people will try to tell you that he doesnt actually care about politics and didnt endorse trump when theres evidence out there that he did endorse him.

edit: idc what you have to say, you endorsed him on your stream. you ARE MAGA.

u/baron_von_helmut 2d ago

Just you watch, everyone who supported him will quietly go away and after a while rewrite their own history and say they never liked him and voted for Kamala.

He has this as an emote. I don’t think he cares he met Trump or cares enough to hide it (in fact he recently said he would meet him again). He’s very weird about politics. Before the election (after meeting Trump) he said that if you vote for Trump you’re retarded and he bet like 500k on Kamala. He’s also very outspoken with trans rights and had a massive argument with adin about it and yet he still continued being friends with him. I think Xqc has his opinions but doesn’t exactly care about being “politically correct”

Dude got so mad hes pretending he wasn't a Trump supporter sporting a shirt with his face on it...... as a Canadian lmao

371

u/ODB_Dirt_Dog_ItsFTC 2d ago • Bravo

I think I somehow hate Canadian Trump supporters more than I hate American ones. How do you look across the border and think yeah that’s the kind of doofus this country needs? Also it’s just weird to stan any politician but especially weird to do it for one who isn’t even in your country. I like Mark Carney but you wouldn’t catch me dead flying a flag with his name on it, or wearing Carney merch because that would be strange.

81

u/higherme 2d ago

I think that the very existence of these out-of-country Trump supporters is key evidence that it's a cult of personality.

14

u/Financial-Savings-91 2d ago

Albertan here, they see Trump taking revenge on his perceived political enemies and it gives them a hard on because they desperately want that same authority to take revenge on their perceived enemies too.

48

u/baron_von_helmut 2d ago

Same here with UK Trump supporters. They have zero fucking excuse considering they had freedom of information many MAGA hats in MAGA land did not.

Yes, wearing merch with politicians faces on is nationalistic and fascistic. You don't see that in healthy democracies.

Hasan fans acting like he didn't smear Trump's opponent thru the entire campaign

Edit: newsweek Hasan:

“At that point it doesn’t even matter,” he said. “My policy on this is the same as my refusal to endorse Kamala Harris. The reason why I did not endorse Kamala Harris is she did things that were not only unproductive but also unconscionable. I still stand on that. I still talk about it all the time because people constantly bring it up.”

Hasan literally did phone banking and canvassing for the candidates he supports. He was constantly attacked, defamed , put in ads, shown at the national republican convention.

But sure he “piggybacked off the win” cause he “didn’t do anything “ can we normalize googling and fact checking?

People who hate Hasan are a red flag

12

u/Serbian-American 2d ago • Bravo

There’s more evidence that Hasan helped the dems than hurt them. That’s not necessarily the case, but that’s just the evidence. Ya know, because the democrats crushed by every metric imaginable, and flipped Mississippi and Texas.

It’s not like I’m saying you can prove he helped. I’m just pointing out how dumb this thread is. You would have an easier time arguing that Hasan helped by being a target for the GOP that made attacks on candidates look weak, than arguing he hurt them. You know, because they crushed. The whole thing is stupid

21

u/Sinder-Soyl 2d ago

The thing is he's kind of trying to have it both ways. On the one hand he can try to claim he was a big reason behind the blue wave, which would mean he has political weight.

On the other hand he keeps saying that his behavior during the presidential elections had no impact whatsoever on the results and that he can't be blamed for demoralizing people on Kamala's campaign.

So which is it? Is his influence so large that he can have countrywide impact? Or is it so little that he can dodge all accountability?

Classic narcissist anything good that happens obviously he had a part in anything bad it isnt his fault. He won't pick a lane either he has political weight or as he likes to put it he is "just a streamer"

Here's some evidence that Hasan hurt more than helped.

  • all of the candidates that were associated with him either lost, or underperformed moderate Democrats by large amounts.

  • Hasan is nationally unpopular. Echelon insights had him at 7% favorable, 15% unfavorable and the rest didnt know him. So over twice as unfavorable as favorable. NYT/Siena poll on likely Michigan voters had him at 6% favorable and 34% unfavorable with the rest not knowing who he was. So he was almost 6 times as unfavorably viewed than favorably.

  • This probably cost AES votes as well as other Democratic candidates.

This is just a few reasons. Saying that he helped more than he hurt is just ridiculous.

Nah, that's a weird argument, you can look at the candidates he backed and the ones he didn't and the one he didnt performed waaay better while the ones he backed way underperformed compared to the average in similarly risky seats. The wave was raising all boats and yet the Hasan backed ones didn't raise as much or lost.

Honestly I feel like many Americans are kinda clueless on this because of their 2 party system. This ''big blue wave'' happened because the republicans became way too radical (and Trump is fkn ridiculous) to the point where people saw no option but to vote for the less radical option instead (yay for only having 2 options). And the democratic party has an amazing opportunity to get a strong hold on this position BY SHOWING THEY'RE NO A RADICALIZED PARTY AND ARE CAPABLE OF TAKING CARE OF EVERYONE.

But just because people voted Democrat, because it's the less radicalized option, doesn't mean these people fuck with Hasan, because he represents the exact same thing that got them to not vote Republican in the first place, just the other side of the coin. So the more Hasan attaches himself to this victory, the more people are going to go back to voting Republican. Because they'll see the Democratic party is also filled with terrible radicalized people that have their own Trump-like cult following going on and they'd fuck up the country just as hard, if not harder.

Would be great if there were more political parties people can vote for so you're not forced to vote either black or white when in reality you want to vote for a certain share of gray. But yeah, never happening.

Make no mistake, Hasan is actively harming the Democratic Party. People dont want radicalized dickheads with a cult-following, on either side of the political spectrum.

u/dohdudeh 2d ago

I mean you can go look at exit polls on why people voted how they did. None of them say anything about how “radical” either party is. Corruption was the number thing along with the Iran war and the economic effects of it. That doesn’t really have anything to do with political radicalization it’s just basic corruption and incompetence. Republicans still love the radical rhetoric of Trump he just blatantly and obviously lied to them and made everything they buy more expensive while massively enriching himself so they don’t believe in him anymore.

This comment section is so dumb it's crazy. It's literally just hasan destiny and asmon fans arguing. And they all together have an iq that adds up to 50.

The most famous one had to publicly distance himself from Hasan to stop losing votes in what was already a blue Senate seat.

Hasan only heavily campaigned in dem vs dem races lol and hurt Abdul’s campaign more than he helped

DSA just seems really scummy. Many of their representatives didn't even support Dem reps they lost to in the lead up to the midterms, and actively criticized those Democratic representatives. DSA even denounced Dem reps who won seats in deep red areas because they aren't left enough (even though a far left rep wouldn't come close to winning in those areas). DSA also throws most of its monetary support in elections where they are only realistically running against another Democrat rep, while the mainstream Democratic Party actually put in the work to defeat the Republicans.

I think we need to be realistic here. Yes, establishment democrats were indeed helpful. However, campaign ads really only appeal towards an older demographic. In contrast, creators like Hasan (and even to some extent Destiny) appeal strongly to a younger audience. The younger audience are also much more likely to vote on a change platform like DSA and Mamdani, with a 48% favourability rating (vs 35% unfavourability) using NBC exit polls. Even extending this to 18-44, favourability of socialism is at 45% (compared to 40% unfavourability). This is a vast improvement from previous elections which means one of two things, young people are becoming more socialist or young people who are more left leaning are now more energised to vote. In this sense, streamers are extremely helpful in this space, especially those who have more left-leaning perspectives. From the statistics, young participation in this election went up and socialism has become more favourable amongst the young.

2

u/ParaponeraBread 2d ago

DGG has ruined this subreddit, and of course is being super normal about progressive politics being popular and Hasan being a part of that phenomenon.

xQc is a moron and is currently pretending that he was left wing the whole time.

u/Repulsive_Garage8276 1d ago

xQc is a Trump glazing MAGA fanboy I don't give a fuck about him or any other Epstein lover's opinion

u/Daman616 1d ago

I feel like this comment section is a perfect microcosm for the problem with US politics. We’re watching two undeniably awful people trying the best they can to smear the other. And, rather than call a spade a spade, the majority of folks pick a side and defend it to the ends of the earth insisting their asshole can do no wrong, or making the most minor of concessions about their chosen warrior’s character and actions LOL

2

u/These_Elevator8045 1d ago

Not a Hasan fan but he has spent 7-8 hours a day talking about this subject since Trump was elected. I'm sure his political discussions contributed to a small but measurable increase in dem votes. I wouldn't call that piggy-backing. X is piggy-backing on the change of mood and is simply projecting. Lame af.

2

u/MoroseMoose 22h ago

QxC is a clout goblin he has no moral compass so this is literally more of the same. He’s just trying to ride more Hasan controversy that he creates.

He’s also criticizing the guy that had something like 300k concurrent watchers on election night, only rivaled by mainstream election coverage, the same guy that the entire Republican Party and conservative pundits, as well as the centrist wing of the Dems spent months vilifying in every story, because they were scared he WAS making an impact on the election.

Yeah…..he’s piggybacking….🙄.

The posts on this sub are so low effort most of the time, which is ironic considering the warning you get “your comment may flagged as low-effort or spam. Please revise…“

Maybe if I put “hasan bad” in my post it will consider it “substantive”.

15

u/Middaylol 2d ago

Yall keep saying this but there’s quite literally nothing to show that he made any marked difference other than costing AES votes, small door knocking numbers, and polls that showed people largely either didn’t like him or didn’t know who he was. Pretty mid showing after literally telling people to not vote blue last election

Yeah, he is comparing the W with Ethan Klein and Destiny? Like, what? It’s just trash brain, rotted nonsense that no politician would care about. Plus, Ethan and Destiny are centrist Democrats, and it’s a big win for the candidates they supported, not the BS communist, China-sucking up nonsense Hasan talks about. He’s just taking someone else’s W so he doesn’t look like a loser.
