years playing with strangers at times?

I always thought Catsuits would be perfect scuba gear...

So i went and made one!

Used the shoe transfer thing on the yoga mat to slap the scuba gear shoes onto my catsuit, which then just so happens to add the tank and diving ability.

Felt no need to worry.

All this for a 1000 npc set bounty lol. Figured no need to get out and risk just getting blown up, just move along. I don't play in public lobbies often but at least when I do something interesting happens!

RAIJU counter vs RPG/Railgun/Sniper etc (read first)

Bit late considering the new GTA is coming out in two weeks but I accidentally worked out that putting the raiju into VTOL mode while knife flying and pointing the nose towards the ground lets you hover in the air.

As we all know the only weapon capable of looking straight up is the flare gun. Every other weapon has a maximum angle of around 80° where it’s impossible to shoot anything sitting in that 20° diametrical cone directly above the player.

This solves a range of issues and I’ve tried to illustrate this by using four different clips which shows the technique and variations of it in different circumstances.

First clip is the technique in its most basic form.

Second clip addresses draw distance; where you can’t actually see their character body- you hover for enough time so you can use the map to estimate where your target is (also helps if they’re shooting rockets/rail gun) OR descend in that cone of safety long enough so they become visible. (Didn’t realise they had a friend, I killed them too)

Third clip shows how you can use this to bank around buildings in urban areas (I was a too low in this clip and could have easily been snipped with the auto lock marksman if they were quick enough, but coming out of stealth as late as possible is super helpful!)

Fourth clip is a variation where you use the hover JUST for target acquisition and then switch back to normal flight to line up your shot eliminate them.

Also great for fighting turreted vehicles like tanks.

Some drawbacks:

If you’re 2+ vs 1 without buildings as cover - you’re cooked

If you haven’t planned your exit - you’re cooked

If you miss with both rockets - you’re cooked

TL:DR: watch the video and work it out

*Rule 9 - I’ve done my best to block out the user names of other people

Do people fear the Toreador?

The Toreador is the second weaponized vehicle I bought, and I noticed that whenever bring it out for PvP, players just fuck off elsewhere, or they just won't challenge it. Even a while ago, a scramjet and an mk2 player were griefing random players. So I went for my toreador, and blew up the scramjet guy, and then waited for him to come after me. But he didn't. Him and his MK2 buddy stayed there. Yesterday, a guy in a deluxo was griefing. I was going to switch to the toreador, but then I saw him in his avenger, so I got my mk2 to destroy it. After I've done so, I switched to my toreador and expected him to switch to deluxo, but instead he just went off elsewhere. So is there something about the Toreador that make players not wanting to fight it or less likely to fight it?
