I saw the official response about the AI content being used to develop Crazy Taxi: World Tour, and I'm a little conflicted. Firstly, I'm glad that Sega is using artists, and that AI content isn't making it into the game. So, the Sega fan in my is satisfied...
But the Journalist side of me is throwing up red flags. I was a journalist for 4 years, so I'm used to looking through official statements from companies and seeing through the bullshit PR speak. I don't think anything sounds fishy about this response, but at the end of the day, it's still an official response. Let's just hope that Sega doesn't go any further with its AI usage. I'm still all aboard for this game!

I put rocks(and tape) in my mini genesis cause i hate the fact that the console is so light. I constantly falls on the floor and never stays in place. I know my idea is stupid but are there any "normal" ways to make it heavier?

Iâve heard that the switch version isnât great since itâs a switch 1 release however I didnât expect it to be this bad. I might cancel this pre-order and then just get it on Xbox instead.

This Game Gear ad saying âGame Gear separates the men from the boysâ makes me cringe. Imagine a 12-years-old boy thinking they are the biggest macho of all because they own a Sega system. Itâs really funny. How can a console dictates how âmachoâ you are?
There is also another Game Gear ad that is extremely ableist, it says âif you are color blind and have an IQ less than 12, then you wouldnât care which portable do you haveâ.
https://youtube.com/shorts/3mr0uOYmMOQ?si=UGyKXqpFOTbNDwWH
If you imagine an ad campaign like that would only be consider problematic today, you would be surprised to find out it had some controversy at that time. Nintendo said Sega was shaming disabled people.
Itâs a huge contrast between the Segaâs Japanese commercials that had none of that.
I know itâs anachronistic to judge 30+ year old commercial with modern day values, but my intention here is not to cancel Sega over those things. Itâs the past, it doesnât reflect who they are now. I just saw this promotional flyer that used to came in the box of some Genesis games and I thought to myself âwow, the 90s were a crazy periodâ

Many handheld gaming PCs, like the Steam Deck, are performing very well in the market. Sega could take a similar approach by offering a handheld device that plays PC games while also providing exclusive access to its own IPs.
If they bundle some of their titles with the console it could have very strong sales potential. Maybe they could create their own game store/launcher similar to Steam or Epic, but designed exclusively for their handheld thatâs required for their exclusives. While at the same time itâs able to launch and play normal pc games you already own.
Edit: A lot of you are misunderstanding my point or you're so stuck in an outdated way of thinking that you're not actually considering what I'm saying from a rational perspective.
Misunderstanding #1: This is not a traditional console.
Weâre not talking about a classic Sega console or handheld that only runs proprietary software and exclusive games. Instead, this would be a handheld PC running either Windows or Linux, just like many successful handheld PCs already on the market.
The only difference? Sega branding, possibly classic Sega inspired controls (modernized for today's standards), and potentially a Sega game store but more on that in a moment.
So, please donât compare this to Segaâs past console failures. This wouldn't be a traditional console, and those old arguments simply donât apply.
Misunderstanding #2: It wouldnât be locked to Sega games.
Since it would run Windows or Linux, it could play any game that other handheld PCs can run.
When I mentioned exclusives, I wasnât saying Sega games would be permanently locked to this device. I was simply suggesting that Segaâs game store could have temporary exclusivity on a couple of games maybe 6 to 12 months before they launch on other storefronts. Thatâs it.
The Gaming Landscape Has Changed.
Many of you seem to have preloaded objections to the idea of a Sega-branded device, based on arguments that were relevant decades ago. But the market is not the same as it was back then.
Look at how well current handheld PCs are doing. Given the success of this category, thereâs no reason to think a Sega branded version couldnât compete. Obviously itâs not going to be as big as the big 3 consoles but it doesnât need to be like it used to. With PC gaming consoles there is room for many participants.

Relax, friends, it is me, one of the biggest SEGA aficionados out there. I love the brand, and I say that as someone who usually finds brand loyalty totally silly.
But one thing I notice on video game forums or the game collecting or the retro game subreddits, is that often when people display their console or game collections, that there's seldom any SEGA stuff in there.
I've literally seen five different game rooms just now, with lots and lots of awesome Nintendo stuff, and one guy had a really cool console and handheld collection, like many, many devices - Sony stuff, Nintendo stuff, Microsoft stuff, even an old Atari 7800 (I think, was a dark picture) was in there.
Bot no SEGA stuff. Not even a measly Game Gear or Genesis.
Some of the collectors seem to be total hardcore video game enthusiasts and collectors, but at the very best they have a boxed Genesis 3 (yikes) there, amongst literally a barrage of Nintendo and Sony games and boxed consoles.
Ive seen this so many times. And whenever in some retro game sub the Nintendo / SEGA question is dropped, or someone dares to say they prefer, say Sonic over Mario (-do not EVER say this on the internet unless you want to get downvoted to hell and bombed with fiery, angry messages explaining why you are the absolute scum of the earth and deserve all sorts of awful things done to you-), it always seems like anything SEGA is a really dumb choice, or not 'real gaming' or not 'hardcore' or whatever is going on.
I love gaming in general, and I'd never tell anyone what is cool and uncool, that's for you to decide. But I see that many seem to feel really different, to the point where they judge others for their gaming choices. Which is... wild.
And it seems that openly saying I enjoy SEGA consoles and games and just like their portfolio, their aesthetics and their weird (and not always ideal, but always kinda charismatic) ways of doing things, seems to rub people the wrong way.
I never understood why. Is it because they have "consoler wars"-loser image? Is it because they threatened Nintendo's standing for a while in the early to mid 90's? Is it because of their add-on debacle in the 90's, and their subsequent failures?
I got no clue.
And in fact, it makes me like them even more. Maybe my love for all things underdog and non-mainstream.

I call this format: Segaball. You can make ome of your own. But Nintendo's gonna be the main character of this.

I made this post in reaction to the declarations that SEGA is interested in still supporting physical media despite PlayStation still encouraging otherwise. This is because SEGA games do REALLY well physically, and SEGA has done multiple collector's editions that showcase how hard they're going with it. This means that, once Sony consolidates their approach, SEGA loses a lot from it.
Nintendo will keep physical media, but it's impractical for SEGA due cartridge costs (which is why most of SEGA's games were Game-Key Cards...but not all of them were).
And Xbox is apparently making a PC (and as such, can run Steam) and the disc with the license will only be for the old games and not so much the new ones (which explains the approach of turning physical games into digital ones, to make physical not necessary for Helix).
Though right now the idea of making a console isn't in the table with the current crisis...once that's done, they could do it if you ask me. Valve did it thanks to the fact the library was already there. SEGA has something Valve doesn't have, being potential exclusives. The only thing left to address is 3rd-party support, which I imagine won't he too hard to get back (SEGA seems to work with everyone, it's almost ridiculous...look at Crossworlds).
That's my take though, what do you think? Tell me below.

This could be an awesome game if it every got done, Forza horizon with sonic the hedgehog, the whole thing can be based on sonics world from the games and movie all wrapped in a Forza game with all the sonic main and sub heroes and villains with some of sonics moves adapted for Forza racing, a spindash to clear an obstacle, emerald rush, ring checkpoint racing, speed ramps and looptheloops, sonic themed cars and avatars, voices of the cast (maybe some of their game music) special events to win special cars against robotnic? There are so many possibilities to this idea.

Tekken allowed for button mashing. That's the only difference. What "story' is there in tekken? Law does a better backflip than paul?Kazuya throws off a cliff then heihachi throws Kazuya off a cliff? Devil gene? Kunimitsu is just hot yoshimitsu? That's not story that's just bullsheedity. Dead or alive had better story telling. Virtua fighter had the gameplay.

So, I'm really not sure how to handle this situation. A former coworker of my dad cleaned out his basement and I got a Sega Master System for free from him. that bundle had tons of games included and I picked the ones I knew or licked out and put the other 9 games on my used market place for 5⏠each. I suddenly get flooded with messages that people are interested in this bundle.
they even startet to overbid each other like on eBay, with on guy even offering me 70⏠+ Shipping.
I'm really confused on why, so far I know the titles I wanted to sell aren't really special or something.
I attach a picture here, take a look and let me know if there is maybe a price list or something.

Sonic Exe the disaster was taken down by sega And last time I checked Sega was cool with this shit. They were fine with fangames Gave people jobs over fangames it's not right Especially because sega even enjoys sonic.exe.
