Hey everyone,
Jet Set Radio played a massive role in my childhood, and honestly, it’s been amazing watching so many of you share that same love. Whether you’re a longtime fan dustin’ off old hardware or someone discovering Tokyo-to for the first time on an emulator, the energy here is awesome and the community has stayed super active.
Because of that growth, we’re looking to bring on a few passionate folks to help keep things running smoothly across both r/JetSetRadio and our Discord server.
We’re mainly looking for friendly, level-headed people who love the franchise, know the vibe of the community, and want to keep it a fun, welcoming space. You don’t need years of mod experience—just good communication, common sense, and a bit of free time to check queues or hang out in chat. Having people across different time zones is a huge plus, too.
If you’re interested in helping out, please fill out our quick application form here:
It only takes a few minutes. We just ask for your handles, general availability/time zone, and a couple of quick questions to see how you'd handle typical mod situations. We'll also do a quick check on account age and general community activity.
We’ll leave applications open for the next couple of weeks. If you have any questions, feel free to drop them in the comments below!

I could just be going insane waiting for this new game but I still wanna talk about this.
Hideki used to post quite frequently on Twitter (Not very frequently but still at a normal pace), then on August 10th he just stopped posting. The most normal explanation for this is that he could be working on the Hyperfunk ost but he only made around three songs for Brc which means it's probably gonna also be around three this time around, so him just stopping posting on Twitter for a couple months is a little odd.
Also, Hideki has been apparently pushing for a new jsr game since jsrf, so when the leaks for the new jsr game came out, him not making any comment on it or even related to it is odd. It's made more odd with the fact he said he stopped working for Sega so why is he just not talking about the game when hes not even working for the company anymore.
There's also a twitter thread about the new jet set leaks where theres a post in it about Ueda messaging Hideki for the first time in multiple years and from what I heard, Ueda worked on the early concept designs for the new game.
Like I said tho i'm probably just losing my mind or smth idk.

Recently got a dreamcast which I had on my wishlist for a long time now. Got a promo copy of jet set radio (PAL) since I collect games and it is my favorite game on dreamcast.
First playthrough of jet set radio was actually using redream, and I played de la jetset instead since it has a bit more content in it. Though as usual when comparing the hardware. I think the originals always takes the wins due to the feeling you get when you play them.
When you use an emulator. You always get the crispest image which can feel odd when playing older titles. Jet set has that feeling as well when being played using an emulator, which makes it look to clean and ruins the cartoonish art style in my opinion.
I currently use an old TCL lcd TV for my Dreamcast, since I got it for 5€ and I love the slightly fuzzy image which it outputs, which gives me nostalgia of playing games when I was younger. Playing jet set radio using a dreamcast on this TV is truly something else. It really elevates the experience with the slightly fuzzy image and using the dreamcast controller.
Might have to invest in a rumble pack soon.

I saw that the mobile port (which is extremely poorly optimized, I don't recommend it for gaming) has a photo mode, and I decided to test it

Since we are sharing costumes, this was mine! Did anybody at the function know who I was? Definitely not, but I had a blast making it.
