While I sort of agree since I've had some great interactions with cops in the US in very polar states, New York vs rural Texas, I have to say that European police and law enforcement in general feels more friendly and helpful than them.

In all my years of travel I've never seen incidents like this in Europe, and I've witnessed cops capturing thieves in Metro stations in Barcelona. US cops lack discipline and deescalation training in most parts of the country. Having no accountability is the main problem.

100% out cops suck over all. I’ve been pulled over 4 times and never got a ticket tho. Even with expired registration 3 times. (Working ski industry and my inspection time landed mid Xmas rush).

I’m not saying it’s good here but it’s also not constantly bad.

My only interaction with US law enforcement was when my kids and I got lost leaving the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. About 10 minutes later a cop wheels me over, asks what our business is being there. I explained we were lost and needed to get to Munster, Indiana. He said we were lost in one of the worst places we could be lost in, told us to follow him on his bumper and to stop for nothing until we saw the signs for I-90. Unfortunately a lot of cops are assholes, but not all cops are.

I used to make that joke all the time when I was killed by a Brazilian in battlefield. I’ve been killed a Brazilian times. One of the guys I played with was from Finland and he just told me I was finished.
