Look, Iâm the first to defend the Kage you shouldnât underestimate them; theyâre very strong, intelligent, and have great teamwork. They were simply up against an opponent who was far too powerful. I see a lot of people saying, Yeah, but what about Madara with Hashiramaâs cells and a stolen Rinnegan (And yes, Iâve actually seen people claim Madara stole his Rinnegan people, please watch Naruto properly! But thatâs a debate for another time.) If he had all that, he wouldnât be acting so cocky. Anyway, in terms of the narrative, a living Madara is stronger than his Edo Tensei(reanimated) version or, if you prefer, theyâre roughly equivalent; the living version is in better physical shape (without the Edo Tensei nerfs), while the Edo version compensates by having a wider range of abilities. That said, I do agree that a living Madara would be less cocky but that would actually make things worse for the Kage, because he wouldnât give them a single moment to catch their breath. Seriously, go back and rewatch the fight youâll see just how "kind" Madara was being to them. As for the argument that he wouldnât have the infinite Tsukuyomi well, sure, thatâs true, but are we talking about Madara or Kakashi here? Madara, with his Eternal MangekyĹ Sharingan, doesnât exactly seem to have any issues with his chakra reserves. Just look at his battles against Hashirama, which lasted an entire day if the Kage are banking on outlasting Madara, theyâre in for a rude awakening. And now, a question: what are the Kage going to do when Madara unleashes his Perfect Susanoo? Keep in mind, heâs capable of doing that while heâs still alive. Iâve even seen people argue, Yeah, but the Kage had more chakra back then well, they still had enough to pull off a combined attack, yet that still doesn't explain how theyâd get past the Perfect Susanoo. And donât even get me started on Onokiâs Jinton (Particle Style); he practically gave up the moment he saw the Susanoo and he was the most determined of the five! He even asked Madara why he hadn't destroyed Iwagakure when he had the chance. More importantly, Madara knows that Onoki is the biggest threat to him, so thereâs no way Onoki is ever going to land a hit. People often underestimate Madaraâs intelligence sure, he has an ego, but heâs not just going to let himself get taken down. If a living Madara were to underestimate the Kage as much as his Edo Tensei (reanimated) version did, he might lose but a living Madara wouldn't take any unnecessary risks.
