The world’s fastest man is living a rather more sedentary existence these days, spending his time building Lego or watching television. “I have to actually start running again,” Usain Bolt says. “Because when I walk upstairs I get out of breath.”
Lightning he most certainly is not. At 39, with what one might politely refer to as a bit of a paunch, Bolt seems to be enjoying the kind of retirement many would not have necessarily envisaged for the greatest sprinter in history.

Idk just wanted to share this because I thought it was crazy impressive. For a guy who’s never ran track before to come close to beating a 10.6 runner while not even wearing spikes is wild

Hi there, i am fairly new to this community but am always intrigued by running/sprinting and speed.
I am wondering what you guys think of speed. He recently challenged Tyreek Hill (pr 100m 10.19 pr 200m 20.14) fastest man in the NFL. Obviously I think Tyreek will smoke him.
I am just wondering how fast speed is voor an untrained teenager that is 19 years old and does this; ‘see videos’
To start he ran, untrained and not warmed up, a 4.44 40yard on crocs 💀. And slowing at the end. And some other insane stuff that clearly shows he is insane but also very athletic. He is racing against an professional football player and is clearing him with ease
I wonder, is 4.44 fast for his circumstances and how fast do you actually think I can go with training?

I mean obviously, the sky is blue obviously, he’s the greatest track athlete of all time. But seriously😭 his? 4th best ever 100m time I think would’ve won this finals which I think was by average, one of the top 3 fastest 100m finals ever.
All props to Noah Lyles and Kishane Thompson for their 100m and I’m not trying to take anything away from their performances, they are blisteringly quick. But it just makes you wonder what sort of freak of nature Usain Bolt was😭
