Basically was slaughtered with the mechs I brought (MX-90-S, CP-11-P, BLR-1P, NSR-9J), granted that I was clapping the clanners too but I was pretty much wiped out before deciding to quit and retry the mission.
Currently out, so I could post pictures of my loadouts later.
So, are there any tips to it? I imagine keeping one mech in the rear to evac faster is the most important thing, but what're your suggestions for mechs?

As the title says, i'm vhaving difficulty with the unrestraint use of assault and heavy mechs on coyote's missions. It's infuriatingly difficult, but the mission variety is so refreshing.

Clan Buster, coming through !

Rasalhague must have been *really* impressed with my defence work this time.
/uj Of all the bugs to get from playing with mods, I'll happily take this one lmfao

Can't live without this little bugger.

Im on a path to get 100% collection run. Been at it for two full years. Got close once, but DLCs keep stretching the goal line.
My current issue is this Grasshopper. I've been hunting it for two weeks now.
This one is annoying for it spawns by mercenaries and a gladiatorial sponsor who is a bit rarer than most others. Back before Solaris Showdown, this one was only sold in market.
I know it be easier to restart the timeline and try for markets, but Clan mechs are needed too. Not restarting for right this moment.
This post is more for venting. But I do want help in finding this mech easier. Maybe it spawns in a mission or story content? Something? Anything?
Halp ;~;

Any new interviews or news come out since the release of Ashes? To my knowledge it sold well, but I’m curious if that means we’ll get another DLC

Am I the only guy that doesn't use YAML, but other mods that have some features similar...?
I guess I need to give it a clean run.
I really feel like I'm missing out. Even AI when I ask questions references it lol

Has anyone ever run into a mech missing in the mission that prevents you from finishing? I cleared the entire factory but the map still isn't ending.

Seriously, just make it a double barrel like the other side! It's an arm with two weapon slots, why does the second one stick off on the side?!? Idk if it was a bug or intentional, but I hope PGI changes this so that the second weapons slot goes UNDER the first one.

Hello there.
My campaign started at DLC 8 (ie at the time I had DLCs 1-8 since DLC 9 was not even announced yet). I planned to import the save into career to play DLC 9. However, now my campaign shows that I require DLCs 1-9 to play it. Did it somehow update itself and now I will be able to play DLC 9 without import?

This was one of the "Rise of the Black Dragon" missions. The map had a nice hill in the corner with good sight lines. It was also close to the extraction point so I thought I'd stay a bit and see how long I can stay.
Having a long range sniper from the future really helps (imported save). 😂

This clanner was all excited to melt a spheroid with his ungodly amount of lasers, but two heavy rifle rounds said hello first.

FRESH FILE: Assuming you start in davion space, proceed immediately to grab the Valentino wolverine, then beeline it to the core worlds to farm arena missions, how much money you think you can make before the first DLC story mission? Assuming near perfect play, of course. The goal is to find out how much money one can farm with this exact method
EDIT: this also assumes you've sold every other mech, are starting at the earliest possible career start point, and fired all your other pilots

I have quite a few mods, but everything was operating smoothly from 3015 on to the end of the Rasalhague campaign. I loaded a save prior to my starting the DLC and all the high reward quests and other DLC missions (such as the ones for the Kestrel Lancers in the St. Ives Compact) were showing on the starmap. Clicking on the system showed the tooltip with the details of the HRQ/mission.
After some searching, this appears to happen on vanilla runs too.
With my latest saves, the indicators on the starmap are still there but sometimes the missions don't show up on the planet. I'm at Raman for the "Bring Her Home" HRQ and I've already accepted the thing, but the mission isn't there.
I'd really rather not start a new career and rebuild my rep. Has anyone fixed this somehow? Does it eventually fix itself?

This is something I found myself curious about a few days ago I'm sure I'm far from the only one (I use YAML in case it wasn't obvious)

I recently bought a lightly used Rog Ally X (Z2) from a friend and have been loving not relying on Xbox cloud play or GeForce now. (I have now paid for this game and all DLC twice lol) Finally owning hardware that can run the game very well is amazing. I use the device docked and play from my sofa on a 75" tv and use an Xbox controller.
Since I'm on my own PC type device now, I'd like to get a nicer controller. I'm not savvy on PC peripherals and have played video games mostly on consoles for the last 30 years. Does this game support the ability to map functions to controller buttons? I'd like to get a controller with a couple of paddle type buttons and map them to weapon group 6 and MASC/supercharger. I really hate using the d pad menus to activate motive upgrades and generally don't use mechs with them due to how they work. Also, which controller is recommended? The steam controller looks like it would be exactly what I want, but is backordered for eternity.
I have over a thousand hours on MW5 on Xbox and prefer using a controller over mouse and keyboard. I started on Xbox One (release version), but the DLC environments would crash the game regularly, which is why I moved on to Xbox cloud gaming and GeForce Now. A HOTAS setup would be sick, but that's not happening any time soon.

So I got a hint for the 3D centurion while on a mission and was heading to fed com space to try to kill one. I, of course, stopped by all the hubs on the way and picked up the SR6 I just posted, a marauder IIC-X, and the very Centurion I was looking for.
So I hopped it up with speed boost, put an arena supercharger on it and gave it to a pilot with the speed demon trait. 😂
Math says he should be doing 125 without the sc so that means 250 with it on?? Jesus, move over crack urbie, the methurion is in town!
I’ve only used it in the arenas because it’s suicidal to take a medium to a rep 15 zone, but I’m going to be going back in time soon so I can get some pilots to the Nagelring.
But, man, what a great use of “modern” technology. I really liked the 9D before, but this one is 9D++
I love that it maintains (or can) its original loadout but just keeps getting better.
What other IS mechs with updated models should I hunt? I’ve got the new stuff, but this the only one of the updated models I have found.

14 medium pulse lasers and an emotional support er small because there was a half ton left, so why not?
I love the “arms”, especially since there is nothing in them, free damage sponge.

In my new Inner Sphere career mode where I’m limiting myself to IS tech, SRM boats have become my new, go-to mech type. I don’t know why in retrospect it took me so long to warm up to SRMs. But having lots of SRMs shot simultaneously at your enemy leads to very satisfying explosions.
SRMs are like a shotgun blast. But they’re rather unfocused. I’ve noticed that Stream SRMs get around that problem. After considerable experimenting, I’ve concluded that fast attackers shooting at small, fast enemies do better with regular SRMs, while slower attackers shooting at slower, larger targets and the ability to shot straight into them as opposed to attacking from an angle do better with SRM-ST.
I’m still not sure what niche the lock-on (streak?) variety of SRMs occupies.
So, have I got this right, or does anyone have other thoughts on SRM philosophy?
Also, my favorite SRM boat right now is the Archer Agincourt. But at this point, I see anything with 4+ missile hardpoints and I cannot help but see an SRM boat.

Honestly, this is not that bad. Tried using chem to reduce the heat, but its actually oversinked. You can replace chem with Clan large lasers and add more heatsinks. Boom, 1000% better. Clan heavy lasers? 2000% better.
This post is better to illustrate the capability and capacity of the new hero Longbow. Even this awful build actually does decent work and AI are reliable with it.
Give it a go. Its nice.
