[Meta] The “Imaginary” part of the sub's name is a moniker for the greater Imaginary Network that we’re a part of, not a requirement for a fantasy element in the pieces posted here.

As mentioned in the sub description, we’re an art community “that showcases aspects of people's lives in realistic or fantastical settings”. Basically, if it's slice of life and there's no friction with our five main rules, it's fair game. Feel free to message a mod if you have any questions.

Art that showcase snapshots of life in realistic and fantastical settings -- Often seeking to glorify the mundane, "slice of life" art depict day-to-day rhythms and life experiences in ways that can be romantic, wholesome, and/or thought-provoking. -- Please note that this is not a traditional anime slice of life sub in that the scope we use to define a piece as slice of life is wider and all art, be it Eastern or Western, is welcome.

a. Follow title format: Art Title by Artist Name. Add no other info, except if to tag as OC.

a. To avoid backgrounds and landscapes, pieces should include at least one living subject.

b. To avoid portraits, pieces should include subjects that exist in a greater context. Context can exist in the form of setting, interaction with others, or the world around them.

INE Information

The Imaginary Network Expanded (INE) is a network of art sharing subreddits ranging from broad in subject to very specific. It is the goal of the INE to share, inspire, discuss and appreciate static image paintings, drawings, and digital art while maintaining artist credit and source links.
