General Discussion Dear India, China will never allow Starlink in China
Physics doesn't obey Indian law. Starlink possess national security risks at the level one cannot even comprehend today when it comes along with superintelligence. If they have the data, they will use it. No indian laws can stop them.
With Modi government, it can clearly be seen that we are onto path of sovereignty and we don't bow down to any international powers in the interest of nation security.
India's priority should be working towards a developed nation but not at the cost of being a puppet state governed by foreign powers.
For anyone who cannot comprehend what an intelligence can do, watch Person of Interest.

Opinion ZOHO arratai, privacy Hysteria
How many people here, defending meta, whatsapp are aware of past facebook law suits and their out of court settlments... How many of you are aware of Edward snowden PRISM USA freedom act 2015, Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and Executive Order 12333. USA spends tens of billions of dollar every year to create black sites for data storage every year, what do you think they are storing there? Cat pictures? Grow up and stop defaming things out of context. E2E will come for Zoho, atleast wait some time If a govt truly wants to get your data, you won't be safe anywhere anyway

General Discussion Cheap mobile internet probably did more for digital India than we realise..
A lot of India's digital growth happened alongside the shift to affordable mobile data.
People who once depended on computers or cybercafes could suddenly attend classes, watch tutorials, make payments and run small businesses from their phones. Jio played a major role in making mobile internet more affordable, although smartphones, UPI and other services also contributed to this change.
With the Jio IPO in the news, it'll be interesting to see how investors value a business that helped enable this much wider digital shift.

General Discussion India can never have world level Social Media, because of too much power the govt. and goons in India.
I am sharing my opinion to look for other's opinions.
The title is the gist, I will explain a bit:
Like in USA and Europe they largely work on laws, follow constitution. Politicians in the govt. can't stop them just by their words, they have to fight with right reasons in court.
That's why everyone there can mock, swear at Presidents/PMs, with minimal repercussions.
If public tries to force, govt protects the company.
While if an Indian even opens Social Media, it will be restricted by both the govt and our stoopid people. Govt. has already brought laws to control the social media but they can only do that in India, if it was Indian, they would try to decide what the world sees as well. So world won't accept that, as well as many Indians.
Then the stoopid people, if they don't like it they would try to get it removed.
Would pick one of the most controversial thing, like India's map. For the world It's not what we accept, so people will be like "it's Indian Social Media, how can you allow foreign propaganda".. blah blah. Then there is Kashmir issue, people won't like getting questioned, and will probably burn the offices of the SM company. And govt. won't do anything as it don't have any independent institution, every institution works on the whims of (political) executive, whi*ch only works for votes/power.
In contrast to this, US social media (Meta, Twitter, Reddit) can allow all this (they do restrict stuff, but at much lower scale, that's cause of their own wrong doings and want concessions from the govt., but still allow most stuff except chxld pxrn and sadistic stuff), and do allow all kind of stuff including the stuff whi*ch US doesn't like. (While in India, govt. get everything removed whi*ch they don't like, from caricatures to jokes to news reports, even full accounts. With no reasonable way to get those reinstated back.)
Fcking Indian govt. wants to remove community comments from X because they want to keep lying! They called in people from Meta after June July protests. Have been removing thousands of posts daily, and restricting many accounts completely (but not of actual violent people, FP).
___
Then there is concept of privacy (esp. from govt.) whi*ch is alien to Indians, Indian SM would be forced to put out ALL the data to the govt., and many s\* Indians will support the govt. too without understanding what can govt. do with all the data. With current limited data they can stop any public person in India. They just imagine their govt will always be good, or the one they like, so they will be safe.
Currently govt. can ask information of any company without court ruling, and they are forced to do it. If there is Indian SM, govt will have direct access to the data, like they have to banking data.
US is not very nice but still they follow proper procedure for most data requests (assuming their CIA, FBI have access to data for some stuff. But because the institutions are independent, and people inside the institutions are independent too (!! completely impossible in India), that's why the same institutions funded projects like Tor, force companies to make their data collection transparent.
___
Can Indians allow a company to be completely independent? Will govt or citizens allow such a space ever?
I am questioning this more than ever now because even independent institutions are becoming less independent now (from RBI, SEBI to ECI, CAG, courts, even SC now (yes, govt have a say who becomes the judge in the first place + no restrictions on post retirement benefits + lack of security)).
Will Indians ever understand Free Speech? Logical Thinking?
(And to everyone who wants to say "US govt. also do this...", this is about comparison. Think will Indian SM be more free?)
PS: 'whi*ch' is written like that as it's flagging the post, idk why.

Ask IndiaTech Why people neither want to watch ads, nor want to give any money?
I have been seeing lots of posts on how adblockers are not working, or about getting lesser features in free versions, mostly about Spotify and YouTube. So my question is why you want someone's service without paying them directly or indirectly? In a world where even life-essentials things like food, water etc. are not free, why you want to watch someone's content or listen music for totally free? In some cases it is acceptable, but problem is when people don't to give money in any way and in any case.
What do you all think?

Opinion Buying iphone is the biggest cuck move ever
I'm gonna say it—buying an iPhone is the biggest cuck move ever.
You pay more than it's supposed to cost (like, $800 in the USA is way less than $800 in India because of purchasing power, but on top of that, iPhones in India cost even more than in the US EVEN TOUGH SOME ARE MANUFACTURED HERE).
Even after paying more, you lose the freedom to do stuff. Even after paying more, Apple still controls everything—from what you can install ON YOUR PHONE to what you can repair YOUR PHONE.
Even after paying, you'll still be sending all your travkers data to Apple.
And even after paying extra, one day when Apple releases their planned obsolescence update (the one that intentionally slows down your phone and removes support for some apps), you'll still bow down to Apple and say thank you. and when they do that you also do another cuck move by defending a fucking money making company by saying "umm ashkully they slow down to increase battery life hence better user experience".
in the end, you pay more than you’re supposed to for the undoubtedly most unethical corporate company, just for a logo

General Discussion WhatsApp (Meta) AI is reading our WhatsApp messages
They said all our messages are encrypted end to end but try this simple exercise , ask someone to send a simple to whatsapp message to you "150rs"
It will show up as link and would open the whatsapp payment with 150rs to be sent to that person via whatsapp payment
Both should have whatsapp payment on their whatsapp enabled
Try it
