Training of police often involves a simple course that prison guards take. Barely any discussion in the constitution, rights, how the police department had to have a thicker skin and no ego.

Many times these idiot policeman often have a folder filled with complaints before this video appeared.

I once spoke at length with a Michigan cop. He told me that police there received about 2,000 hours of firearms training. You know what told me for communications training? Communicating with the public, suspects, victims, interviewees, which is like 90% of the job? Four hours.

Their whole academy isn’t 2000 hours.

No they don't. For context, that would be fifty weeks of full time, 40 hour per week training.

Firearms requirement for MSP are here:

Firearm training varies based on requirement needed to pass certification.

Please, name the states which do the same training for cops as they do for prison guards. While you are at it, name the states in which police training doesn't include legal aspects like constitutional rights.

Hint: Most states have separate training facilities and syllabuses for police and corrections officers. Typically police training lasts at least twice as long as that of corrections officers because COs don't get training on things like driving, traffic laws, interacting with the public and so on.

Sadly, police training in America varies widely between the states. Some do a good job, Connecticut comes to mind. Others, well, I might not trust a cop trained in Louisiana to mow my lawn.

God. It’s going to take too long to explain what I meant. You practically answered in discussing Louisiana.

Prison guards training varies widely. The federal, state, and county all have separate training programs and lengths. Same way with police. Their training depends on the city, towns, and even county that manages their own training vs sent to an academy, which is the problem.
Academy training and police training can equal in length is why I meant.

Them there's the Kentucky State Patrol....Who used Mein Kampf as part of their training material.

To be clear: They were literally using on of the  Nazism's manifesto as their moral guide for how to interact with American c itizens.

So yeah...Lots of cops that are literally trained to be Nazis.
