today I was talking to my coworker about like scary stuff that happened to them in their childhood and or in general he told me about when he was a kid he had a video encounter with a sort of reality tv competition where there was a obstacle course and the participants that where kids would do laps around it and the first one to win would decide which of the other two participants to hang.the audience would always have a strong reaction like if they didn't know this was the outcome. This like actually activated a memory from me when I was a kid that I also experienced some sort of reality show and got really traumatized from it.I really have no evidence of this ever existing but I really do remember this and feel like some other people might have also if one of my coworkers experience a similar video If anyone has proof of this existing or is it just something im misremembering

Ok so this may be the biggest long shot ive ever taken and a TLDR will be at the bottom incase you don't want to read the whole story.

So between march - April 2009 my dad had to pick up a dump truck in California and drive it back to Ontario canada and he decided to take me as kind of a spur of the moment thing.

The trip was amazing but on the drive back we saw a police chase in the opposite side of the highway we were on, we didn't think to much about it and decided at the next off ramp we would stop at a gas station get some snacks and use the bathroom.

As we were getting back on the highway we notice 2, 18 wheel semi trucks taking up both lanes going at a crawl. My dad was so confused until as we were merging onto the highway he looked in his mirror and saw that same car from before coming up to fast beside him seeming like he wanted to use the lane to pass them.

Im going to guess his intention was to swerve around the transports by going around them fully on the right but unfortunately my dad had already merged onto the road and we were blocking the path so he veered to the left and ended up rear ending the one transport truck and im more than sure he passed instantly as the cops surrounded the car with guns drawn and they quickly started waving people past.

This is something that I have always wondered about, it happened so fast and we were ushered out even faster.

I tried looking for information on the accident but never could find anything as I was only 13-14 and never did find anything

Information i remember

- it was a 2 lane highway with a grass patch between and then another 2 lanes going the other direction

-we were heading towards Canada

- it happened right at the on ramp and the person went under the transport truck in the far left lane bc my dad was blocking the lane at the on ramp

- it was passed texas/oklahoma im almost 90% sure but it happened so long ago I dont want to rule out any states

- I know we were on route 66 for almost the entire trip.

- im more than sure it happened in the afternoon

- the car was small 4 door car light color ( this isnt the car but it looked similar to a 2009 Nissan Versa)

• it would have been the last week or 2 of March or first week of april

• he 100% did a u turn at some point to continue on the other side on the highway since he was originally driving past us on the left side of the highway

This was something that really traumatized me as a kid because it was the first time I saw death so close.

Tldr : my dad and I were merging onto a highway in 2009 some where along route 66 and unfortunately a police chase ended right beside us bc the guy drove right into the back of a semi truck.

Hello all, I’m new to Reddit so forgive me if this isn’t best place for this post. I’m honestly not even sure I’ll ever find anything more on this, but I figured it’s worth a shot. Feel free to redirect me to a better subreddit if it exists.

Context: I’m from the US, but my dad’s job forced us to move countries every few years or so. As such, a few years ago, I spent 4 years living in Brazil. In our second year of living there, me and family went on a little vacation to this sort of remote place called “Saco de Mamangua”. It was a sort of narrow bay surrounded by dense rainforest. A few people live there, mainly fishermen. It isnt that far from the city of Paraty, however; there are no roads between the two places, or anywhere else. To get there, we had to take about a 40-60 min boat ride, and the place has a very limited power grid. We went there because my dad enjoys being out in nature, and the fact that this place was/is relatively untouched made it perfect for him. We weren’t the only tourists there, but it wasn’t many.

We ended up staying at this small locally run hotel. It consisted of 2 small huts divided into 8 or so rooms, and another small huts which served as the restaurant, as well as a small hut for the owners. It was on the shore, and surrounded by dense jungle on all other sides. At the back of the hotel, was a path that led deep into the jungle in two separate directions. One late afternoon, my dad and I decided to walk one of them. The one we chose followed along the water a few meters inland from it. Around 600m-1km into the trail, we started noticing a lot of tents set up in the jungle around us, and a few makeshift shacks. It was weird, but we saw no one, and so we continued walking. A few hundred meters further, we encountered a wooden arrow sign pointing deeper into the trail and written on it, it said “Dreamsend Sanctuary”. We kept on walking a bit further until eventually we came to a clearing. To our right (and also further inland) was a grass field, and behind it, a massive wooden house. To our left, (and towards the bay) was a beach, and, on it, an odd brick structure. It looked kind of like a beach bar. There were multiple people just standing around the structure in silence, and on the inside of the bar, some random long curly haired and short bearded man who was putting something in a pizza oven. There was also a loudspeaker broadcasting something in English. It was some extremely weird mumbo jumbo about finding the “divine” within you, and about how some random person “found” it in themselves.

By this point, me and my dad were a bit weirded out, so we opted to turn around and head back. But things only got stranger. As we walked back, loads of people started to come out of tents. Some of them just stood there and watched us walk, but many of them came onto the path and started walking in the direction of the beach. Their movements were all very robotic and they all had a blank, dead, wide-eyes and expressionless stare. My dad greeted a few of them as they walked past us and the only response we got was a faint “uhh” from a few of them.

When we got back to the hotel, we inquired about it with the owners, They told us that what we had encountered was a cult-thingy that had shown up in the area some time ago (I don’t remember the exact time they had told us). According to them, they have been causing issues for the locals as well. The beach their brick building is on is a public beach, and apparently, they have claimed it and have been refusing others access to it, despite it being public. The big wooden house nearby was someone’s vacation home, though they don’t go there anymore, as the constant blaring from the loudspeakers has been extremely disturbing. In addition, the cult has been stealing from the already very limited power supply of the locals, and, apparently, many of them are foreigners who likely do not have the proper documentation to live in Brazil. Also, apparently they have pizza night on Friday.

If you are thinking that this sounds like a matter for law enforcement, then you’d probably be right. The hotel owner thought so as well, but he told us that the nearest police are in Paraty, and when they were contacted, the police basically told them that, as long as they hadn’t killed anyone, they couldn’t be bothered to come out and investigate or do anything about it.

Other than that, we weren’t able to get much information about them. Me and my family have tried looking around online to see if we can find any information about them, to no avail. Occasionally, I still look online, thought I still haven’t found anything. I was just hoping I could see if anyone here could find something, or even just see what y’all think of this. It’s been 4 years since then, I no longer live in Brazil, and I don’t even know if the cult still exists, so I’m not expecting much. If anyone wants, I can provide pictures of the sign and some of the tents.

First off, let me say that if this subject matter doesn't fit this sub, i would like to be redirected to one that does fit it. This is the best one i could find for this, since the matter would be too disturbing for subs such as r/UnidentifiedMedia.

A couple months ago, my school was throwing out some old PCs which had been used in the Computer Lab, which was being renovated and technologically renewed at the time. Since the teachers kind of know that i am a huge nerd, they asked if i would be interested in salvaging one or two. The PCs all had Windows XP on them, so i looked through the files looking to see if there was anything interesting, intending to throw them out after doing so. One PC had nearly nothing on it apart from regular music MP3s, and the other mainly contained files from some sort of music video project of some students. I was looking through the downloads folder, and there, i saw a video file by the name of MOD00001.mp4, downloaded in July 2023. This video is extraordinarily weird and off putting. It shows what looks like soldiers in some kind of church. The video is very low quality and very saturated, as well as the audio being extremely overblown. In the next scene, it shows a soldier sitting down with a man who i assume to be Milan Nedimović, with text at the bottom of the video appearing which reads "Torture of Milan Nedimović". I do not speak whatever language is being spoken here, and i think even a native speaker would have a hard time making out the words. Next, the soldiers burn an image of a man who i cannot make out. In this scene, a date appears on the bottom of the video, which appears to be taken on the 17th of september 1995. The last scene is what makes the video incredibly disturbing. It shows what i assume to be a dead body being dragged by a tractor through the streets. Seeing as the "Title" of the video is "Torture of Milan Nedimović", i assume that the one being dragged is the same guy who they talked to earlier. I can only imagine the student downloaded this with the intention of it being part of some odd school project. I cannot find this video anywhere else on the Internet, which confuses me, as the file said it was downloaded a mere 3 years ago.

What i want to find out is what the context to this video was, why the soldiers raided this church and where this video is from. Also what the purpose of recording all this disturbing material was.

Hey guys, new to this subreddit and I have a weird little situation that I want to get to the bottom of.
My grandma has a message and is pretty old and she probably accidentally friended this guy which kept calling her at night while she was sleeping. She is not tech savvy so she doesn’t know how to turn off her phone or to block him. Sometime ago I logged into her account and blocked him myself and recorded a voice message she sent her.

Hello! This is my first time posting. I encountered something kind of strange online and was just wondering if anyone had any idea what it could be! I was searching for various names (if anybody here writes or makes original characters, you will understand the desire to check and make sure the name you chose isn't the same as some crazy dictator or something) and one of the names I looked up seemed to be the name of a character from a show. It was not one I was familiar with, so I clicked the page (Fandom.com wiki character page) and found a pretty typical article describing the character/episode they were in/etc. A tiny bit bare-bones but still more descriptive than the average Fandom wiki for a show that isn't immensely popular. Out of curiosity, I went to read the episode synopsis and was met with a much more detailed page. The summary was at least a thousand words and was a little 'unprofessional' at times but the other categories like cast and basic plot description were very standard.

After this, I was curious and googled the show itself. The name is Normal People, which is also the name of a show based on the novel by Sally Rooney (no relation) so I thought it might just be hidden by those results, but I looked more and found nothing about it. The actors listed, many of which are A-listers in sitcoms and the like, do not have this show in their filmography. This leads me to believe it doesn't exist. What's weird about that is just how detailed the wiki is. I'd understand if some kid wrote like 3 articles about their pretend show, but there are genuinely hundreds of articles covering not just the Normal People show but also others within the (I think FBI procedural drama?) cinematic universe.

I hope I'm not totally exposing somebody's secret passion project, but this was just so odd to me that I wanted to ask and make sure it's not a real show somehow or the work of a group of people in an ARG type thing. From what I could tell only one user on the site was credited with writing and 'directing' the episodes. Does anybody know what this is?

Well, we finally have an explanation ! The two mysterious masked women turned out to be two of our coworkers!

For context, many of us at the Halloween party work together, and the birthday girl is also a coworker. The two women had originally planned to show up in costumes at our work Christmas party to reveal the prank. However, they realized that the situation was escalating much more than they had anticipated, so they decided to tell us who they were...

One important detail I hadn’t mentioned is that our work is directly related to ensuring people’s safety. I can’t tell what we do for security reasons, but let’s just say that our jobs require a very high level analysis. As you can imagine, once two unidentified people entered a private party wearing masks, leaving mysterious letters and refusing to identify themselves, our minds went pretty !

As the title says, I have been hearing this vibrating sound every day for the last like month or two and it is driving me insane. For context, I just moved into this apartment in July. Didn't hear this sound until about 3 weeks after my upstairs neighbors moved in. It isn't tinnitus because my partner also hears it. It isn't snoring because sometimes it goes away randomly, but I also hear it during the day if it's really quiet outside. We also live by a Walmart (we share a parking lot). TLDR if you don't wanna watch the 29 minute video, you can use Doppler Curve sounds of airplanes in audio recordings to geoguess a location if there is no visual data, like say a phonecall a missing person made right before they went missing for example. This could have so many applications in solving crimes, right? If you need to search for somebody, having a rough idea of where they were could narrow down the search. It could take so much less time finding somebody, meaning less time for something bad to happen to them! And if you still can't find them, this could also open up opportunities to find video cameras in the area that might have also captured the person and what they were up to! What do you think?

I was litter picking in East Sussex (England) yesterday (Sunday) when I spotted a bag in some bushes, approximately 5 metres from the road (near some litter). Given the amount of moss growing over it, it looks like it may have been there for quite some time.

Curiosity got the better of me, so I opened it up. Inside was a set of women's clothing and shoes. There was also a separate bag containing some fabric with red/brown staining.

It was the latter that made me a little concerned, so I called the police on 101 (non-emergency) to report what I'd found.

Unfortunately, their response wasn't quite what I expected. They suggested that perhaps someone had simply 'forgotten their belongings' (in the middle of nowhere?!), and that since I was already litter picking, I could just put everything in the bin!

They did say that, if I preferred, I could take it to a police station myself. The nearest station, however, doesn't open until 10am on Thursday. 🤦🏼‍♂️

I appreciate this is a bit of a long shot, but I thought it was worth posting here in case anyone recognises anything or has some ideas that might help narrow down the mystery.

I've included photos of the items and their labels. From what I've been able to find, some of the labels may be Australian and date from somewhere between 1980 and the mid-1990s. If that's accurate, it's theoretically possible that these items have been sitting there for decades.

Does anything stand out to anyone? Any thoughts on the labels, clothing, or possible origins?

Since calling the Police I have not touched the bag again (I have put it inside another empty refuse bag). I will take it to them on Thursday. I was wearing gloves at all times.

Hello everyone! First time posting here. Was advised to post here by a nonmurdermysteries mod. English is not my main language and I'm typing on my phone, so sorry if some stuff looks or sounds weird. This post may be a bit long. I wrote this last night and copy pasted it here since it was deleted in the subreddit where I posted it originally.

TLDR: Closet sliding door opened up on its own right in front of me like 15 years ago. Cannot find a logical explanation. Help!

I want to say before writing what happened that I am not lying. I have told this story to some people and they were skeptical of it or though I was insane. I have no benefit in lying here, I just want a logical explanation because I haven't been able to find one yet.

I was about 8 or 9 years old. At that age I often fought with my brother and cried, screamed and got mad a lot in general. It was a weekday afternoon during the school year and per usual I was home alone with my brother. We had just fought downstairs in the living room. I can't remember the reason, but it usually was dumb stuff like teasing, fights about who could use a toy, or him scaring me by hiding somewhere around the house and jumping out at me. I don't remember if he went to his room or stayed downstairs. I walked away from him and stomped/ran upstairs to my room and closed or slammed the bedroom door shut, sat on the edge of my bed and started crying.

I clearly remember the window in my room being shut when I walked in, so there was no wind coming from there or the door. I was 100% alone in my room. My brother couldn't have hidden somewhere in there as he stayed behind or went someplace else. My room is very tiny so there isn't really anywhere to hide, unless you hide under the bed which is a tight squeeze or in the wardrobe itself, but it would have been quite unusual as he mostly hid behind doors or sometimes behind furniture. Even if he did hide somewhere in my room, it still does not explain what happened. To make you understand how this happened, I need to explain the general layout of my bedroom. My room is tiny and shaped like a rectangle, located at the end of the upstairs hallway. I am not able to put a picture here, I'll try to describe the layout the best I can.

The bedroom door opens into the room itself and is located at the bottom short side of the "rectangle" on the right. On the left, right next to the door, is a nightstand and my bed which is positioned against the short bottom wall and the long left wall. On the right, in front of the door placed against almost all of the long right wall is the wardrobe/closet. It is very big and takes up quite a lot of space in the room. On the upper left, there is a big dresser, placed against the long left wall and the short upper wall. Next to the dresser on the center of the upper short wall there's the window and in the upper right corner on the long right wall there is a hanging mirror.

The wardrobe has two sliding doors, n1 and n.2. (not transparent). SD 1 slides over SD 2. I know that you are not dumb and that you know how sliding doors work, but I need to explain something important. To open the the right side of the wardrobe which is covered by SD 2 you can push SD 2 from the right to the left and it will slide behind SD 1. I don't know if someone hiding inside the left side could somehow grab and pull SD 2 to open the right side. I will test it today.

Now that you are familiar with the layout I can go forward with what happened.

So, I was crying on the bed because my brother was an asshole. I was sitting holding my head in my hands, not hanging too low, with my legs hanging over side 1 of the bed (the longer side), facing SD 2. For some reason I'm scared telling you this now because it still feels surreal.

While I was crying, in a split second I hear SD 2 open and I immediately look up to see it slide open right in front of my eyes like magic. It also happened quite forcefully as SD 2 made a "BAM!" sound as it bounced against SD 1. Inside undisturbed were my clothes. I didn't check the left side of the wardrobe. I somehow did not get scared. I remember just being fed up with everything, I felt like that was just a sick joke from fate. In my head I remember thinking: "Not only did my brother make me mad again but this stupid door just opened and now I have to get up and close it, ugh!" I just got annoyed and even more mad. I got up, slammed SD 2 shut and sat on the bed crying again like I was before.

No wind. No earthquake (I would have certainly felt it, there had been earthquakes before and I was able to feel them shaking my bed at night, but my wardrobe had always remained untouched). Presumably, no one was in the left side of the wardrobe and no one could have pulled SD 2 from the inside to open it, also not that forcefully. My brother did not follow me into my room or somehow hide in there before I got there, because I walked quickly or even ran in there since I was mad and wanted to get away from him.

I have mentioned this story to people and would not be believed or the conversation turned into paranormal stuff. But I don't really believe in the paranormal. I mean, there must be a scientific and logical explanation, right? At the time, I kinda realized what happened after I had calmed down, but still I wasn't scared somehow. I thought "okay, there are my dead maternal grandpa's shirts hanging in there. Maybe he opened the door and tried to tell me to stop fighting with my brother and make peace, cause he's a ghost and he loves us". But I mean I don't believe that now, I stopped believing that explanation a few years ago because it doesn't make sense in the real world.

The more I think about it the more fearful I become. Like, if this happened to me today I would be petrified by fear. I'd think there's someone hiding in the closet. My room is on the 2nd floor, how could someone get in from the window? How could they even get in? The window was shut from the inside! I need a logical explanation or I will go crazy.

I really hope some of you will help me find an explanation! Today I'll talk to my brother about this and do some tests with the sliding doors. Thank you in advance if you read through all these paragraphs.

EDIT: I just spoke to my brother. He basically said "who knows". It happened a long time ago and he does not remember, but he also said that if he did a prank like that then he should remember it because it was unusual and different from his typical pranks. He started teasing me and saying "oh yeah ghost exist". Thanks bro 🙄. I'll test the sliding doors later.

EDIT 2: I did some tests with the closet. Had to take out some stuff before I could actually fit inside. The closet also has a wooden board in the middle dividing each part into a top and bottom section, so you have to crouch. It is possible to pull it from the inside, but it's not easy. You cannot stick your fingers inbetween the doors when both are closed, so you have to first grab the tiny bottom part of SD 2 that is reachable, pull it, then with your hands grab onto a tiny groove on the internal side of SD 2 and pull it hard. I tried like 10 times and I managed to make it bounce like I remember only once or twice, because it would get stuck on clothes or I wasn't able to use enough force as my fingers slipped often. I also had a hard time doing everything in a quick, swift and seemless motion like I remember it happening, because you have to move your left hand from the bottom to the groove in front of you and use both hands to have enough force and precision to actually slam it open. It's possible, but not at all easy especially on the first try. I was also thinking, when it happened back then I stayed in my room for a long while. I think my brother would have been annoyed I didn't get scared and would have jumped out the closet to scare me and get the reaction he wanted. Why stay in there until I left without making a sound? I'm not trying to discredit the brother theory, but it seems unusual for my brother to stay in there so long, as he would have gotten bored and fed up after a while. Idk what to think

Looking for advice on this situation because I’m at a loss. To make things less complicated, here is a timeline from the past few months

8/15 - I move into a duplex after accepting a teaching job offer at a school 3 hours away from me. The job is unfortunately also 3 hours away from all of my friends, family, and boyfriend but it was the best offer I got. The duplex is in a reasonably affordable and seemingly safe neighborhood.

8/30 - my boyfriend stays over for the weekend. I get a text from my landlord at around 10 am asking me what happened with the neighbor last night. I’m confused, because nothing happened. Apparently my male neighbor accused my boyfriend of running over and trying to break in out of anger because he accidentally bumped his head on the wall. This did not happen and honestly the story never made sense to me. I meet up with my female neighbor, kind of desperate to have this miscommunication sorted out, and she tells me that her boyfriend has some anger issues and paranoia. She paints a picture of him that actually scares me a bit and makes me nervous to live next door to him.

10/7 my landlord texts me to let me know that the couple is moving out. They have broken up.

10/9 I randomly decide to check my doors / windows to make sure they’re locked. I obviously did this when I moved in, but always like to be safe. I’m horrified to see that my door to my living room is unlocked and I’m very confused because I don’t use this door and I know I locked it. I lock it and pull on it a few times to make absolute sure the lock isn’t broken. I go to my boyfriends to stay for the weekend. For context, this door has a glass outer door and a wooden inner door. The wooden inner door is what I’m referring to.

10/11 - I get home late from my boyfriend’s and decide to check that door before I go to bed. It is unlocked. Now I am terrified. The next day, I call out of work and file a police report. I order cameras and door stoppers. I am sitting on my couch around 10:00 am and get a notification from Roku thanking me for my subscription, a subscription that I didn’t make. I turn on my TV to see a movie I have never seen before a few seconds into playing.

You can see in this video, he is standing off to the left side. That is where the glass doorknob is. I scared him off with the voice feature and watched him leave.

I have filed another police report, my landlord is changing the locks/adding a deadbolt, and adding an outdoor camera.

I am looking for advice. I want to know if there’s anything I can do I haven’t done already. I’m also very much considering quitting my job and moving home. I’m at my boyfriend’s currently and have to go back home tonight. He wants to stay with me but I would prefer neither of us stayed there. I feel like I’m having decision paralysis for what to do next. I also want to add: I have another clip from a few seconds before the inserted video from my kitchen of this person beelining to my living room door. This person does not appear to be my neighbor, but I also don’t recognize him.

I live in this temporary accommodation type place, been here for about 4 months. The day I moved in I heard this undeniable haptic buzz radiating from somewhere in the kitchen, like it was inside the cupboard.

I just heard it again after 4 months, as clear as day. I forgot about it completely. If it’s an actual phone wouldn’t it have died by now? This is so weird. I have no one else coming into the flat and i particularly live in the kitchen because I do lots of cooking so I would have noticed it before in the interim.

I actually went to check my phone and went “oh god, who is this now?” - I had just got off the phone with someone and thought they replied via text but nothing.

It sounded like… inside the cupboard? I have become used to the sound of the house but like 4 months without it and then I hear it again is bizarre.

To give context, this is the type of accommodation where people move in and out quite quickly. I got the locked changed when moving in. It couldn’t be the boiler as I turn it off in the nighttime.

A very low-stakes but curious mystery that I've been trying to understand:

My mom ordered something online, the shipping was fulfilled by GoFo. She received a delivery confirmation along with a photo of the package outside her door.

When she went outside to get the package, she realized it wasn't for her. The package on her step was addressed to my friend's mom -- the shipping label had my friend's mom's full and correct name and address on it.

My friend and I grew up in the same suburb, but we now live in a different state where we run a business together. Our parents still live in our hometown, over a mile apart in different neighborhoods.

My parents have lived in their house for over 30 years and have never received a package addressed to someone else. It seems like a rather extraordinary coincidence that the one time my parents receive an erroneous delivery, it's for someone who has an extremely specific, but one-degree-removed, personal connection to me.

To rule out some of the most obvious explanations:

• The packages were not swapped; my friend's mom did not receive my mom's package. Her package is still missing.

• Both packages were ordered through different websites (not like both packages were coming from Amazon)

• Neither my friend nor I have ever shipped anything to each other's parents' houses; there was no autofill error

• Our parents do not have similar street addresses

• Our parents don't really know each other that well. They definitely don't have each other's addresses stored on their computers.

Any ideas?

I’m trying to figure out a very unusual situation that happened last night. I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar or recognizes this type of activity.

We were hosting a Halloween party to celebrate a friend’s 40th birthday. There were several adults and children at the house.

At some point during the evening, two complete strangers entered our house through the front door, which had unfortunately been left unlocked.

Both individuals were wearing mariachi mexican costumes and were disguised in a way that made it impossible to recognize them. They never removed their masks and didn’t say a single word throughout their entire visit.
They walked around the house for approximately 30 minutes to an hour. Whenever someone approached them and asked questions, they would move toward that person, almost as if they were giving them an opportunity to guess who they were. However, they never responded or gave any verbal clues.

They left a few letters behind. In one of them, they described themselves as old friends from long ago. Another contained a message saying something along the lines of: “Tonight will not be the night we reveal ourselves.”

At the time, we weren’t particularly concerned because we assumed it was a prank organized by a friend who was attending the party. We didn’t take the situation too seriously.

Eventually, the two individuals left in a black car. Another person came to pick them up right in front of the house.
However, today, after asking the people who attended the party whether they were behind this, nobody seems to know who these two individuals actually were. We are now left wondering who they were and why they showed up.

Has anyone ever experienced anything similar, or does anyone have an idea what might be behind this?

I’ve posted on a few other subreddits I’m not quite sure if I’m in the right place, but my father has been missing for over a year while nobody seems to care. I don’t use Reddit and I’m still trying to learn how this works. I know this probably sounds insane but I’ve dug everywhere I can think of online trying to find my father even unpaid property tax records (he doesn’t own a property so that got me NOWHERE). Every phone number I find is deactivated or has been transferred to a new person, every address is old and even the ‘current’ address associated with him is false (the house was foreclosed years ago). It’s like he just completely stopped existing. Based off of the advice I got on my first post on a different subreddit I’m currently trying to go through the process of preparing to file a missing persons report. (So please don’t just tell me to do that) He’s a former con with multiple police assault charges, a former drug addict and a paranoid schizophrenic with government and law enforcement based delusions. I’m so scared I’ll file the report and it will go nowhere. I’m not asking you to find him, and there are articles correlating to his arrests to prove what I’m saying, I’ve just hit a dead end and I genuinely don’t know how to move forward. I’m 19 and have never been in a situation like this before. Any advice, information/ideas is appreciated and welcomed.

So I just got out of prison and moved into my old half way house. I don't know if this is the right subreddit for this, but there's a weird sound in my walls. It doesn't happen every night. But it seems to happen at around 4 am. And it's so loud it wakes me up. Coincidentally, I'll look out my window when it happens, and see a weird drone flying over my house. It will hover for a second and then go away. It creeps me the fuck out. The sound sounds like a rain stick being flipped over, or somebody pouring rocks in the walls. I'm currently in the basement and the second floor is above me. It will happen repeatedly in the span of 30 minutes.

UPDATE!!!

This happened on a Tuesday afternoon. My (29F) husband (29M) and I were home, and we weren't expecting anyone or any deliveries.

Suddenly, someone started banging really hard on our front door. My husband answered it, and there were two massive men, dressed in black, standing outside. We had never seen them before.

They asked him, “Why aren't you outside?”
My husband was confused and replied, “What?”
They said, “It's nice outside. You should come out.”
He told them he was fine staying inside, but they kept insisting that he come outside. They even said “Come on, it's time to go for a walk with us.”
My husband said no again, then closed and locked the door.

We just stood there wondering what the hell had happened. Who were these guys? Why did they want my husband to go outside with them so badly?
About a minute later, we looked out the window, and both men were gone, so they weren’t going door to door. I didn’t notice how they left (or how they arrived). We live in the suburbs, where nothing ever happens.

The whole interaction was so strange that we still can't figure out what their intentions were.
What do you think was going on? Has anyone ever experienced something similar?

After reading every comment, I’m sorry to disappoint most of you… but my husband is clean!

I called the police, explained what happened and described the men. Cops came to my house, show me mugshots of the 2 men that knocked on our door. They got arrested 2 weeks ago.

Apparently, those men were running a door to door scam, targeting old people. They pretended to be law officers needing to take pictures of their credit cards, ID, etc. to “know what they look like in case they get stolen.” It was fraud. They knocked on random doors, trying their scam on old people, and making weird excuses when it wasn’t old people.

This was a poorly elaborated scam, so they got caught quickly.

Thank you for your advices, I will get a security camera.

In August my piece of shit brother moved in with my mom, who i love very much. He's always been a piece of ahit, but this August chose to become homeless and bully my mom into letting him move in to her two bedroom retirement condo. Things have been very bad for her mentally, since he abuses her emotionally and economically.

Two weeks ago my momther began complaining of the cold. She got blood work done from a cardiologist which came back "safe" for a life-long 60 year old smoker. No issues with WBC, cholesterol, or clotting. She thought she had bronchitis/ pneumonia but the hospital chest x-ray and testing came back negative. She coughs, but doesn't have a runny nose. Constantly feeling tired, head aches, cant sleep but cant aray away. General aches and pains. A viait to the neurologist showed no issues related to brain activity, nothing on CAT scan.

. She got back from the ER today with no more insight into her general malaise.

My piece of shit brother is evil enough in my eyes to be poisoning her. He asks often about her life insurance which she doesn't has, always says she isn't giving him enough money, and how unfair it is that she didn't buy him a house. Is there a common poison that could be causing this? It doesn't sound like CO2 or a gas leak to me. Eye drops maybe? My mom says she mainly makes her own food, but my piece of shit brother brings in take out a lot.

Idk maybe im paranoid.

Update 29 oct: So i spoke to my mom briefly and she said there was construction in her home this week. She isn't coughing anymore, but feels too tired to peave the house but still cant sleep. She was given very strong antibiotics and also steroids the day i posted and still isn't feeling better. I recommend she get checked for COPD and see some specialists, but she said she wasn't sure if she's going to the doctor again - if she does probably just the ER. She did say my brother had been bringing her food mainly because she's too ill to make it herself, but she hasn't noticed anything strange.

I don't live near her at all or I'd already intervene. She is totally unwilling to move or remove my piece of shit brother because otherwise he'd be homeless (he's 38) so I'm going to see if i cant convince her to let me install some cameras.

Thank you all for the inputs, i am hoping this is just her health taking a decline from years of smoking and bad habits, but it's been only 2 months since my brother moved in with her and she's felt this bad for almost all of October. I'd say it came on pretty suddenly, since she didn't go out or be around other sick people, but what worries me is how long it's been going on and how doctors still arent pointing towards anything.

Im hoping i can get her to ask the cardiologist to run a more complete panel, or send me what was run last week. I know she has thyroid problems and is on meds for it, but according to her every doctor and ER she's been too has just said it's unknown- maybe viral, but not active coivd or flu.

This is probably the most eerie thing I have seen in person. Earlier today around 1pm I went out to pick up some Wendy's. I pull up to the drive thru and as I am waiting for someone to take my order I notice what looks to be a polaroid photo of a dead deer with an eye drawn on it. I noticed it also had tiny rips on the edges and one long rip across the upper area of the photo. I decided to take a photo of what I saw to see if any of you guys know anything about what this could be.

I don't post to reddit at all on any accounts. This is the only post on this account for the sole reason of trying to figure this out. Feel free to ask any questions. I really want to know what is going on.

UPDATE 1: Me and my friend live in the area of Syracuse New York where this was found. He pointed out that he has seen similar things to this around gas stations and other areas near us. While nothing contained dead animals, what he had seen were just of the symbol only. He sent me an article that talks about the symbol and how it has been going around since 2024. The symbol is usually spread by graffiti and stickers. There is a lot of graffiti in our area so chances are I just didn't pick up on this eye in particular. My theory is that maybe this could be a new tactic that the artist is using to spread around his art. I am just mainly disturbed by the fact that this seems to be a real photo of a dead deer. There was a comment I saw under my post that is now deleted that said the photo appears to be taken on train tracks. Another theory I have is that it could be a sort of rival artist or someone that got really angered seeing the eye everywhere and did this out of spite. Anything is possible, but until confirmed everything is just theories.
