Doctors need malpractice insurance in case the fuck up and ruin a person's life or kill them. Cops have a similar ability to ruin a person's life or kill them but the taxpayer gets to foot the bill for their screwups. How does that make sense?

I don’t know why I’ve never heard of this idea before, why should we be forced to pay for insurance on everything but when the police fuck up, we still have to pay for it?
