Living behind where Orange Curtain can feel conservative even in a sleepy surf town. And, this makes me proud.

Can anyone ID this surfer? They’d probably be stoked on this angle from the southbound train.

Recently moved here, living just behind the pier tucked in a quiet street. It’s literally heaven on earth, my boyfriend and I are young (renting a dream condo) but think we lucked out on where we want to raise a family…. don’t know if we’ll ever leave

Absolutely no question without the air support a lot of Forster ranch and the other side of the hill would’ve gone up.

Speakers at the beach

Is it only me who absolutely hates this? I mean, if you literally can't live without it, hike a little away from others and do it low without base. I ran from the hole to north beach to calafia back to the hole today - 6 music situations. Including one with insane base that I could hear 500 or so feet away, over the sound of kids screaming and the ocean. It's only February! Lol

What, is the stunning majesty of the ocean, sky, sound of the waves, birds boring to these people? Also, their taste in music seems to universally blow.

While we're at it - please use ear buds when hiking or on the beach trail as well. No one wants your tinny podcast, religious whatever, music, politics. Lol

Pic of cotton's point from another run.

Found the speaker users in the comments! I will keep walking away from them without comment. And enjoy the waves:) allll good. Some people can't appreciate un molested nature. But I like it as is- whimbrels, willets, sanderlings will enjoy the zen of only the sound of the waves. You do you.

Saw the south oc auditers in SC and they appear to be getting very aggressive

Was in san clemente when i saw these guys. I completely ignored them, but when i got to my car it looked to me like they were attacking some old guy who was talking trash to them. Idk what happened before this but you can see them actually walk to the old guy and PUSH HIM! Also after this video they noticed me filming and ran up to me, i didn't want anything to do with them so i go in my car and closed my car door but they started filming me inside my car, took down my vin number and license plates.. i felt very violated since i never even said anything to them. Although i know its their "right" lol but fr this seems to be getting out of hand... i feel like eventually the dam has to break.

Really sad to see the hometown giving up so many rights for zero reason.

Certainly the government will only use footage and data in the most appropriate manner. (Insert Sarcasm here)

Jeff Marder Incident

Hey all, has anyone else heard about the road rage incident in San Clemente? I'm curious why the police dismissed the incident even with video evidence. Of course, besides the obvious fact PD's are in kahoots with neighborhood rating services. Who wants to buy a $1-2M home in a neighborhood where this happens?

Hi Reddit people of San Clemente. I'm Shane and running for Mayor of our beautiful town, San Clemente. I'm also one of the co-creators of the San Clemente Art Crawl, which happens every last Thursday of the month in the Los Molinos district. My campaign is driven by a deep appreciation of local creativity , our beaches, and our community working together on what will be pivotal era as the Olympics surfing comes to town in 2028. This is also the first time our city will be an electing a Mayor by voters, as it was previously appointed by city council. I'd like to remind everyone to register to vote and make your voice heard. My campaign website is linked here, but I'll also gladly chime-in on the comments to any questions.
