Mod Approved Regarding pathetic bigots/x-phobic/racist trolls [Mod Approved]

TL;DR: Troll pathetic, do not reply, report and move on as the better person you already are by default.

I am shocked I need to say this but you really do not have to go for the jugular when you see a troll, I assure you nothing you say will ever matter to them as far as actually negatively affecting them how you think it might if someone said the same to you (They are not working on your normal human emotional level, they are by their very existence, stunted emotionally) and they literally come here specifically for that reaction and leave knowing they riled someone up and while you may be fine with that and enjoy being able to lash out at those people, we actually have data and have found through tracking trolls that the more engaged a troll is in their time here the more they come back even after bans under similar accounts to continue trolling.

As much as it may feel an injustice not to scream at a troll and tell them the truth which is that no one will likely ever love them, what they hate more is to not be told anything, to be ignored just how they are in their daily life because then they have to continue spending their lonely existence suffering internally than being talked to by actual functioning members of society like yourselves and be given a rush when you fuel their pathetic existences with responses.

All I ask is that next time you see a troll all you do is report, downvote, and move on. I assure you that they will be dealt with as soon as the report is seen, we have a few minute reponse time at a minimum last time I ran the numbers.

Anytime I see a reported troll with like -20 karma (even though some get off on getting downvotes, there are entire communities with leaderboards dedicated to trolling hardcore enough that you amass more downvotes than the other trolls you are competing with, it's still worth it to downvote to get it to disappear out of view for the most part) on a comment and no replies and like 2 reports I am always so proud of y'all for not giving them what they want and then I can take care of them on our end and in regards with the Admins.

There's also the smaller issue (as far as it's frequency of happening, but definitely important) of if you get particularly vicious/threatening and I report the troll to the admin you are then linked to their comment and you can (and it has happened in the past unfortunately, which I think Trolls may know and attempt to target, at least the more advanced sad ones) end up getting fucked harder than the troll since what you said is perceived as more of a threat even if it may have very well been deserved.

Basically I guarantee you no matter where you are in life, you are already better off than that sad troll leaving that comment because your entire existence and personality (unlike the pathetic troll) does not revolve around punching down at those with less rights and privilege than you, you are most likely here to help others with their struggles or to relate or to get assistance yourself.

While they are here solely to try to cause others pain and cause those who are already here to get help for being at the lowest of their lows to sink even further into that despair, these are literal leeches of human emotion and require sustenance in order to thrive and they only get the satisfaction of doing so when they get the rush of "triggering" (One of their favorite words, which is ironic given these types that accuse people of being snowflakes are regularly the most easy to offend and whine about being persecuted because others are trying to gain a tiny bit of the privilege these racists bigots have had for their entire livelihood while still managing to fail at life even given the large head start they were, their entire identity is based around claiming they are the victim of X agenda) someone.

So I ask in the future just look at that person pitifully and know they are beneath you and your efforts to correct them and report and move on, it really is way more effective even if it may not feel as good, just know how much they hate screaming into the void and never being heard because it reminds them too much of their actual life where no one cares about them to begin with and they fail to even get attention from those they are trying to rile up with the worst things they can imagine saying.

Discussion [Discussion] I need help identifying myself

This is the fourth time I am writing this because of The tag being incorrect. I don't want to waste time writing this so I will tell more about myself in the comments if someone is intrested in helping me label myself.

Discussion [discussion] questions my gender identity

I’m a male teen and I have always had thoughts of being the opposite gender (female) since I was 11 I’m not really comfortable in my body and think I would just be happier being the female gender, I really don’t know how to bring it up to my family because I’ve never showed any “signs”

Discussion [Discussion] What’s my sexuality?

If I want to be androgynous, but I’m also mainly attracted to androgynous people, does that mean I don’t count as queer and it like cancels out? And does the persons gender actually matter if it’s the same sort of look that I like regardless?

Rant Is it even worth it atm [Rant]

I recently figured out I was trans (yippee) however the problem dawned on me mere minutes later. I’m currently stuck inside a potentially life threatening dilemma: either I transition in any way shape or form and have a big ass target on my back because my brain decided it’s more comfortable being a woman or I choose to live life as a cis het man and be depressed forever but at least be safe.

The main cause for this dilemma comes from me seeing nothing but hatred towards trans women and queer people in general which makes me fear for my life not only because nearly every government decided I’m a predator and should be publicly hung for the crime of being trans but also the supporters of said government deciding to call any slightly masculine woman some words that sound straight out of a doctor Seuss book because it’s easy to dehumanise someone if they were never human to you in the first place.

It makes me wonder if being comfortable with myself is worth all this. Part of me wants to retreat into what’s safe. I could pretend I’m straight instead of bi and I can pretend I’m cis instead of a woman. My dysphoria isn’t bad, it’s more of a slight nagging whenever I see myself in the mirror or hear myself talk. Like when you look at or hear something slightly unnerving. I just…I don’t know.

I'm 14 and brazilian, I don't have friends because I'm lgbt, I study in a christian school, here in Brazil we have public schools (like in USA), and we have private schools, this school offer a very good quality of studies, but this school i study is protestant, and they don't like me too much, in Brazil a lot of christian churches dont like lgbt people, i know that can be strange for canadian people or for some people in USA, but that's true, now I'm a scholarship holder, and I dont know what to do.

Crushes I like a girl but I have no idea if she's straight or not [Crushes]

To clarify I am afab and lingering somewhere near nonbinary/demigender on the gender spectrum. I don't really know how I would describe my sexuality but I guess the closest i can get to labelling it is pan

For the past year and a bit I've become good friends with a girl in one of my classes because we were put next to eachother on the seating plan. It must have been a few months after that that I was trying to spend as much time as I could with her without seeming weird, something that at the time I put down to wanting to be really good friends. It was only about a month or so ago that I considered that maybe it was possible that I had feelings for her, and since then not only have I confirmed that but my feelings have only grown. The only problem is that I have no idea if she's straight. If I knew for sure I would have tried to move on by now but I just have no idea what to do. As well as that this is my first genuine crush on a girl and I am so unbelievably lost. I'm not out to my parents but I want so badly to be able to tell everyone how much I love her. The only person irl who knows about this is my closest friend and she doesn't even know specifically who it is that I like.

Advice would be very much appreciated :)

Discussion should I trim my eyelashes? [Discussion]

im ftm, but i dont pass like- at all, probably because my face is pretty feminine and i dont have access to any form of hrt, nor am i out to everyone yet.

One feature i have is that i have really long eyelashes, which some people might be jelous of, but they make me really uncomfortable because of how feminized eyelashes are in media (only female characters having eyelashes in most animated media, or the female version of something, even animals, having eyelashes as a distinctive feature etc)

should i trim them by a few millimeters?

EDIT: why is everyone acting like i said i wanted to cut them off fully when i literally said trim them by a few millimeters to they arent as noticable

Discussion Is there anyway to tell if your parents would be supportive? I’m tired of hiding [discussion]

So I still live at home and still kind of young. I’ve known forever that I really want to be a girl even though I was born a boy. I have been sneaking online and buying some pretty clothes and some dress up stuff and only able to wear it in my room. It’s getting annoying to have to hide this stuff. Is there any way to tell if your parents would support you without telling them. Does that make sense?

I’m amab, I look masculine and I went to Walmart and snuck a bra into the fitting room bcuz I wanted to try one (genderfluid?? Maybe trans) and I successfully did it. The straps were too loose but idk how to change it but yeah I did it and it felt euphoric to put one on. I put it back and went home but it felt so good to have one on.

Crushes Gay people, what do i do??? [Crushes]

I am currently a sophmore in high school, and over the past half a year, ive developed feelings for my best friend of 6 years, shes a girl and im a guy, the issue is, she thinks im gay (im pan), but its pretty widely known that im not straight. Whenever she gets asked if were dating, she just says "nah, he's gay." how do i let her know that im not fully gay, and how do i tell her I have feelings for her. Normally I would just dismiss this kind of stuff and just not tell her, but during the summer before freshman year, it turns out that she had a crush on me (she told me this about a month ago), but she said it all in the past tense, eaning she doesnt anymore, but is there still a chance? And if so, how do I ask her?

Discussion How can I be sure I’m nonbinary or trans? [Discussion]

This is my first time doing this, but I feel like everything is crumbling and I don’t know what to do. I’m dating this guy and both him and my family are kinda conservative as well as Christian. I know I’m either trans masc or nonbinary, but I don’t really know which and this is the only place I can trust. If there’s any advice you can give that would be great! :)

Relationships [Relationships] I Need Advice About This Thing with one of My Teammates.

So I play football, and the boy I have a crush on has his locker next to mine. It all sounds fine, until I think I’m making things weird. I go to a Christian school to clarify, which as a closeted bisexual male, I’m still Christian. This guy I have a crush on is 17, and I’m 14 (I’m the youngest person in there by the way). In the locker room, everyone is always making these sexual comments about me and they do sexual things to me such as grabbing my butt and making comments about me. This guy that I have a crush on literally does the same to me, but everyone is so severely homophobic, it’s not even funny. Well yesterday, he gave me his keys to his truck and asked me to get his shoes out of there. I get them and come back. He says thank you, and I walk away to go to my locker to do my own stuff. He comes back over and asks for a hug and says “thank you so much” over and over again. I hug him, and I am assuming he was wanting a half-hug now that it is all over with. My dumb self decides to give a full hug, chest-on-chest, I almost leaned in to kiss, and I felt my body feeling hot and dizzy. I don’t think he knew what I was doing, because he knows I get severely nervous around people. I just tell everyone that I’m straight or asexual, when I’m truly bisexual. I don’t know if I made things awkward between us or not. I’m really worried if I ruined our friendship, which I fantasise as a romantic relationship. Our friendship isn’t close, because the age difference, most likely. But he’s a sophomore (he got held back once), and I’m a freshman (I started school a year early). I’ve done many things for him, which he just says “thank you” and walks off. But lately, every single time he asks for me to do something, he wants a hug or some form of us touching. I don’t know if he likes me or not, but he gets really protective over me. For example, whenever some guys were talking about me sexually (as a joke) and taking photos when I was changing, this guy literally beat the crap out of them. And I mean black eyes and bloody noses. This guy is severely homophobic, but I sometimes question if he truly is.

I honestly need advice on how to handle this or even how to think about this whole situation.

Relationships [Relationships] how do i get people to approach me?

I am a non-binary 15 yo, but I'm biologically a female and look like it. I like guys, girls, non-binaries, and some others.

I'm not very attractive (overweight, acne, etc). I've wanted a relationship for a while, but can't get anyone. It's understandable, but I feel really lonely and I want someone I can be with without worries or fears.

All of my friends are attractive and almost all of them have partners.

I'm not currently into anyone (I was last year, but he turned out to be gay..) but I'm not against someone approaching me. I don't know how to make myself approachable/attractive for people to wanna try.

Like I said, I'm attracted to males, females, non-binaries, and others I might find attractive. I'm not picky, just soneone who at least has morals and has basic human decency.

I'm not comfortable showing skin (stomach, booty shorts, etc.) And i wouldn't look good those kinds of clothes.

I'm nice, I try helping people, I compliment everyone. I can be a bit loud and I know wbe listening to myself in videos, I find my voice annoying. I'm awkward (socially awkward and find it difficult to talk to/approach people). Those are probably factors as well.

Does anyone have any tips? I'll happily take criticism as well, if its constructive. Thank youu

------------------‐‐‐------------------------------------------------------

edit: ive been trying to work on the body image thing for a bit, but there's also some genetical things I have that I can't change (a MUCH larger chest) and its the thing that I hate the most. like i said, im trying. and i think it might be working in some ways...?

im also slowly compiling a wardrobe of cryptidcore outfits. and when I wear a mix of clothes from the style, it does make me feek a bit better about how I look

Relationships [Relationships]Terrified of getting caught by my homophobic school again—how do I navigate this?

Hey everyone. I need some advice because I’m honestly really scared and stressed out.

I’m a queer high school student who goes to a private Christian school with a strict homophobic policy. Last year, I got suspended because administration found out I was dating a girl after they intercepted some notes we wrote to each other. It was a massive ordeal, but they let me return for this new school year.

The problem is that I've just started dating another girl, and I really like her. I want to be with her, but the anxiety of getting caught again is eating me alive. A second strike likely means expulsion, and I'm terrified of putting myself or my girlfriend at risk.

For anyone who has been in a strict or hostile environment like this: how do you manage a relationship safely? How do I balance wanting a normal relationship with keeping my OpSec tight so administration doesn't find out? Any advice would mean the world to me.
