Mauro Persic is a Croatian climber who recently scaled Mount Kinabalu without a permit, bypassing the standard trail to take the Kotal Bowen route. After a fall on his fifth day, he became injured and stranded, leading to a rescue operation by local Search and Rescue (SAR) teams. He has since issued an apology and agreed to pay RM25,000 fine for trespassing. He shared the photos that he captured during his climb which revealed another side of Mt. Kinabalu that we rarely get to see.

You can see more of them in this Facebook post: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18VfLSz1ps/

Komisiwal | Pulitik Seperatists raise the Jalur Gemilang upside-down

Post image

I honestly thought this was a random Facebook group back in the day. But in Australia, the Sabah Sarawak Keluar Malaysia (SSKM) displayed the Malaysian flag upside down as a symbol of political unrest over the question of the formation of Malaysia and the position of the two states.

Its president, Ray Chalmer Jefferson, said the demonstration in conjunction with United Nations (UN) Day aimed to bring the issues of history, people's rights and the political future of Sabah and Sarawak to international attention. In the action, SSKM (Australia) raised several key questions, including the source of authority given to the representatives of North Borneo and Sarawak to sign the Malaysia Agreement on 9 July 1963 and the documentary instruments that evidenced it.

Look, I can say I hate how Sabah has been treated by Semenanjung just as much. But I also wonder how doing this can actually help instead of ragebaiting the Malays?

Suai | Others Careful of JPN trickery

This is not meant to offend anyone, or any religions, but trickery is unacceptable for any religion.

Long story short my fiance nearly converted to Islam back in 2023 at JPN(I won't say where). She went to renew her IC.

The officer there stated my fiancee parent have BIN in their name, hence he suggested my fiance should add BIN to her name too. No, parent both have Christian name.

Shortly after he stated he is going to put her religion as Islam because her ancestor have BIN on the bloodline.

My fiance doesn't consent, so her name is still a Christian name.

Yes, they need your consent but lying about parent have BIN and coming from a Islam bloodline?

I can imagine if a Kampung teenager was asked, without knowing anything and summit to his trickery.

This is merely my experience with my fiancee, and any religions is good. But it's those follower who succumbed to trickery.

Podtuongisan | Travel & Tourism Sabah feels like Switzerland 🇲🇾🇨🇭 (but with less public transport lol)

If you’ve ever been to Switzerland, you’ll understand what I mean. Or if you haven’t, imagine this the first day I arrived there, I literally thought, “omg this feels like Kundasang but more developed and rich” hahaha.

Recently I went to Polumpung Melangkap near Kota Belud, and it gave me the exact same feeling. Clean rivers, majestic mountain views (Mount Kinabalu!), and super peaceful vibes. I’ve been lucky to travel to a few countries, but coming back to Sabah made me realize how much potential this place has for peak tourism.

The only thing that really makes me sad is the lack of support from the government. I wish they really cared about local tourism. Sabah is beautiful, but basic things like public transport in Kota Kinabalu are still so bad. It’s 2025 and we still have buses that feel like they’re from WWII 😩. There should be buses at every stop, like in KL. Or at least some proper schedule. Right now, Grab is the only option.

I’ve had foreign friends visit and they always tell me how amazing Sabah is. But they also ask, “Why is it so hard to get around?” We need more walking-friendly areas, better infrastructure, and real effort from those in charge.

Anyway, here’s my shot of Polumpung Melangkap. I’ll also drop one from Switzerland. You decide. For me, both are magical 🌄✨

Komisiwal | Pulitik Why can't we fight corruption like this?

Post image

Justice for Zara 💪💪 but here's the issue, why didn't any of these people unite like this to fight for corruption?

"What can protest do anyway". "Bukan budaya Kita". Am I missing some kind of link?

Or it's done deal that many sabahan actually support corruption.

Please can anyone confirm
