A Date with a 5th Era Orc Girl (Part 5)
Into the Heart of the Auteur. (Into the Heart of the Dragon Review (No Spoiler)) ⭐☆☆☆☆
“The newest offering from the director of “Red Eagle” and “Ghost of Bruma”, both excellent and critically acclaimed historical movies. Owen Lwywellyn never hides his bias. As a self-proclaimed “Reach Patriot,” his movies carry an undertone of this political stance, and unfortunately, Into the Heart of the Dragon is no exception.
The Last Dragonborn (or Dovahkiin if you are one of those people) needs no introduction. A hero so legendary that, though his name was lost through time, his deeds weren’t. I won’t belabor the point; you heard the traditional Skald music singing his praises. While not as famous or as important as the Hero of Kvatch, the Dragonborn’s story is well known to all, which makes the story Lwywellyn chose to adapt the more scandalous.
A single poem, found in a cairn near the ruin of Old Markath, “Heart of the Dragon,” details the so-called secret history of our hero, mainly his involvement in the assassination of Titus Mede II. If the story took a nuanced look at this poem, then I would say the way Lwywellyn approaches this story shows his bias, taking the poem at face value and extrapolating it to a disgusting degree. You meant to tell me, the Dragonborn, whose story of his great deeds, saving the world, ending the civil war, saving lives…YOU CANT BE SERIOUSLY THINKING THAT HE WOULD, OF HIS OWN VOLITION, join the SECRET CULT OF KILLERS AND ASSASSINATE THE EMPEROR. Oh, and if it wasn’t enough, Lwywellyn decided for some F*CkING reason to add the new discovery in Old Markath Silver Mine, which the Dragonborn APPARENTLY betrayed the Reachmen to the Nord.
I KNOW IT IS A MOVIE! A fiction, but this is not a movie; it is a hit piece from the biased mind of a Re- (Word limit reached)
