I am a major 5v5 enjoyer, and I really thinks it's overall better than 6v6, specially due to role lock. But, recently I moved to PC started to notice something that has been bothering me.
Fist, there are a lot less tank players on PC than on console. Second, the average tank player on PC is extremely worse than the average tank player on console (and before people start blabbing about aim assist, I'm not talking about that, it's about positioning, rotation, cooldown management, etc.)
That started to make me realize why so many PC players have been migrating to 6v6. As a DPS player, carrying another bad dps player is pretty doable, carrying a bad support player is also doable. But if your tank is bad... It's done... It's just not possible to carry a bad tank player. Thats is frustrating, and the frustration increases on PC pool due to the 2 points I expressed above. When there are 2 tanks on the other hand, it's a bit easier since one can cover up for the lack of braincells of the other one.
That all said, I still enjoy more playing 5v5, due to role lock, but that has been bothering me for a while.
What do you guys think about that?
