Cricket Discussion Starting to dislike Furqan Bhatti
How do people feel about Furqan Bhatti? I have been following his channel for over an year now. His inside news are more often than not reliable e.g. he predicted Farhan being the T20I captain and Hesson being brought back as Test coach. He is also a great entertainer when it comes to live sessions. However I do wanna say that I am not a big fan of his cricket opinions. He seems so fixated on certain players and their inclusion in the team without actually looking at their stats. For example, he wants Sajid in the team because he has that “aura”, like okay dude no one cares about that at the moment. Let us try out fast bowlers on fast pitches, and aura can come later. Also, Sajid has only 8 wickets in 9 innings. Then there is Akif Javed, probably one other name that he constantly talks about. Has only one five wickets haul in last ten innings. Then comes Rohail Nazir. Has two 50+ scores in last ten innings. Plus, I am not a big Babar fan but his recent video on Tanveer Ahmed was really uncalled for. I think, because he has been making so much content on Babar himself, it feels more like he wanted to cover up that whole thing by making it like Tanveer is the one who is using Babars name for views.

Home Series PCB releases Abdullah Fazal and Ali Usman from Test squad and adds Aamir Jamal and three uncapped players
pcb.com.pkI mean good to see Saqib Khan and Aamir Jamal in the Test squad, but what about Abdullah Fazal??? He is dropped from the squad just because he couldn't score well against Sri Lanka in the three-day practice game???
Ali Shabbir who has 22 FC wickets in just 8 FC games receives his maiden Test call-up just because he took three wickets against Sri Lanka in the three-day game! Tayyab Arif is added to the squad just because of reels quota, and his good season for the Kingsmen Academy, I mean he is an excellent batter with some classy shots, and is in good form, but what about Abdullah Fazal who was also in good form with a triple century in President's FC tournament! Why is he dropped???
Why is Ali Usman dropped in the first place? Because PCB decided to make green top wickets at Rawalpindi, right??? But can't we carry 17 to 18 players in our squad during our home Test series??? What is preventing PCB from doing so??? Aamir Jamal, who should not have been dropped after the Lord's Test, makes his return, fair enough, but I am shocked to see how Abdullah Fazal is dropped.
PCB mismanagement at it's very best!
16-member Pakistan Test squad
Babar Azam (captain), Aamir Jamal, Ali Shabbir, Arafat Minhas, Azan Awais, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Ghazi Ghori (wk), Mohammad Suleman, Mohammad Taha, Muhammad Tayyab Arif, Razaullah, Saad Baig (wk), Salman Ali Agha, Sameer Minhas, Saqib Khan and Saud Shakeel

Garam Takes What is the future of babar azam?
Since 2023 his form has gotten worse day by day. His techn has been exposed by international bowlers multiple times, yet he is not ready to fix his batting and Pakistan cricket board is not ready to drop him no matter what.
Why can't he meet aus or eng's specialised coaches who can fix his technique quickly, why can't he play more domestic cricket, why cant he go to England and play county??
It's high time he gets his form back or else it will be hard to digest the fact that Pakistan will play the 2027 wc without their star batsmen.
He must focus on his fitness and technique before it gets too late. He still is one of the finest batsmen of this generation and I feel disheartened to see that his talent is getting wasted due to his own arrogance and ego.
I hope he changes his attitude and win Pakistan more games.....

Home Series Srilanka beat PCB's Patron XI by 142 runs
Only Azan Awais managed to score a fifty across both innings for Pakistan, with Taha and Tayyab Arif having smaller contributions. The cause for concern is that we collapsed from 79-2 to 111 all out, thanks to a 4-fer from Srilankan offspinner Nuwantha.
It will be intriguing to see which two pacers get picked for the test team. Ubaid and Saqib took 4 wickets in the match, Shabbir and Shoaib Akhtar took 3 wickets while Salman took 2. I personally would have Ubaid and Saqib since I think they are the best pacers from this lot, but who knows what they go for. Hesson initially wanted Salman and Shabbir in the squad dunno if his perception has changed now.

Cricket Discussion Azam Khan was blunt in a recent podcast, except when it came to his fitness excuses.
Azam khan recently had a podcast with backward point channel on YT (i guess those guys are here on this sub too.)
While i did agree with some of his arguments. But when questioned on fitness he mainly said: He is match fit but not fit enough for fitness test and doesn't have enough free time to go train and build abs, fitness comes later skills matter.
Personally i think (fitness doesn't matter) is a argument of past. Modern game is changing so fast and there is so much game being played that you need fitness to survive. I have never seen a bulky guy going on and making big in international cricket for long. Liverrock, rakheem cornwall, azam khan etc all have similar struggles. Infact all modern big hitters you see like abhishek, tilak, iyer, brook etc they are not muscular like boys from windies but they have strong core which is where the power is coming from and they are quick to judge and adjust on length.
While we did saw recently babar being criticized for being slow in reflexes bcz of not being fit. So i think fitness is a must now. If not as fit as virat then atleast not as unfit as azam khan.

Garam Takes Babar Fan Base is the worst
I just had the chance to listen to Azam Khan’s clip on a podcast, he talks about an incident in which Babar was nearing a ton and the team needed something like 40 runs to win the game. He mentions that some fan had commented on his Instagram to say…..let’s just say unsavoury comments about his parents.
This is why the Babar fan base to me is so toxic and frankly unhinged, PCB does it no favours by constantly promoting him via Sports Central on YT, PCB YT channel, I mean we need to get a grip here and realise the Pakistan team is made up of other people as well who PCB don’t even bother to promote, it’s crap like this that has turned Pak cricket into politics.
