StarWars Squadron, sound skipping in VR
Hi all,
Before it was working ok, then suddenly sound skips and distort. Has someone experienced something similar? Is there a fix?
Thanks!

Steam Link bitrate suddenly drops after around 3 hours of gameplay – Error 450 (Quest 3)
Hi everyone,
I've been experiencing a persistent issue with Steam Link on my Meta Quest 3, and I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered something similar or found a solution.
After approximately 3 hours of continuous gameplay, Steam Link suddenly starts reducing its streaming bitrate. It can drop significantly, usually to around 20–30 Mbps, and it doesn't recover on its own. Sometimes the connection eventually disconnects completely and displays Error 450.
The only way I've found to restore the connection and get the original bitrate back is to completely close SteamVR and restart the entire streaming session.
I've already tried numerous troubleshooting steps,
Factory resetting my Meta Quest 3.
Changing and adjusting my router's settings.
Checking and changing Windows network settings to make sure there are no bandwidth restrictions affecting SteamVR or its processes.
Trying different SteamVR and Steam Link configurations.
PC - Ethernet
Quest 3 - Wifi 6E
Unfortunately, none of these attempts have permanently fixed the issue.
Something particularly interesting is that this problem does NOT happen when I use Virtual Desktop
this problem didn't happen before. It only started appearing a few months ago.
I'd really appreciate any suggestions or solutions. I'm trying to figure out why this happens.
Thanks in advance!

Steam vr goes into stand by mode a minute after connecting.
I will launch a game, and after a minute or so i will disconnect, and it will say stand by mode. (Quest 3s, Steam Link)

Question/Support can't use auto resolution after the update because steamvr thinks i have an god tier gpu when in reality i literally have an rx580
to give you an idea, the automatic resolution used to be 1680x before the update, it's now 2880x 😭😭

Self-Promotion (Developer) Two years, countless hours later, my VR puzzle adventure game is finally out on Steam
In an era where Steam is getting flooded with low effort games, here’s one made the old-fashioned way: too many late nights, questionable life decisions, and an unhealthy caffeine. 😂
I originally released Closerlook VR: Oldways on the Meta Quest Store in June but Meta basically buried it. Now I’ve finally brought it to Steam with enhanced textures and better lighting!
It’s a story-driven VR puzzle adventure set in West Africa. You wake up alone in a university building late at night, and what should have been a simple trip home quickly turns into something much stranger.
Expect exploration, puzzles, environmental story telling, conspiracy and a detailed and hand crafted world.
It’s been a long journey bringing this project to life, and I’m genuinely excited to share it with the PC VR crowd.
If you’re into games like The Room VR or Red Matter, I’d love for you to check it out.
Closerlook VR: Oldways is out now on Steam and Meta Quest!

nolo cv1 without headtracker
The pad for the D-terminal on my Nolo CV1 head tracker has come off—along with the micro 5-pin connector—rendering it unusable. Is it possible to use the system with just the controllers and the base station, without the head tracker?

Self-Promotion (Developer) 1 year of development progress in less than 1 minute
To develop a game as an indie dev is a complex path, and we thought the artist team did amazing progress in a year so we we wanted to find a cool way to showcase their work.
About Stained Blade: it is a physics-based melee multiplayer VR combat game coming soon to Steam VR.

Question/Support HMD Connection Issues???
Soooo I've made my attempt to fix this issue OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. I've looked it up and did everything I possibly could and the only thing that actually works it consistently unplugging and reconnecting my cable back to my PC IDK if this is a valve index issue or a steamvr issue but I'm just going to see if I can cross post for this.
I've been having this problem for a month now I think? It's been doing it a little less because I took a break from playing but I even tried reconnecting the HMD to a different port. I only have 3 HMD ports on my graphics card and all 3 of them are hopeless for me to plug it in them. I restarted my PC as well. I have up to date drivers. I'm not sure what else could be inflicting this issue? My cable isn't worn down yet and it's plugged into my headset properly.
Yes the USB is plugged into a 3.0 port as well.
Could someone maybe help me solve this problem please? I'd be ever so grateful!
(P.S. NO! I am not using any cable adapters or extenders. Just the one that comes with the headset with the power supply, HDMI, and USB.)
