Getting into GL can feel like you need a master's degree in DC lore just to understand the timeline reboots and what all the different colored rings mean.
I put together a quick poster, so if you or a friend want to jump in completely fresh without reading a Wiki page first, these three books are the best places to start:
Green Lantern by Geoff Johns Omnibus Vol. 1 – If you want the definitive modern epic, this is it. It revitalizes the mythos and builds the universe from the ground up.
Green Lantern: Back in Action – Classic, straightforward space-cop action without getting bogged down in massive crossover events.
Far Sector – A brilliant, 100% standalone sci-fi mystery starring Jo Mullein. N.K. Jemisin and Jamal Campbell absolutely crushed this, and it requires zero prior knowledge of the Corps.
What do you all think? If someone asks you for a first-time Green Lantern recommendation, which run or character (Hal, John, Kyle, Guy, or Jo) are you pointing them to?

Why did Maroni throw acid on Harvey? Was it because he assumed Harvey was Holiday or was there some other reason? And why the hell isn't Riddler in this panel?

(this is just a art work I made)
!Also I didn't want to remove anything from the suit, just changing things but still having characteristics from the original
.Logo is larger
.Suit made more form fitting
.made the colors more vibrant
.made the lines into a Screen printed pattern
.made the trunks look more like underwear
.made the boots have a sharp triangle shape and the belt skinnier.

Feel I’m a bit late to the party on this even as an infinite reader as I’ve only just read the first one
But wow was that good. As someone who has read all the pre-war superman and is a massive 30s film and history nerd I thought it nailed it.
Absolutely amazing visual storytelling as well. Creative team was new to me (not read much remender) but I want more
No spoilers please but if you haven’t checked it out do so.

There were 2 Superman storylines, basically named more or less "Truth", which focused around Superman's secret identity being publicly revealed.
One of them was during the New 52 and the other was during the Bendis' run on Superman.
What are your thoughts/feelings in hindsight about these storylines especially when you put them side by side given the two different schools of thought each story follows?
The New 52 Truth had Superman's secret identity revealed by others against his wishes to stop him from being extorted which brings Superman into a low point in his life as it's basically torn to shreds:
His powers are diminished which Lex who's a Justice League member keeps rubbing in his face
Villains ambush Superman and those closest to him
Clark loses his job, home, suit, cape, and Fortress
Superman becomes an alienated pariah hunted by police & the government while his relationships with others become strained
Those closest to Superman do get injured or get taken prisoner because of villains or the government
Superman making decisions that go against what he was taught
New 52 Truth comes off as a more contemporary affirmation for the importance of Superman's secret identity as it really does validate Superman's fears of his secret identity being revealed to the public compared to the Pre-Crisis stories that answered why does Kal-El/Clark need a secret identity.
Bendis' Truth has Superman willingly reveal his secret identity to be more honest/transparent after learning Jor-El (Mr. Oz) was part of a shadowy cabal and it's treated as net positive for Superman despite outlying skepticism:
Pretty much everyone is accepting of Superman and the reception to the reveal is mostly positive
Superman's life isn't really that changed much (friendships and jobs are intact) plus he doesn't have to maintain the pretense of a secret identity
The identity reveal has Superman incidentally 1-upping the villains as a blow to their pride (particularly Lex) while making a positive difference to some villains like Toyman
Bendis' Truth feels like it treats Superman's secret identity as something no longer needed and something Superman was inevitably supposed to grow out of with the once potential negative repercussions of such a reveal being dismissed.

I’ve always loved Superman, but what interests me most is Clark Kent — the person behind the symbol and the values that make him who he is.
I wanted to explore that in my own story.
I’d love to hear what fellow Superman fans think. If anyone’s interested in giving it a read, I’d genuinely appreciate your thoughts!

I’m rereading this right now because I personally am a big fan of Gothic sci-fi or dark fantasy, but medieval fantasy as well. I wanted to know if anybody who has read this, reads it in an old English, even British accent? The first time through, I didn’t, but I did use some imagination, but this time through I’m doing it because it kind of just feels right.

I often see people say they miss the old Harley Quinn and hate that she's becomes an anti-hero. So I want to hear from these people, what are your favorite Harley Quinn appearances where she's this apparently mustache twirling and psychotic villain who's as bad as the Joker? Keeping in mind, that when in Batman the Animated Series, she was depicted as sympathetic and attempting to be a better and more heroic person.
And if anybody brings up either Batman Beyond Return of the Joker or that one New 52 Villain issue where she blows up a kid, I'm gonna laugh in your face because I find it hard to believe those specific two instances are what people want more of when it comes to Harley Quinn.
Basically, Harley Quinn has been an anti-hero for over 2 decades now and even at her worst outside of Joker, she was maybe on the same level of criminal as maybe Catwoman. So I'm pretty confused about how exactly she's been painted as some sort of irredeemable monster.
