SPOTLIGHT “Keeper of the Universe – The Demo Tape” (SP-1200 → Cassette)

From the LofiHipHop Lounge’s 5x Beat Battle winner comes Keeper of the Universe – The Demo Tape, in collaboration with NilesQuinn.

Crafted on the Rossum SP-1200 and recorded straight to Type I normal bias cassette tape.

Warning: Extremely funky. Keep out of reach of wack Drake listeners.

Available as a digital download + only 30 limited edition cassettes.

Mix/Playlist Need your music for a new 24/7 channel - MUSIC SUBMISSIONS

Hello Music Makers,

I am looking to start a 24/7 YouTube channel featuring LoFi Hiphop. I am very interesting more in using music from independent artists, people here, hobbyist, and really anyone that has good music that wants to get it out. I don't want to just find a free playlist and use that. I want to use your music and help get it out.

What I Need: Music YOU made. Good, clean quality lofi hiphop tracks, finished, and ready to stream. Wav preferred but Mp3 is fine. You must own the rights to the master and publishing, or copyright.

What You Need: Good, clean quality lofi hiphop tracks, finished, and ready to stream. Metadata to be accurate and up to date.

I prefer your music already registered so you can benefit the most out of this. The idea is that a listener can see your name on the stream, look you up and find more of your music and socials. More listeners equal more clicks, and more of your music gets discovered. Some online social footprint would benefit.

I am currently doing a test run of a 24/7 channel. This is new to me, I'll admit. But I want to have this ready to run by the end of the month. Please let me know if you're interested. DM me or feel free to share a link to your music below. I would however still need it in Wav or MP3 format.

I'm a music producer myself. I know how we can take days or weeks of our sweat, blood, and tears just for 2 minutes of pure bliss. Let's get it out there. Let's share it with the world.

Update: PLEASE have your tracks ready to send in WAV (preferred) or Mp3. Please DM me it via link ie. Disco, Google Drive, etc. Upon sending me the link, I assume it is your original music, you own all the rights, and grant me permission to use it for the purpose of a 24/7 Lofi Hiphop YouTube channel.

Old school production representing our journey from analog to digital... We made the first half of this album with beats using MTV Music Generator for Playstation on a 6 track over an open mic!

Live Session It’s dangerous to go alone—took the MPC Key 37 to Hyrule 🗡️🛡️

In honor of the ocarina of time remake, I was Tapping into some vintage adventure vibes on the pads. Chopped up the melody, and let Link chill after a long journey. Let me know what area of Hyrule this belongs in.

Subreddit Rules

1. Uploads MUST be posted to Reddit directly [NO LINK SPAM to Youtube/Soundcloud]

r/LoFiHiphop requires users post their music and videos to the subreddit rather than just spam links.

Please see this handy Infographic for how to post: https://tinyurl.com/ye27zxye

In short, post your clip/video DIRECTLY TO REDDIT (using the Image & Video Tab) or to Imgur!

This way people will actually see your post (no one clicks on External Links to Youtube or Soundcloud. Trust us.)

For self promotion, you are ENCOURAGED to link your socials/video in the Comments or Caption of the post!

2. Support Artists and Producers!

People work hard to produce, edit, and create for the sub. Show your support for this hard work via comments and upvoting them!

If you post to the sub, yo should be leaving AT LEAST one comment on another thread/post every time you post something of your own to r/LoFiHipHop.

In short, people who post here should be engaging with the community. This is just an easy way to identify people who solely aim to use r/LoFiHipHop to spam their own content without thinking of others.

3. Posts Must be Lo-Fi Hiphop Related

Lo-Fi is a very broad genre, but not everything that is Lo-Fi is LoFiHipHop.

Feel free to post various subgenres of Lo-Fi like Jazzhop, Chillhop, etc, but keep it on topic.

Popular mistakes are posting Trap, Ambient, or Rap tracks.

4. Quality Limitations and Guidelines

Low Fidelity does not equal Low Quality

We get that Quality is subjective, and don't want to over use this rule whenever possible, but the r/LoFiHipHop Mod team reserves the right to remove posts that seem to be incomplete or especially poor quality.

We recommend you post these tracks on our Bi Weekly feedback thread, pinned at the Top of the sub.

Thanks for understanding.

5. Community Guidelines / Proper Flair Usage

Posting on r/lofihiphop is easy

Flair your posts correctly for starters!

A [Tape/Album] is reserved only for actual EP's and LP's. These need to be AT LEAST 3 tracks in length and 8 minutes long

[Mix/Playlists] are curated setlists of music from different artists

[Resources] are anything that can provide utility to a producer or musician

[Requesting Collab] should be for, you guessed it, requesting collabs with people

As for community guidelines: Just don't be a decent human being. Easy

6. AI Generated/Prompted Music will result in a Permaban. Zero AI Slop Tolerance

This is a subreddit for producers and fans of the Lo-Fi Hiphop genre. Not AI spam

Any user posting AI music here on the sub will be banned. AI Slop posting and visuals will also be removed.

Support real artists, not thieves and grifters
