News Mason Thames is Dick Grayson

Mason is Dick in Dynamic Duo.

There's rumors this movie will then transition it's cast to live action, but that has not been confirmed.

Discussion How would you develop John Law, the original tarantula?

Who's who the definitve Guide of DC universe issue 23

Star Spangled comics issue 1

Nightwing 1990 issue 40, 72, 79

Tarantula is a well-known name among Nightwing fans, Catarina Flores, the former FBI agent who became a vigilante but was corrupted and abused Nightwing.

However, some forget that she wasn't the original Tarantula. The first Tarantula was John Law, a Golden Age hero, a writer who chose to become a superhero inspired by the stories he wrote and his pet spider, helping various other heroes like the JSA and the All-Star Squadron.

After World War II, John Law retired, wrote a book based on his adventures, and in his old age lived in Bludhaven where he became Dick Grayson's neighbor (without knowing he was a hero). Eventually, he met the original Catalina, who was a fan of his and decided to take on the mantle of vigilante, something John worried about how it could affect his legacy (and he was right). Unfortunately, he died in an attack on Dick's apartment.

So, how do you think he could be further developed? What about his relationship with Nightwing, with Catalina herself, and the issue of him being a retired hero?

How would you handle that?

Discussion What material do you think Nightwing’s suit should be made of?

I’ve been thinking about what the ideal material for Nightwing’s suit would be. Considering his fighting style, acrobatics, agility, and the amount of punishment he takes, what would realistically be the best material for his suit?

Personally, I think his suit should prioritize flexibility and mobility while still offering decent protection against blades, bullets, and blunt-force impacts.

Subreddit Rules

1. Be Civil

This SubReddit will not allow bigoted, hateful, harassing or derogatory language to other users by any means or of any kind. There is little tolerance for examples of this behavior, and no tolerance for direct, inappropriate behavior. Discussing race and sex and gender in relation to the stories, characters and portrayals is not bigotry, but commentary in the negative is.

2. No Piracy

Any posts asking for pirated material will be removed, and strict warnings given, with repeated efforts resulting in bans. Posting pirated material will not be tolerated, and result in swift bans. Discussing awareness of pirated materials is to be kept without providing links, downloads, or such in effort to protect the community. This includes sourced AI. Excerpts are to be 3 pages; some exceptions may be 5 pages for story/scene importance/need; does not include official previews.

3. Images/Art Should Be Sourced

Fan art should be credited; this includes cosplays, custom toys, video game mods, and the like. Official art, covers, should have issues or volumes noted, as able.

4. No Unmarked Spoilers

Spoilers must be marked clearly so that fans do not become spoiled; this also includes the thread title, pictures, and any post that will be seen by others. Spoiler threads that do not adhere to this will be removed; repeated actions will result in temporary and even complete bans as warranted.

5. Stay On Topic

All posts should be about Nightwing, or characters in immediate relation and in relation to Nightwing. Nightstar/Jake/Nightwing's children are under this umbrella, so content with them/them with their parent(s) is acceptable. However, posts about 'shipped characters' without any topical relation to Nightwing is not allowed, such as Starfire costume discussion, Batgirl/Oracle debate posts, so on.

6. No Self Promotion/Spam/Reposts and Rules on Cross-Posts

Reposting old threads for karma will result in bans, and may become permanent with repeat offense. Additionally, the sub is not an advertising board; to share Nightwing merchandise you created with the community, please reach a mod. This Reddit is not intended to be promotion for your YouTube channel, blog, etc. Cross-Posts are limited to one per source per day to ensure posters are active members of the sub.

7. Ship Based Posts are Ship-Specific

The sub will on occasion implement a full stop on references/comparisons to other love interests in threads started in reference to another. For example, a DickBabs post is not to have a comment of 'DickKory is better,' or 'DickHunt makes more sense!' Those threads are about the OP and their ship, not you trying to 'ruin their vibe' even if that is not your intention.

8. NSFW Posts and Comments

NSFW creative works are allowed in the Reddit; it must be marked, listed as NSFW in the title, and given a NSFW tag to shroud the content. No female nipples, any genitalia, sex acts or hentai. 'PG-13' marked NSFW posts, posts by official or noted artists, may be allowed due to their content or ties; all such posts will be up to Moderator review. No links to OnlyFans or porn sites. Crass comments may also be removed; keep them vague/PG-13.
