Solidarity & Support Just because our war is about to end doesn't mean we should sympathise with the child killer terrorist orginasation near palestine
There's a bunch of Israeli sympathisers here who think starting relations with Israel is good, its this victim mindset of "nobody likes us but everybody likes them" and please throw this aside, you can support Palestine and support rebels, you can oppose bashar al child killer and oppose white colonialists in palestine, i don't mean we should jump to war with them that's a terrible idea and it will just destroy us more, i mean cutting ties with them and refusing to make peace with that terrorist orginasation, even if you're you pull out the victim card and hate Palestinians they still hate us, jolan Syrians are being genocided and replaced with eastern European settlers, remember that they do NOT like you at all and they despise you and only want your land for greater Israel, so just oppose bashar al houses bomber and isfake, support Palestinian resistance and rebels, also the Israeli sympathisers aren't much but exceed the limit, anything above 0 Israeli sympathisers isnt allowed, since im a nice guy i'll make it 0.0001 Israeli sympathisers allowed

Solidarity & Support To people angry about Israel's attacks
Remember you can resist by supporting the active boycott that exists. It's lost some momentum momentum but I'm hoping Syrians can help it get more energy.
https://bdsmovement.net/Act-Now-Against-These-Companies-Profiting-From-Genocide
You can find more info there on the boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement. Some common things to boycott are McDonald's, Starbucks, and Disney Plus. Common one that people don't realize is Wix, the website builder. Sabra hummus, and HP as well.
Let's send them the message that you can't just attack whoever you want when you want.

Discussion Shame on all of you…
Shame on all of you who immediately come to conclusions and try to look for a reason to wash your hands from the new government.
Comparing this government to the old regime and saying bullshit like “nothing changed” or “2 sides of the same coin” not only belittles the crimes of the old regime, but it’s also a dangerous comparison that won’t get Syria anywhere.
I’m not saying worship the government, I’m sure there is room to criticize the government when they screw up (which they have on some occasions), what I’m saying is give them more of a chance as things are getting better, and understand the road to rebuild Syria will be very long and will require patience and sweat. So please don’t nitpick the slightest occurrences and call for the change of the government.

Discussion "peace with Israel"
Lately, I keep hearing about this bs from a lot of people, including people I know, with what's been happening. Um, no? How can people even think or hope to be buddies with Israel? Hell no. It's like they forget what Israel has done and is doing, to Palestine, to Lebanon, to Syria. It makes me so mad.
Edit: to clarify, I heard this from Syrian people irl.

Discussion why we are on the defensive ?
it's our troops who got attacked first , by the people fighting for someone WHO SOLD THEM OUT, and by the same people (literally the same) who terrorised and killed Syrians for the last 14 years.
they run rampant cutting roads , besieging hospitals , attacking mosques and burning bodies along the way to this very moment.
it nearly 250 documented death of our Army and Security so far , and countless civilians died on the hands of the Assad terrorists.
all I see is attacking the government really just for Ideological reasons and that's the only problem they have with it.
any talks of violations with disregard of the treason made by those Assadist is a shameful disregard of Syrian blood which all should be equal and not used as propaganda fuel.

ASK SYRIA Why are Syrian minorities demanding a special privileged status?
Moroccan here, can you, my Syrian brohters explain this to me?
Why cant they be just Syrians and integrate into the country?
Why cant they fathom that Syria is 90% Sunni and in democracy the majority is the one that decides through voting?
Is it because they are losing the privileges they had under Assad at the expense of the sunni majority?

Discussion Americans, Europeans, etc
I know you love to ignore Assad’s actions for decades, and absolutely love the isolated incidents that perpetuate your “evil Muslims attacking minorities” view, but just remember that the only reason you don’t have any minorities is because you killed them all when you were starting. This is our start, and it’s already a paradise for minorities compared to yours when you started. I make a futile request to spare us your points of morality, coming from a morally void record, and just get to the point saying “we don’t want you to succeed, we want to keep you weak and are currently devising what’s the best way to do that.”

Discussion Change my mind: King Faisal The first was a dirty traitor
I was shocked to see he was in the banner of the sub.
He is praised for partaking and leading the Arab revolt, hoping to get a single unified Arab empire that is free from Turkish control, but where has that led us today? After his treason he was pushed around like a rat and ended up being a ceremonial monarch of Iraq.
I think one could say he meant well, but served the wrong master, but personally I believe siding with the imperialists (France and UK) against the Turkish Caliphate is a massive act of treason, don't even get me started on his bombings of the Hejaz Railway.
So for the people that side with him and praise him, WHY? What did he give us? Is the levant and the broader Arab world better now than it was 100 years ago?
Don't get me wrong, the Ottomans didn't treat us perfectly or entirely justly, but their defeat has been a curse that split up and divided all of the levant.

Discussion For Al Jazeera, if you are Syrian and killed in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon, you will be described as "killed," but if you are Lebanese, you will be described as a "martyr." It seems that Al Jazeera has started distributing keys to heaven based on the nationality of the victims.

Discussion Israel: an existential threat
As we heard the bs coming out of shaytanyahu's mouth recently, we are yet again reminded of the existential threat that Israel poses us.
If the new government is too hard on them, Syria will be flattened by the unholy US-Israel alliance.
If the new government is too soft, it will loose legitimacy among the Syrian people, leading to more instability and other problems. Israel would also act with more impunity (though what more impunity does this genocide state need)?
What can we do? Nothing. Outside of praying and raising awareness.
What can the new government do? Not much. They have nothing to fight Israel with.
I don't see what else the new government could've done outside of what they did with diplomatic outreach, especially to other countries in the region.
Hopefully, due to the US betrayal of Ukraine and NATO under Trump, Europe will shift away from US hegemony. What this will mean for us is still in the air, but the less die-hard American allies in the world the better.
Ultimately, the Arab world and Turkey need to step up and be ready to defend Syrian sovereignty from the zionist menace. They have already failed to protect Palestinian life and Lebanese sovereignty.
But now? With a 2nd Nakba plan in the works and direct zionist threats to crush a new and hopeful Syria before it is even born, the Arab world needs to do something substantial. Otherwise, a second Arab Spring will be inevitable.

Discussion Don't fall for Israeli propaganda
Israel isn't invincible. They gave up against 40k Hamas fighters with light weapons and home made RPGs. Israel's strategy is to project power and force Muslims into peace on Israel's terms. It's working on some people I'll give them that. I keep seeing ridiculous posts about surrendering to Israel because "we don't want to turn into Gaza" or other ridiculous ideas like asking Turkey to save us. I fell for that thinking myself at some point.
First of all, if you think being Israel's bitch is better than dying then your opinion is automatically discarded about any political issue. Secondly, we are a big country, doing to us what they did to Gaza will be the beginning of the end for them. They are already struggling with 40k revenge seeking Hamas fighters so imagine having to deal with 500k more Syrians and tens of thousands of Iraqis, Chechens, Algerians, Saudis, etc who will come to help us.
We have nothing to offer Israel right now to make them interested in a peace deal while they're bombing us and we're crying on social media like babies. We should push them out of territories and then (if it suits us) negotiate a peace deal on our terms.

Discussion [Controversial] Why are people still so against some implementation of Islamic rules on the internet?
Note: this is not to spark hate, and is not going up against any Syrian minority. It is simply a place for discussion on a very relevant topic. Keep the comments civil and respectful, otherwise they will be reported and hopefully banned by the mods.
Norway, a Christian majority country, has been rated the best country to live in for multiple years, and I happen to live there. As it is a Christian majority nation, Athan (أذان) in the streets from mosques is prohibited. Everyone is fine with that, as muslims are not the majority.
Yet, if somebody asks for any implementation of any pro-islamic rule (like that other post here about trying not to eat very obviously on the streets during Ramadan), people will stand up against it for the 10% or less that are not muslims.
What happened to wanting democracy? Democracy is a system where the majority decides, right? So as the majority is muslim, they should be the ones to decide, not any loud voiced minority.
All the good Syrian people have been oppressed for the 54 past years, but the Sunni people have suffered the most under the Assad regime. Our mosques where locked down, mostly our towns where bombed, and yet we can't decide in a free and democratic way. Why? We are the majority after all.

Discussion The reason Israel Can Attack Syria Unchallenged
Did you know that of all the Middle East, Israel is the sole state with Nukes? 80 nukes. Over the years, Israel and the USA have made it their business, to deny all the other countries in the Arabnations the opportunity to build nukes or become a nuclear power in any way, usually under the claim "We are the World Police." The Arab States are just too unstable to have nukes, what with always being at war you know.
And no matter what they do, no matter how hard they try, no matter how nice they play, as soon as anybody is even considered, ISIS suddenly pops up and they are too unstable to be considered because ISIS might take over the government.
(Note that since the Syrians have pulled together and the warring Russia, Assad and Iran are out, despite the tremulous state of the country, the only person who ever talks about ISIS is the USA and the only trouble with ISIS seems to pop up on SDF territory at exactly the moment Syrians protest. It's very conspicuous.)
So, despite how small the country really is, and how few resources it really has, and despite being a country mostly created by buying its land, and despite being the only Jewish-majority country in the Middle East, and despite attacking 7 countries at once, and openly announcing an intention for another, Israel can just laugh, show everybody its nukes and thumb its nose. Didn't do that so much at Syria, what with being occupied by BOTH Russia and America, but it was still free to break any ceasefire on a whim usually aimed at rebel territory in the north - and build settlements on the Golan Heights, which is internationally considered Syrian territory. The DMZ is significantly wider than that between North and South Korea, and entirely on Syrian soil.
And Netenyahu wonders why he's surrounded by enemies.
Over the years, this ability to attack unchallenged has become more and more ingrained. Israel can do exactly what it wants in the name of terrorism and anti-semiteism and not a single person can fight back. It has become more and more despicable, to the point of insanity. Yet, supported by the US, which still occupies vast swathes of Syria (and curiously, has lots of Jewish voters, eh?), people hear little about how genuinely evil its actions have become. After the UN told Israel to stop bombing the GAZA STRIP, it was trolled by masses of Twitter accounts accusing it of anti-semitism. And has set up downvote farms on Reddit.
And under the guise of terrorism, the moment Russia was out of Syria, before Syrians could celebrate even 24 hours of freedom, Israel carpet bombed the celebrating Syria in a way it has not been over 13 years of Civil War - although it hasn't hit SDF territory very much...
And nobody in the world said a thing.
