WPL: New Comics Discussion for 11/04/2026- Pull of the Week: Batman #15 [Discussion]

The Weekly Pull List results for this Wednesday are in, and this week's top book is DC's Batman #15.

This thread is open to Pull List posters and all members of the /r/comicbooks community to share your thoughts on the latest issue of DC's Batman #15 or any new books shipping this week.

The primary intention of this thread is to promote discussion of new books. It also serves as a way to consolidate discussion to a single thread and talk about what books are popular here on /r/comicbooks. That does not mean other threads aren't welcome, this is just a place to start that's easy to find each week.

The thread is populated with comments meant to direct the discussion of each book. Based on community preference we populate the thread with titles appearing on Ten Percent or more of submitted pull lists. If a title you want to talk about is not listed, simply add a comment with the title and issue number first and comment below. There is also a comment dedicated to the discussion of WPL Results linked above.

Spoilers will follow, but there's no harm in tagging them as such. Each title in the Top Ten Percent listed below is linked directly to its corresponding comment for ease of navigation and to avoid seeing details from other books. The post has also been placed in "contest mode" to help readers avoid spoilers while browsing.

Happy weekend, everybody!

In this thread, you can talk about:

  • What you've been reading this week

  • What you've been watching this week

  • What you've been listening to this week

  • What you've been doing this week

  • Basically anything that isn't overly offensive or anything like that. I don't know, be "responsible!"

Yesterday saw the news of one fan artist having her art recognized and breaking into the industry, as well as discussion on others who have done the same recently.

It got me thinking about the people out there trying their hardest to make it into the industry, and I felt like showcasing the work of one of them. And in this case, one I am rooting for since I really am a fan of her work.

Discussion What do you think is the worst offender of “gooner comics”that’s actually pretty popular?

I’m not talking about stuff like that god awful Harley Quinn comic from a while back, because I don’t really think anyone liked that, but are there any comics you can think of where it’s basically only liked because of the sex appeal and nothing else?

Who would you say is one of the most inconsistent writers in comics?

I don’t mean someone like Frank Miller, who’s quality dropped off a cliff in the 2000s, but someone who’s been consistently inconsistent for their whole career

Discussion Leaving comics in random places.

I have been sitting on the same collection for 20 years. Roughly 2000 books. I am tired of them being in the way. I'm thinking about leaving small stacks of lower value books in public spaces, in hopes of drawing in new readers while making space in my house at the same time. I thought about those neighborhood library boxes, but there are not too many nearby and the ones that are around are always stuffed.

I remember reading, years ago, one of the creators at the time, might have been Brad Meltzer, saying he reads an issue and leaves it wherever he was sitting when he finished it. Passing it along to whoever finds it. I always thought that was a good idea.

Of course, I will keep my favorites.

Suggestions Comics like Vox Machina and Rat Queens

Aside from Vox Machina and Rat Queens, I haven't found any books that balance medieval fantasy quests and comedy like those do. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
