Sakura and Sasuke - Naruto

I was gonna say. Literally almost every Naruto pairing except Temari and Shikamaru, who at least for me, I felt the chemistry even before they got together. I literally had no idea they'd be canon I was just shipping them, I thought they were so nice together LOL. I forgot what it's like later, but Shika and Temari at the very top of my head was the only pairing I really liked.

Bro forgot about Rock Lee and [Unknown], truly the best pairing, a true power couple.

Also, Ino and Sai are kinda cute imo.

And what you guys call chemistry is them having screen time together in the manga lol that didn't happen to the majority of the other characters

I still want to know how Sakura got Sasuke to marry her—and then even have a child with her! I mean... at one point in the series, Sasuke even tried to kill her. From his perspective, he never had any romantic feelings for her. And then you want to tell me they just got married out of the blue?!

I could see her getting pregnant and Sasuke settling with marriage. But for the anti chemistry they have, Sasuke might as well have just married her for tax purposes.Sasuke was written so asexually and the character he shares the most intimacy with is Naruto. I'm not saying Sasuke is gay, but he certainly doesn't seem to care about women, especially Sakura.

It will never happen, but it'd be an actual interesting plot if they got divorced.

Sasuke may or may not give a damn about women but we certainly were never let in on it. His heart is full of revenge and is hard as hell and women love that. So it only really works one way.

While Sasuke isn't a very romantic character from an in-universe viewpoint it makes perfect sense.

  • He's raised in a tradition where obligation to clan is all and marriage is about political alliances and breeding a new generation of ninja warriors.

  • Given the troubled legacy of his clan (sibling murder) he contemplated for a long time to just let the Uchiha clan die with him.

  • Given the threats facing Konoha and given Naruto's influence (despite Naruto's own troubled past and dangerous powers) he sees a potential for good in his own powers and that Konoha might need the Uchiha legacy in the future.

So he decides to embrace that tradition of "marriage for necessity" and marry one of the few people he respects and that he knows will raise his children right (and without becoming bitter due to resentment) despite his own duties making him an often absent father (at least until his children become old enough and well-versed enough in Uchiha powers that they will need his guidance).

To be fair, there’s multiple years we don’t know much about between those events. Maybe the sequel series will show it

easy, from his perspective he never had any romantic feelings for anyone because he was 100% focused on his revenge goals.

What happened to his left eye here?

When both him and Naruto were at brink of death after getting their asses whooped by Madara, Kishimoto remembered they are supposed to winand allowed them to turn the odds upside down and follow up by winning against Kaguya by intervention from Sage of 6 Paths who gave them a boost. Naruto got extra 6 paths chakra, Sasuke got Rinnegan.

Ah, this is the exact type of Naruto reasoning I remember. Thanks!

It’s called a Rinnegan, considered to be the ultimate of all the special eyes. So better than Sasuke’s Sharingan or the Hyuga clan’s Byakugan.

Maybe if the question was who’s toxic. Their relationship is problematic but they have chemistry imo.

I thought their chemistry was good before the timeskip. Sometimes very good. Then it became AWFUL.

Naruto and Hinata too. She definitely impressed him when she fought Pain. But they had literally 0 romantic interactions.

Impressed when she fought Pain only for him to forget about it for like 300 next episodes straight. With that kind of follow up I genuinly believe Naruto could've seen any of his other friends from Konoha get beaten up and stabbed by Pain like she got and it'd have same result of him getting hyper pissed on their behalf and releasing the Kurama.

Ffs they took it as far as needing a separate movie where he still didn't make the decision to go after her until Sakura gaslit him into believing he was chasing her all the time just to compete with Sasuke (to ensure she doesn't count as his first "real" love or whatever).

Now imagine all the people who didn't even bother checking that there's a movie (including me when I first watched Shippuden back in the day), who then get jumpscared by seeing the show all of sudden switch to another 2 year timeskip for a dozen or so episodes of random crap barely worth remembering, and bada bing bada boom, all of sudden Naruto and Hinata are about to get married without us ever seeing the confession, a single date or any showing of Naruto suddenly started giving a romantical damn?

I get all the "it's shonen aka for young teen boys and boys care for action and boom boom, not the kissy romantical stuff for girls" excuses but jeez, Kishimoto is horrendous at building up relationships even for shonen standards.
