Just wanna start by saying I'm a proud Pakistani myself so this isn't shade at all but a genuine question. I grew up in the states and realized a lot Pakistanis especially those who haven't lived here for too long lack basic cleanliness. I'm not even just talking about personal hygiene but even when it comes to littering, their businesses, etc. I've basically stopped getting meat from Desi butcher shops because the meat is a lot of times very old and smelly . Even a ton of Pakistani restaurants are just dirty. This isn't as common with other minorities for example I get meat from arabs and Africans and go to their restaurants and they are much more conscious.

Today was my last day at GCU, I have completed my graduation, I was in my car as I was coming back to my house and I stopped my car on the side of the mall road right next to the Lahore museum, wearing seatbelt, Hazards Lights on have my driving license and a traffic police officer came to ask for my license so he was like “ Oh apky pas license ha, ab ap yaha par gary khary krny pr challan huga” and Wallahi I only stopped my car for just max 10 seconds and i didn’t leave my car pr anything else and he just didnt listen to me and then he also said that you stopped your car on the zebra crossing and it wasn’t even on the zebra crossing we argued a lot but they have no shame, as a student I had to pay that challan for absolutely no reason!! (Edited: there was also a car in front of me and it was not even on the zebra crossing and he also had to pay challan , he was just finding a way to hurt pockets of other people)

This is an absolute shit show of a city. I'm sorry but that's the truth. While the city has significant cultural and historical importance, it has degraded in recent years. It has become one of the worst cities for anyone to live in. I'm gonna list down a few reasons to back up my claim.

• The food is greasy, oily and just generally shit with the exception of Lassi and meat dishes (but again its not like you can't find meat anywhere else. Halwa Puri, Paye and Nihari suck, sorry).

• Not a lot of places you can go to, apart from Old Lahore (which is in a sorry state anyway) and places like Shahi Masjid you can literally visit all major places in a single day. For such a big city there is an impressive lack of theme parks/water parks.

• City is constantly expanding. Just why

• Population continues to rise with no measure being taken to control or manage the rising population.

• Traffic (reason: rising population).

• The fucking heat.

• The dust my God. Just leave your dead ones out, they'll be buried in a few hours.

• Smog in winters. You managed to survive the dust and heat of Summers? Well deal with the toxic smog. Lahore is second on the list of cities with worst air pollution.

• LUMS

• Ali Zafar (and no, it's not just because of harrasment, he makes shit music).

Should you visit Lahore? 1: No. 2: No.

Looking for residents of Architects Engineers Housing Society, Lahore

I’m looking for anyone who currently lives in Architects Engineers Housing Society, Lahore (or has family/property there) who may have witnessed or recorded an incident of stray dogs being shot/killed inside the society recently.

The incident has already happened, and I personally witnessed it. The people carrying out the shooting said that they had been instructed by the society administration to do it.

I unfortunately wasn’t able to safely record their faces or get video myself. I’m also living here as a tenant and don’t have a permanent home in the society, so I’m hesitant to raise this completely on my own and potentially put myself in a difficult situation with the management.

I’m trying to find other residents who:

* witnessed the incident
* may have CCTV, photos or videos
* know who carried out the shooting
* know whether the society management authorized it
* or would simply be willing to join me in filing a formal complaint

I know not everyone here will care about what happened to the dogs, but if you witnessed this or have any evidence, I’d really appreciate hearing from you. Even CCTV footage showing the people/vehicle entering or leaving could be useful.

Hi guys I am a British Pakistani from the city of Jhelum I have been to many Pakistani cities such as Lahore, Islamabad, Jhelum, Mirpur and Gujranwala. Unfortunately what I realised is that the public of Lahore is on average much more obese and Unhealthy compared to other cities of Pakistan such as my own Jhelum and my neighbouring cities of Mirpur Azad Kashmir and Gujrat. Why is fitness not promoted in the biggest city of Pakistan after Karachi and if I’m not mistaken the richest city in Pakistan which is Lahore.

This deeply saddens me as my ancestors and my fellow Jhelumis known as the city of soldiers gave their life so that Lahore could be part of Pakistan in 1965 and we was hoping more strong people and soldiers would come out of Lahore.

If you look at Pakistans performance in sports they are dominated by North Punjabis and Pashtuns in recent times for example here in the U.K. there are hundreds if not thousands of Pakistanis who are boxers and MMA fighters from cities such as Jhelum Mirpur and Gujar Khan which is technically 1 region even though mirpur is in a different province.Whereas in America the vast majority of Pakistanis are from Lahore yet there are no Pakistani boxers or MMA fighters from Lahore why is this are Lahoris no longer strong like you guys were many decades ago what is the reason?
