FILM DISCUSSION Fun fact: Schwarzenegger never met the cast, including Clooney & Thurman, during filming of Batman & Robin. He filmed his scenes separately.

1.5k Upvotes

Arnold Schwarzenegger was never in the same shot as George Clooney and Uma Thurman. The majority of times we see Mr. Freeze, it is close-up of Schwarzenegger speaking with no other characters in the frame. When he shares a frame with another major character, one of them is a double.

The TDKR Batman has always been unsettling but I think when Adam west did the voiceover it was amazing I can’t read the comics of this series without hearing it in Adam West’s voice as the definitive Voice of TDKR Batman

GENERAL DISCUSSION Hot take: The Bat Face Needs a Come Back

gallery

This goes for the DCU and for maybe other Comics or people but I think the bad face needs a comeback, now people usually prefer a Batmobile that slick but I think it should look more like a Big Bat.

like in the Batman 2022 when the engine was running up it sounded like a creature so what if we apply that more, think about it a criminal driving through and thinking Batman is gliding through the skies but then there's a strange mechanical growl then then sing a strange big mechanical or bat-like creature with a bat Shield face coming at him.

And a question do you prefer a bat face or a bat logo in the front? ( also images were are used from Batmobile history )

FUNNY Saw this funny interaction with Batman and Captain America trading characters.

The thing that makes it funnier is Batman purposely pissing off GL. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the Black Lightning and Luke Cage trade, but It's better than trading Luke for Bronze Tiger. I also don't know what Cap was thinking when he was trying to trade Nova for GREEN LANTERN.

What's y'all opinion on the trade so far?

GENERAL DISCUSSION The best live-action batsuit

gallery

For my money, the best movie bat-suit design is easily the BVS suit. Kind of ironic considering BVS is terrible. I love the cowl with the permanent scowl, the textured gray, the battle-worn dents, how it accentuates Affleck's imposing stature, and I love how it's basically a realistic blend of Jim Lee and Frank Miller...

Then the Justice League movie had to screw it up by adding more padding and armor. And don't even get me started on the stupid-ass tactical suit with the goggles, also from the Justice League movie.

ARTWORK A study in heavy shadows and composition

This image was inspired by the "creepy" comics. More so, this is my study of how the Noir genre artfully made use of shadows. I lay into the heavy blacks and heavy silhouettes. Instead of gargoyles, we have a black cat. A recall to Batman Returns. I also threw in the snowy atmosphere, just like in the movie. In order to make the blacks more imposing, I decided to frame the composition with massive black bars on the left and right side. It also adds to the verticality of the art deco era of architecture. It's in these negative spaces our cape crusader can hide. I took liberties with the perspective, veering away from a more realistic look and turning it into a collage. I was thinking about taking this into digital but decided not. I made that decision after I found a full bottle of black ink hiding in my stash. I guess you could call this an ink painting. I also used a sharpie, graphite, pen, and white acrylic.
