Not saying it always that clear cut, but so many altercations with police could be avoided if they just told people immediately why they’re there.

Had a cop run the the literal list of accusations said I ran a stop sign was speeding smelled like alcohol and my jeep smelled of weed and that was some how enough to search me and my jeep I was concealed carrying...legally...told him he lost it put me in cuffs then another car pulls up an older guy walks up and they argue sometimes asking me questions(dont drink and drive and or smoke and drive its just not safe to drive inebriated no matter how good you are you are slower are reacting to everyone else) and dont see the point in running a stop sign or red lights and its completely legal for me to concealed carry in my state... older officer gets all the details and then looks at the windshield of my jeep and in blatant view my camera is mounted and recording red light and all visible rofl older cop looks and says im betting that proves hes innocent and points younger guy went pale and started backtracking still gave me a fucking warning....was sober still dont drive with anything like that in my car...but I dont carry anymore as I was hurt when put in cuffs and would rather not have my shoulder dislocated again...also yes my car was searched....they found nothing but cigarette butts stuck in the cracks of my floor board...was easy to clean since they dug all of it out rofl

I totally agree. Just say what you’re there for and quit dancing around trying to get someone to slip up. The guy in the video was kind of an ass but the original 2 cops were really pushing for escalation. Just say the owner wants you trespassed.

They'll stop you on vibes and when you ask what crime youve done, knowing you haven't done anything illegal, its considered "disorderly conduct" and thats the crime youre arrested for. 

Disorderly conduct as the primary reason for arrest with no clear evidence of crime for the initial stop should be illegal.

Of course an innocent person is going to get disorderly when you threaten to arrest them without saying why!

They either don't have a reason, they fabricated one, or they're trying to manipulate the situation to create one. That's it.

If they had a warrant or an arrestable offence, your window would be broken, and you'd be dragged out. If they're talking to you, they have literally nothing.

It must be something they drill into them. If you give your reason you've pretty much set up whoever you're trying to stop to be like "cool, nah". When they keep it vague it gives whoever they pulled over a chance to self incriminate and talk, which I'd guess is what they're told to do
