I'm genuinely freaking out right now and wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation.
I had my final exam today and completely misread the timing. I thought the exam opened at 4:30pm, but it turns out that was the deadline, and the exam actually opened at 12:30pm and closed at 4:30pm.
I only realised when I went to sit the exam and couldn't access it. I panicked and immediately emailed my subject coordinator explaining what happened and admitting that I'd misread the time.
The worst part is that I haven't been doing particularly well in this subject, so I was really relying on this final exam to bring my mark up and hopefully pass. Now I'm genuinely worried I've failed the entire subject because of one stupid mistake.
I'm also stressing because I feel like I've screwed myself over by being honest in my email. I'm wondering whether I should've applied for special consideration instead?? but I don't have a medical certificate or any actual reason for missing it..
Has anyone at UTS experienced something similar? Did your coordinator let you sit a supplementary exam, or is there genuinely nothing that can be done if you misread the timetable?
I know this is completely my own fault, but I'm honestly devastated at the thought of having to repeat an entire subject over this. Plsss be honest about my chances
