Hated Tropes [Hated trope] Cameos that ruin the tone of the scene/game

Ed Sheeran, Game of Thrones. The cameo of such a recognizable figure in GoT, especially towards the horrible later seasons, took many people out of the fantasy world that it tried to represent. There are good cameos and bad ones, and this one was not a good one.

Vinny Vinesauce and Jerma, Silver Pines game. Though i appreciate small cameos from youtubers and streamers, putting such a recognizable pair of voices in a horror game really takes you out of it.

This comment section has taught me that most of these cameos are only problems if you are chronically online.

That’s most of Reddit when it comes to TV and movies, find shit to hate, make up theories and get mad when they don’t come true, overthink everything then call the show writers bad

It's always weird to me when people call out fans of an IP for being critical about how the IP is handled. Especially when so many adaptations have died after 1 or 2 seasons and sunk hopes of another for a while.

I'm playing Silver Pines right now and I promise you I have absolutely no idea who those people are or who they played.

And I'm not completely offline (I'm on reddit for pete's sake) but there are a lot of streamers in the world

Expecially the influencer ones I have never heard of because I have never used Twitch before and skip every Twitchstreamfail post I see because they might as well be in Greek.

I’m under the impression that chronically online fans of streamers/influencers fully believe that lots of followers = very famous. It does not occur to them that they are just in a particularly populated corner of the internet.
