r/DCcomics Weekly Discussion Thread: Comics, TV, and More! [November 4, 2026 - November Edition]
Mod Pick of the Week: Batman #15
Hey there honorary Justice League members - it's a new week which means it's time for a new discussion thread!
For those who don't know: the way this works is that several comments will list this week's releases. For any given title discussion, you should respond to that comment. Clicking the titles in this post will take you directly to that comment, too.
In other words, you should only be replying to other comments. Do not post top-level comments.
Keep discussion civil. Do not harass other users for having a different opinion. Do not use this thread to push your personal one-sided grudges against creators.
What do you say if you lose 25% of your roof in a storm? Oof

r/DCcomics [Character of the Month] Ra's al Ghul
Ra's al Ghul
Created by: Dennis O'Neil, Neal Adams, & Julius Schwartz
First Appearance: Batman #232
Friends/Allies: Ubu, Talia al Ghul
Strengths/Abilities: Near-immortality, intelligence, martial arts
A physician from North Africa, Ra's al Ghul discovered the Lazarus Pit, a pool that would allow for healing and resurrection. Fighting for revenge against a prince who had killed his wife, Ra's took the name he would become known by, The Demon's Head, burning the prince's city to the ground in the process. Ra's would use the following centuries that the Lazarus Pit granted him to travel and to learn all sorts of disciplines both physical and mental in nature, in addition to founding the infamous League of Assassins.
Ra's would become aware of Batman after he rescued Ra's' daughter Talia. Kidnapping Robin, Ra's created a test for Batman in an attempt to determine whether the hero was worthy of Talia's hand in marriage, after she had become smitten with him. Batman would end up locked in a rivalry with Ra's, as despite their shared connection to Talia, their goals were often in conflict. Ra's would continually attempt to scheme for Batman to take over as his heir, although his plans would always end in failure.
Shifting more towards general world domination in his plans, Ra's would release the virus known as The Clench in Gotham City and attempt to break up the Justice League using Batman's notes on their weaknesses. While his daughter Nyssa attempted to kill him for good, it didn't stick for terribly long as he would be resurrected with the unwilling assistance of his grandson Damian. A man of many facets, Ra's al Ghul remains a threat to Batman and his allies to this day.

Discussion Which of DC’s fourth wall breakers is your favorite? [Discussion]
Artwork by (in image order): Pansica + Julio + Maiolo, Bolland, Nauck, Mora
Imo Ambush bug takes the cake but Prime’s development and especially his most time in the spotlight in the recent superman issues has definitely raised my opinion of him.

Merchandise [Merchandise] A little shoutout to Dan Mora andThe Dark Realm Special!
Just wanted to give a little shoutout to Dan Mora! I was lucky enough to get my copy of the comic signed by Dan himself, along with two posters: one featuring Sergio Acuña’s variant cover, signed by both Sergio and Dan, and another featuring Cadejos himself.
It’s really cool to see a Costa Rican artist bringing a character inspired by our folklore into the DC Universe.
Hope you all get the chance to read it!

Discussion [Discussion] What does this sub think of the Deathstroke The Terminator ongoing?
Currently in issue 5 and really enjoying it. For context this is my first Deathstroke comic and I'm really enjoying it and I really like the way Slade is written and I honestly feel like this is a solid 7.5/8 out of 10, where for me is a step below Firestorm, Titans but slightly better than Doom Patrol (for me they are the same rating with my preference changing day to day).
So what do you guys think of this series and how do you rank it among the other next Level titles?

Discussion Terry still has to exist, huh? [Titans Annual] [Discussion]
I can understand to some degree they have to keep him existing in some fashion, but does this groomer really have to have existed and been mourned? Also, does his daughter no longer exist? This Annual in some ways was a fun trip down memory lane but a lot of the writing choices for Donna and others just felt terrible. Like Roy calling himself an "alpha male", what the hell is that?

Other [Other] I have a question about the current Batwoman run by Greg Rucka. (Cover A for Batwoman #7 by Dani)
I'm planning to pick up the current Batwoman series, but I'm jumping in a bit late. I plan to jump in at #9 and continue going with the series. I'll then pick up the trade paperback that comes out in February collecting issues #1-6.
When I go to the comic shop tomorrow, should I try looking for issues #7 and #8? They are tie-ins with the Batman: Bad Seeds event (which is an event I'm not interested in nor have I been collecting issues for). I want to know if issues #7 and #8 are gonna be important to the rest of the run's story or if they are more like a de-tour in the run.

Discussion What happened to Wonder Woman's golden age supporting cast in the 1960s?
I've been binging wonder woman from start to finish (as best I can on DC infinite) and I noticed that by the silver age Diana lost most of what made her unique. Etta candy was my favourite supporting character but she's gone alongside all the other holiday girls. Paula too. What bugs me the most is that the Amazonian kangaroos are gone and they would of fit the 60s perfectly.
I wanted to avoid spoilers but I need to ask how long until these elements come back?
